WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY
Did anyone see Survivor last night. There was a stupid basketball game on and I just wondered if they still had Survivor on and just we didn't get to see it. Help???? If anyone happened to record it would love to see it. I will pay you postage for it.
Well never mind I went to Google and found out that it didn't show last night. Will be a special episode shown on Wednesday.
Well we pretty well have the front part cleaned up as of today. Now we need to get the bulldozer guy back down here to level it all out. He told me he would go ahead and dig my hole where I want my pond put but I think I will not have him to do it., not sure.
We might not get it done this year and then we will have the ugly unfinished hole out there. I guess just wait and dig it ourselves when we want to start on it. I think we have spent way too much money this year already. The pond will be really big with a waterfall so it will take a really big pump and that alone will probably be about 500 dollars. Yeah I know that is a lot of money.
Went to town this afternoon and got our dog some worm medicine and potting soil and a few groceries. Bought the corn beef brisket and some cabbage to fix for us tomorrow.
Joe loves it as do I.
I need to tomorrow call Lisa, the girl from Forsyth to remind her of the meeting this month. I think she will go she was very excited about it after the last one.
Tony I sure do hope you found a way to save your home and keep from having to move out. The advice Pixielf gave you was right on the money.
Lana, I have wondered the same thing many times about the protein consumption. I know a lot of people say that about 30 grams of protein in an hour but I have never seen any thing to back that up. I wonder where the answer came from.
To everyone that responded to the prayer list , just know that I have the list and daily take it with me into prayer. I have a corner place in my garden that I have started using for my prayer place. I am hoping to make it very special and nice.
To all the new Post -ops Know that I am praying for you to make it thru the next few days. The tireness will go away after awhile. Rest and take naps when you can. I remember the first 2 weeks after for me I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I got into the habit of taking a nap around noon every day for awhile but now unless I am really tired I don't do that anymore.
Pre-Ops. I know you are getting anxious, Richelle, Christy, Shawn, Julia, I hope I haven't missed anyone . We will all be praying for you on your special day. And if you don't have an angel please ask for one. Im sure someone will be glad to have your husband or who ever is at the hospital with you to call them so they can post on the board how you are doing.
Michelle M: Yeah that is about all that I do talk about most of the time is working outdoors. If you don't know it we have 5 lots. And it is filled with flower beds and pathways. Not a lot of grass from my Hubby to mow. He does have to help me with watering sometimes. Especially last summer but im sure I can do a lot of it myself this year.
Hey why do you have to go to the Psychiatrist and the Psychologist both? They need two professionals to certify that you are well ? lol
Tammy: Im glad that the step daughter is doing well. Yes I know what you mean about them you never know what they are going to do from one time to the next do you? I have said that if there is a hell here on earth it would be being the mother of teenagers. Lol
Yeah the camera thing would have been a good idea with those two on a trip, maybe like Thelma and Louise ? You think?
We would love to have you every month but like you said it really is a very long drive here and back.
If ever you want to come again and don't want to drive all the way back home you can stay all night in my guest house. (trailer) that we are in the process of fixing it up.

Janet: Maybe you and Melissa ought to take another road trip and take someone along to run the camcorder. Might be able to make some money off of that. Lol
Just a note if you are having to pay for the Flexeril yourself , out of pocket. Take it to wal mart and have it filled as it will cost you only 4.00 there other wise will be mega bucks for some reason. Wal mart uses the generic but it is just as good as the name stuff.
Yeah get that pool ready I can see some days of having the girls there in the pool lol
Melissa: So glad you and Janet had fun in Columbia, Maybe fun isn't the word I should use. Maybe mayhem or wild fun would be a better word.

When you go to be with grandson and surgery will you be back home soon enough to come to the meeting on the 26th. Sure hope so.
Rebecca : So good to hear from you again. Glad things are starting to move along with your quest for surgery. Im sure that it will happen before too much longer.
Good luck on the sleep study. Will they let you take a sleep medicine for the sleep study?

Jan, I bet all of your lots are just beautiful!!! Maybe, I will get the energy to get out and work in my yard soon. I was hoping to be able to Sun but it looks as though it might rain. Yes, I think Dr. Scott thinks I need both a psychologist and a psychiatrist both to tell me I am...LOL No, all humor aside, I have had some problems with depression in my past and he wants to make sure I will be able to get through the depression that WLS will send my way. I am happy I have a Dr. that cares enough to make sure I am going o be ok before getting a few bucks in his pocket. It says a lot for character. I am grateful now a few days later!! When he first told me he wanted me to do all these things I have to admit I was very unhappy because I want this done yesterday but I think someone upstairs wanted to tell me to slow down a little I have been fat for so many years that I don't ever remember weighing in at a normal weight. Whats a few more months gonna do???

And thanks soooooo much for offering your guest trailor. I may take you up on that some day. It was such a joy to meet all of you and Id love to do it again sometime. Maybe I will wait awhile, until I have my surgery and pop in and see if yall know who I am..hehehehhehehheheheheheheeeee.

They told me I needed to find a Psychatrist or Psycologist that can do the WLS psyc consult for me and they would fax them papers that covers what they want them to do. Then I also have to see their person too. I'm not sure why you see both unless they cover different things.

