Just a reminder of our upcoming meeting on March 26th, 2007 at 7:00p.m. Where???? at 4001 N>E>Lakewood Way- The Baptist Mission Center@291 South and Woods Chapel Road. The zip code is 64064. If you need to look up the location the zip will help you. We were not sure if it is blue springs or Lee summit. Anyway our name is Kansas City Metro Support Group. We are hoping a lot more people will come out to it this month. I am posting early as I will be out of town for a week. But dont worry I can post from Houston also. Our group is non-hospital, non physician based and we invite all interested people in coming, and that includes pre-0p, post-op and persons beginning their journey. We also invite your significant others to attend and anyone you know who is interested. We started this group as there was no group in this area. Please come and help us make it a success. Any questions please email me or Tony. Colette

Hi, Collette: I live about 40 minutes out but am seriously considering attending this new support group. There is one only 5 minutes from my house, however, it's on Thursday nights and that is our Bible Study night. The only bad thing about Monday night is that it's Scout Night and my husband wouldn't be able to attend with me most of the time. It would great to get to meet some of these great people on the Missouri Board. I've marked it on my calendar and will try to attend. My recent post op. My surgery was March 5th. Have by "good days" and my not so good days. Surely by the 26th I will be up and around more. I go see Dr. Hornbostel for my 1 week check up on Tuesday 3/13. I'm looking forward to the next stage of the diet. I actually had 2 tablespoons (not at the same time) of lowfat cottage cheese last night. I chewed it really well and it all went down and tasted so good. Just had to have something other than broth, sf jello and sf popsicles. I hope I'm not in too big of trouble with Dr. H on this one. The cottage cheese felt like it coated and soothed my new pouch. I think the antibotics I'm on upset my pouch (had 102 temp the night I came home) so I think I needed a little bit more than broth. Was going to call him but decided I didn't want to bother him during the weekened. Would you mind posting a reminder about the support meeting the Saturday or Sunday before the date? How many people are you expecting? Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I miss not being at church but wasn't sure if I could sit in the chairs for an hour and a half today. Hope to be able to attend next week. The Lord has been so good to me and my family. Debbie D.
