WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY

My sister from Houston is in town for a couple of days. So I spent the day with her. She was really impressed about how much weight I had lost. She is a little bitty thing and has never been big at all. Don't know why she has always been tiny and Sugar and I got all the fat in our family. Lol. Talked to Sugar this evening and she said that last night she took some of the narcotic to ease the pain before she went to bed and it did her just like it always does. Dizzy, sick at her stomach and loopy , it did stop the pain but she didn't want to feel that way. So she called and they ordered her some ultram and that it works. Without being stupid feeling. Hopefully most of her pain will be gone tomorrow after getting her drain out. She said she didn't know if she would be home tomorrow after that or not but would see how she felt . I didn't do much else today . We got home about 6:30pm. In time to watch American Idol . results show. Didn't like the results lol Debbie M: I never thought I would ever have a green house too. It is so nice. I love it. And it is full with little plants growing everywhere. I never thought Joe would be into the gardening thing either but he is. He loves to help me plant and tend to them. He is always saying look Honey we could put another flower bed here . lol. I tell him you build them I will fill them up with something. Yeah we have driven a Trike before. They do handle completely different than a reg bike But are easy to get in the groove of. But I don't think we will be getting one soon . We just cant afford one right now. You are talking about around 30,000.00 Pretty expensive. We use to belong to the Christian Motorcyclist club. The one that is headquarters in Arkansas. They have clubs all over the world. Every year in the fall they have a Changing of the Colors rally in Hatfield Ark. They have a huge big camp ground down there. With a large meeting building . That is where the church services are held and the singers etc. It was really neat. I cant believe that someone would steal other peoples dogs but we don't know what else to think. It is only big pure bred dogs that are disappearing. Believe me if I had seen them Joes gun would have been out too. Rolling tubs? You know the old fashioned wash tubs that were made two of them together? They had wheels on them? Well he has a set of them and he plants his lettuce in them one side and then about a week later plants the other side and he did this all last summer , by moving the tubs to the shade all the time. And it kept them cool enough to keep the lettuce from bolting. Well that is one thing that I have to do on my own is stick to my diet. Joe loves snack foods and he wont give them up but I had already gotten use to that before I had surgery so now I make protein balls and when he is scarfing down something sweet I get a protein ball and nibble on that. Good weight loss for a month. Keep up the good work. Sherr: sounds like you have had some really bad problems all of your life with your back and all. What are you taking now for your pain? I take 1 to 2 Ultram 3x a day plus Tylenol and Flexarill. Yeah if the injections were going to help your mom she would have gotten some relief by day 3 anyway after all the injections were in. She got a series of three shots? Keeping squirrels out of things is a big problem. But I bought some stuff from the feed store called Ro-Pel that seems to be working. You dip each bulb in it before you plant it. There are other things out there too that is suppose to repel squirrels. Some say Cayenne pepper but my squirrels must be Mexican squirrels. They like it I guess it doesn't deter them any. You can make wire mesh cages to put around each bulb if you want . that keeps them out. Some people plant their bulbs and then lay a layer of wire mesh on top of them and covers it with dirt. That is easier than cages. Im glad your babies are better than they were. I know you worry about them. I hope your sale goes really well this week end. I bet you have some nice stuff. Vesta: what kind of the protein bars did you order? I sent off an order this morning too. You should have them in about 3 days or so. They really are good for when you are out and away from home to have some protein that you can carry in your purse. Yeah the tomato plants I have left I transplanted them into gallon pots and they are growing so big. They are about a foot above the pots now. I have been using a weakened down version of miracle grow on them about once a week. Debbie D: Missouri Peeps , Sherr started that I think , I guess it means Missouri People. Oh I hope you don't get the flu with you just having surgery that might not go too well. When you get the tree if you need to know anything else just ask away. If I don't know im sure I can find you the answer in my library books lol The bike sounds like a lot of fun. Wont be long till you will be able to go farther and faster than before. Collete: you and Mel be careful on your trip to Houston. Yeah it is pretty in Houston in the spring time but in summer it is awful . Still pretty but too hot to enjoy it. Good Morning Everyone: Well we made it back safe and sound from Columbia tonight. We both got glowing reports from our Doctors. Janet kind of sort of got to meet (see) Dr. Scott. My spirits were so high after seeing him that I think I could of floated home. lol When he walked in he said Oh My YOUR SHRINKING!!!! Yea!!! Dr. Scott told me to keep up the great work that I was his STAR SLEEVE PATIENT!!! Man you dont know how great that made me feel. I want to make him proud also. And to know that he didnt make a bad decision when he accepted me to do the surgery on. He also floored me when he took photo's of my apron (the fat flap on my stomach). He is going to do a report and sibmit it to my insurance to see if they will approve a tummy tuck!!! I was so totally schocked!!!!! WOW to actually think I might be able to have a flatter tummy then I have had in over 20 something years!!!! Blew me away. When