Hey gang, what can us RNY patients take for sinuses/sniffles? I've been fighting them for a couple of days and am going on a trip next Wenesday and getting on an airplane and want to be over this prior to leaving. Prior to RNY, I always had luck with Contact, but am not sure that I can handle the capsule. Any suggestions? Thanks. Scott

Hi Scott, I take generic Claritin. It is OTC and works great. It is called lorantadine and can be bought for a couple of dollars anywhere. It is for allergies and mine are really starting to act up now with the budding of the trees and things trying to bloom. Julia

yeah i take clariten daily or the generic for prevention but if i quit taking it in the winter and spring sneaks up on me and i get allergies going i take sudafed to knock it out before it gets too bad and then start in on my clariten. Jan