I hope to find out the for sure answer to the question on the protein amounts.....Some days I have trouble finding time to get all mine in the doctor requested me to have...I had thought about doing them one and a half at at time to try to get them in better, but then I heard some of the grams of protein would be wasted......Guess I will check it out further and see so I will know if I can do that or not. Sure would be nice!!!!
Soooo Sugar.... How's things going your way????? I like hearing from all you new bench people so I know what I can expect when my DAY finally gets here. I'm so anxious and excited that I'm about half way there now, but at the same time it's hard not to be nervous about how things will go or that you might have to deal with in the begining. I wouldn't change my mind now for hardly any thing but I do want to be mentally prepared.
Guess I best hit the sack, it's really getting late and my house got nominated for my nephews 18th birthday BBQ tomorrow.....So I'm sure it's going to be a busy day!

Cant wait-mine is on Tues....sometimes it feels like we have been married for 50 years and other times it seems like just yesterday! I sure feel blessed to have him as my husband and best friend!
I have to say-LOVE to see all the new faces on here...its great to have so many newbies-and I sure hope to see all of you at the reunion or support meetings!! We always have room on our bench for you-and in our hearts as well!
Yesterday didnt do much of anything! Other than cleaning and more cleaning, it was too nippy to stay outside for any length of time, so I didnt! Get cold too quick now, and seems to take forever to warm up!
I will be getting on line sometime this weekend and posting about the reunion. Am having some difficulties finding places in Lake of the Ozarks that dont REQUIRE damage deposits that are outrageous and/or minimim nights stay-up to a week for some, or 3 nights non refundable deposit-even if you just stay one or two nights. I know I cant afford that-and dont think a lot of others can either....I have emailed my little heart out to many places with no returns from them yet. Sent 2nd emails yesterday and nothing as of yet. Am going to make some calls today and then I will get on and post.
Jan, sounds like the yard work is coming along. I sure cant wait to come and visit. I love flowers and beautiful gardens! I wish I could do that too-but cant right now, so I am dealing with the little bit that I have....wi**** would stay a little sunnier-a little longer so I could put some of my plants in the sunshine and not freeze them!
Thelma and Louise? Yeah-that pretty much fits us....She stopped at this gas station and I went in to pay since it was pre-pay....waited like 15 minutes-asked the lady-IS she done yet? I was standing there with this man that kept looking and staring at my chest-GEEZ...Think Mel knew what was going on-its never taken ME that long to pump gas and my car has a bigger tank than the Focus we took up there-Holy Cow-so the next morning she pulls in there again and the guy is there AGAIN and is standing outsdie the station and I am like- YOU CANNOT MAKE ME GO IN THERE AGAIN! Pervert. Was gonna ask him if he wanted to take a picture-but thought he may pull a one shot camera off the shelf, so I didnt!! LOL...maybe the baggy clothes were better for situations like that, huh? I just hope the ladies from the office dont read these posts-or they will know about the pictures!! I thought about that AFTER I posted it on line-LOL....
The one thing that makes me laugh-is every time her or I makes a comments about something or situation around us-it happens to us-so now we have learned just to smile and laugh-not saying anything about it. One lady didnt stop when she pulled up to the parking spot and went up on the sidewalk-and Mel made a comment about it-and then she did the same thing! This happens to us all the time...we made a comment about someone with a fat *ss parking so close to the yellow parking lines-and when we came out of the dr visit-Mel had to SQUEEZE into the car-and almost didnt make it-she had the dust from the truck across her butt from having to go sideways to get in! We couldnt find these little things we usually carry in our cars about leaving a can opener so we can get in our cars! I am gonna find them and put them back in my wallet for future use when I go somewhere with her!
Well, I better close for now, I am going to town, and then to Gordons to have my hubbys wedding ring sized so he can wear it again...its too small! He is gaining what I am losing (just not as much-LOL) and I figured since I would be at the mall, that they could take some links out of my favorite watch since I can just slip it off my hand now! WOO-HOO!! So, I better get my day going, get the protein in and vitamins and away I go....I hope you all have a wonderful weekend...I am praying for everyone and I will talk to you soon. Love, Janet

Good Evening, Missouri Peeps:
Just wanted to check in and let you all know how my day went today. My hubby and I left the house around 10:30 a.m. and got home around 3:00 p.m. First time I've been out for that length of time since my surgery. We went to Borders where I bought Susan Marie Leach's book "Before and After". It's a great book and has lots of wonderful recipes for each states of wls! Then we went to the Mall (had to pick up a jar of vanilla protein mix). We walked twice around the mall which is approximately 1/2 mile. Took us about 40 minutes. We then went to Applebee's. Hubby had a spinach and shrimp salad with a bowl of tomato basil soup, I just had a bowl of tomato basil soup but it was delicious and totally satisified me! Then we went to Walmart where we shopped and walked for about 30 minutes. I got plenty of walking into day! Hurray for me! lol
We came home and I promptly put on my pj's and got into bed, read a few chapters of the book I just bought and fell asleep. I didn't get up until almost 7:00!! Wow, I guess I was really tired after our day out.
I'm only able to get about 30 grams of protein in a day. I gotta try to do better. I'm going to order a couple bottles of the DaVinci SF liquids Melissa emailed me.
Well, I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend. I'm looking forward to going to Sunday School and Church Services in the morning. I missed last Sunday due to the surgery and the sunday before that because David and I were in the Ozarks.