I finally got back to the room to see Dr. Scott (he was running behind). I had a student doctor come in and ask me alot of questions and so forth. That poor guy didnt know what he was getting himself into when he stepped thro the door with Janet & I in the room. We were lol-ing so hard. You would of thought we were either drunk or some silly school girls with crushes. Janet & I said we will proabley be asked not to come into the room with each other again. Just kidding!!! He was lol-ing with us and said we looked like we was having a good time. Janet said that because were fun people. Of course I had to pop off with "If we had a drink we would be even funner" He busted up laughing. Poor kid he he he Anyways I had a blast. It was just what I needed to get away from it all for a few days. And have girls time only. We went all over Columbia and even wound up in Moberly checking out the stores there. Found some cute pants (24W) and skirt for like $3 and $4 each. After Janet dragged me all over Columbia (just kidding Janet you know I love ya) We went back to the hotel and jumped into the pool and then relaxed in the hottub. Man did that ever feel good. If it would of fit in my trunk I would of brought it home with me. Got home and my DH had a surprise for me. He went down and had my ring that he bought me last year for our anniversary resized. I have went from a ring size 10 to 10 1/2 to and 8!!!!! So when he gave it to me he got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him all over again. Of course I said in a heartbeat and bawled. We snuggled and watched tv. I feel like I have been drug thro a knot hole backwards. But all in all I had a good time and say happy to be back home with DH. I hope all is well with everyone. A male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose, still heavily sedated from a difficult four hour, surgical procedure. A young, student nurse appears to give him a partial sponge bath. Nurse", he mumbles, from behind the mask. "Are my testicles black?" Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet. " He struggles to ask again, "Nurse, are my testicles black?" Concerned that he may elevate his vitals from worry about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and sheepishly pulls back the covers. She raises his gown, holds his penis in one hand and his testicles in the other, lifting and moving them around. Then , she takes a close look and says, "There's nothing wrong with them, Sir!!" The man pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her and says very slowly, "Thank you very much. Hi Jan and OH Peeps~ Deb D-you dont have to use the Peeps part-I just started doing that myself-so no one specifically named the board that-just my deal.....lol-dont care if you use it or your own thing!! Jan-I am so sorry someone stole your dog. I hope they find those dinks and get your pet back and put them in jail!! Thats too many purebred dogs disappearing to be a coincidence. Dang it-I am so sorry. I will be praying for her safe return. The trip to Columbia was awesome. A little short, but it was SO NICE to get away from all the "stuff" going on at home and get away! The night before we left my mom had called me and said she had some flexiril if I wanted to come and get them, so I could try them and see if they worked....THEY WORKED....My back only hurt briefly for a time or two...and that was it. I kept it in my system though and didnt let it wear off for fear it would (the pain) start over. My Dr. said I can take it and so I will be getting some from my ortho when I go see him on the 29th of this month. I called my ortho yesterday because he doesnt do any back surgeries, but I wanted to see if he would check into the test results and advise on what I should do-and they said they certainly will-and they have a person there, I believe they said the nurse practioner, but cant remember now-that will do the epidural too-so I am going to see him and we will go from there. The only thing that bothers me is when they talked about disingration and possible surgery. I already had done the research for the fusing etc...and I just dont want to go that route right now-if I can control the pain with the flexiril and epidurals for awhile-so be it. The cyst-well, if its not attached to anything that could paralyze me, the nurse told me yesterday that doc would more than likely be able to remove it. Keep your fingers crossed-I am. My appt went well-although their scale registered only 112# weight loss-not 115#, but since I have my female issues right now-no biggie. They said I was exceeding the normal weight loss and their expectations and so I was so very pleased with myself and my progress. The nurse there, Natalie-said it would be possible, very much so for me to hit my goal by one year post op-Wooo-Hoooo....Had to have my labs drawn by a "butcher" and I have the best vein of anyone I know-and this woman butchered me....MAN....Glad it happened to me though, so I could tell Mel (who has rolling veins and is a really hard stick) to get her labs done at home!!! So, she brought her order home with her. Dont let her fool you-SHE dragged ME all over Columbia...thank goodness back wasnt hurting because my feet were retaliating against me-the Nikes I walk a mile in every day-all the sudden felt as if I was wearing shoes 5 times too small and I put on my sandals-hurt-then put on a pair of Crocks that Mel bought....OOOWWWW.....When we got to the motel-almost didnt get our room rate we were quoted-and when Mel opened her mouth to the little clerk behind the counter-I was thinking-this is it-this is where the cops will be called and we are going to jail...good thing she argues our points (said so right there on the screen from the girl who took reservation that they gave us certain room rate because she argued with her soooo long!!) I am letting her plan my next family vacation!!! LOL...ok-so we go to unload the car...I have this BIG bag-with spare clothes....and I walk in with BOTH hands full-no cart things around, no men to carry anything...and I am looking for the elevator and Mel busts out laughing-and she laughed the WHOLE time I was dragging this huge bag up ALL those damn stairs!!! One stair at a time. Bag, then me, Bag, then me...and so on...I was wishing that I had just packed underwear...LOL....next time I will know better!!! It sure felt good to laugh..the silliest things gave us the giggles-and once we got started-tht was it. The poor "fellow dr" that came in before Dr. Scott-I think maybe he quit school and left after he had to deal with us-LOL...no-but he sure had his hands full. I was jelous I told him, cause no one massaged my legs the day before-or listened to my heart or anything-DANG....I wanted a little of that attention!!! He didnt go for it though. However, while I was watching him, Mel could see me in the mirror and she just kept busting out laughing-so he is thinking I am behind him doing things-and I wasnt...