I have finally weaned myself off soda, but I have noticed that I am having backpain in the morning when I wake up. It usally goes away after I urinate. Sometimes it lasts a little longer. My bun and creat. was within normal limits. I don't have any other symptoms either, just a.m. back pain. I have my first doctor's appointment on the 3rd of April . do you think I should call the bariatric doctor's office and let them know? My family doctor is out of town. Anyone else out there have this problem? Suggestions?

When you eliminated soda did you replace it with water or some other liquid? Could it be you're not getting in the ounces you need? Call the doctor is my recommendation. Hugs and love, Lana

That is good that you elimanated sodas. Good job but you need to replace it with more water. that could be your problem is that your kidneys arent getting enough fluid to really work well. Try it for a few days and see if the pain doesnt go away. Jan

Elisa, the above is true. But I also know back pain could be a symptom of urinary infection or kidney infection. If it keeps up please call your doctor so they can check it. Colette
