I got the name of the insurance,Its called United American Insurance Company. The lady was very nice and she explain everything detail by detail. I had a my partner wit me so both can decide if that sound like what I need it. She told us that they will cover the wls, and they have done it before and they been in business since 1946 and u can find there website online. They wont pay all tho, but I will have no deductibles. It haves to be medical necssary and I might have to do 6 mos of supervise diet. So if you heard of them let me know,and how do this sound now. Barbara, I've heard of them but do not know anything really about them. I have seen it cross my desk so some pts in our clinic have that ins.It can't hurt to talk to them. You need to get a WRITTEN copy of all the guidlines as to "what" consitutes "medcally necessary" to this company. Sometimes it's a fine line and you don't want to get lost in the crack and have them not be willing to cover ANY of it. ALso find out if you have to be one the policy for so long BEFORE they will cover it. Then find out if the will STILL insure you AFTER WLS. I couldn't fin PRIVATE ins after my WLS. Thye considered me too high of a risk. I had to go to work for a large co to get a "group" plan. I would NOT sign up for the policy until they've provided answers to ALL your questions and you have no doubts that they will cover WLS. Good luck! Tami

Thank you Tami I have written down what u told me to ask. I will ask her when me and her meet again. I didnt know it would be this hard Just thought if they said they would cover it that would be it. This is hard! I'm mean I do wanna get the surgery But I do need some insurance on me now due to my gerd. Doc visit's are not cheap. And I need to see a doc cuz I have a lot of chest pains and My left harm hurt alot! I be thinking Im going to have a heart attack soon. So if I can get some kind of insurance that will help wit doc bills I will be fine with that. And the job that I got wont start insurance until I work 90 days. So will keep you posted and let you know what she says before I sign my life away or not lol!