(Wink Wink) anyway-I ended up having to sit NEXT to her so he could keep his eye on me...Oh-and you guys need to ask Mel what she did in the waiting room after one of the girls from the office said it was her pet peeve that the pictures were crooked all the time......Mel is NOT that innocent little person she pretends to be on line...LOL LOL...(Mel, ya know I love ya sis!) We were asked by my surgeon if she could give some students our phone numbers to be interviewed for the wls and etc-and we both agreed. That kind of made me feel proud. Told her that I would even go to the seminars they give in Springfield to give testimonials about the surgery and how it changes your life. Cant wait. Well. better get off here. Have a lot of emails to answer-and all the kids are home and will be up and around soon, so want to get this done and get busy around here. Get my protein and vitamins in and get my day started. Hello Missouri, I'm consumed with jealousy!!! I want to go on a road trip with Janet and Melissa. It sounds like you guys had tooooooo much fun going for Doctor's appointments even!! My girlfriend, Carol, and I do things like that. We terrorize store owners sometimes. I have a request for all of you. When you are in Walgreens check and see if yours have Citracal Chewables in the Lemon Creme. They are like little candies. I love the lemon and now can only find the chocolate, which I can't stand, and the caramel, which replaced the lemon I think. I just want to know if they are available anywhere. My Walgreens no longer has them. Yesterday I got my oil changed for my trip to St. Louis next week. Adam's surgery was moved by Shriners from Tuesday to Wednesday so I'll be going over there on Tuesday afternoon instead of Monday. Then I went to the tanning bed and then ran errands. I just want to get everything done in one evening. I have to come up to Springfield on Saturday to drop off a pair of jeans to get a new zipper put in and get a pedicure. I'm treating myself!!! Since I've agreed to be the master of ceremonies at my all high school reunion I'm now obsessing about what to wear. I want a new dress that is special, not evening dress, it's not that kind of reunion, but that looks sort of daytime dressy. But, because my size is changing drastically I can't buy anything until the end of April, the reunion is May 12th. I have been checking Penney's catalog and Coldwater Creek catalog so I can get an idea of what I'd like. DH says he'll help me find something and I know he will give good advice but he is waaaaay more conservative than I am so it may be fun! I'm at work so I need to get moving on my real job. Good morning Jan and board...any body that steals dogs will do about anything, sorry Jan about your dog... the bars I ordered were Lemon, peanut butter ones. Melissa you and Janet would be a blast to be around, so glad we can all get tog. this summer, have we planed a weekend yet? I am so excited... Lana you will be a knock out at the reunion I just know..so enjoy and have fun. I talked to Dena yesterday,to ask her if she had any ideas why my losing was so slow, I told her what I was eating and doing she said I was eating right, that sometimes our bodies just dont want to turn loose the fat but that I was doing ok to just hang in there I just lost 9 pds this last mo. I went to my reg. doctor yesterday for my B shot and they weigh me...and was 9 pds since the 13th of feb. hey I am losing and I am happy about that. ...God bless everyone...vesta

HOWDY GUYS & GALS.......... How's everyone doing? Things are going pretty good around my place. At least no one is sick at the moment. Hubby's starting to do fairly good with his new false teeth. Was kinda funny at first to watch him with them lol lol...But I'm so happy for him that he finally got to get them. His teeth were terrible and he seemed to keep an abcess. I thought I was going to get fantastic news this week.....My second daughter thought she might be pregnant. But turned out to be a false alarm. I was at the bathroom door yelling...why is taking you so long to peee......have you pee'ed yet!! What does it say???!!!! The paper says it only takes one minit and you been in there 5!!!! Then she opened the door and told us that there was only one line. I made her give it to me so I could see for myself lol lol....Darn it!!!!!!!!!! I like being a Nanna.....I wanted to do it again!!!!!! But that's ok they are young, we still have plenty of time.....they are both only 19....NO rush......Ill be satisfied with my lil princess I have for now..... Jan & Mel...........SOOOOO glad you two had such a good time.....Nothing like a girls time out!!!!! Would love to have a video of it!!!! lol lol lol.....Sounds like you found some good bargins while you were running around too....Mel you go girl...seems like no matter what it has to do with someone is always getting things messed up...the price of your room should have been on the computer!!!!! Did yall ask for the medical rate....Sherr told me about doing that when I have to stay over up there? I don't remember exactly how much it saved her but I think she got her room for like $45 a night using that.
