BRAVO Mo board friends!!!!
I just have to say that I'm so grateful to have a place like this to come to!
I read Kate's post about being depressed and all the heartfelt responses and honesty that flowed from you all and it made me cry! I've been through this too!
If some of you haven't heard this before, hormones are stored in our FAT and as we lose more and more of it, at times we feel like we are going crazy-just out of control emotionally and this is normal for us to do this although we can feel helpless in the process.
I got an email from a friend about a 90 minute movie called "the Secret" done by an Australian guy, here's a link to learn about it...http://www.drewpictures.com/
and it's all about how we create our own experiences by our outlook at thoughts and attitude. I beleive in PRAYER big time AND in the power of our own thoughts. I see it in my own life everyday...negative thoughts attract negative experiences......it's just how it works. If I can get myself out of MY OWN FUNK then it changes how pthers react to me and therefore changes my experiences. Just htought I'd share this with you cause it helps ME to remind myself of this now and then and to take inventory in my own life and tek responsbility for what is goign on.
Have a great day freinds!!!
Tami,
You are so right on!!! If we can be positive we draw positive people to us. I know when my first husband left me I did major work on myself mentally and then when I was ready to meet someone the "new" me attracted an altogether different type of man. It was amazing and proof that when we change ourselves we can change things around us. I, too, believe in prayer. I prayed for a man who would be good to me and God sent one, but we have to do some work too. Thanks for the reminder.
Lana
I know several people experiencing that same thing now Lana. It's such a journey to go on I'm sure. Especially if it comes AFTER WLS and all the changes that brings on top of trying to be in a new relationship.....it's got to be rough.
This whole "attitude" is so much easier said than done some days.....I was just talking with a co-worker about this today. It's easy to fall into the "negative" attitude when those aroudn you seem obsessed with it. I work in an office full of women.....I get so tired of the gossip, etc.....makes it hard to stay positive and then I get the questions: "why are you defending so and so??" I'm not defending just trying to give the benefit of the doubt, looking on the bright side if there can be one, etc.......I think for me personally, that's how I manage to "leave work at work" most of the time when others can't. We have workers that call each other at home to discuss gossip. I've got more positive ways to spend my time, thank you! : )
I Thanks for your reply Lana! LOVE THE NEW PIC, IF I HAVE NOT SAID SO YET!!!!
awwwww thanks Julia!!! I'm not on to support as much as I wished I could be but I am when I can. just reading others posts and all the responses can give those reading the HELP they need even without reaching out themselves too. I know alot of folks do read and GAIN from this board even when we don't see them!
YES, LURKERS THAT'S YOU!!!!! : )
((((((Hugs)))))) back to you Julia!!
