Hey guys Just got back from Columbia at 7:00 pm tonight. I have to say I am tired and didn't hear exactly what I wanted to hear Dr. Scott did say that I need surgery BUT there are still more tests that need to be run I thought I had already jumped through the ALL the hoops. Now I need to see a pshychologist (and the pshychiatrist) I already knew I had to see the Dr. but the psychologist I could've done without. I am just so ready to get on a healthier road. I want on that losers bench!!! I also have to see the GI doctor. I know, I know, my head is saying this is good you wouldn't want a dr. that would just go in and do the surgery BUT my heart is saying I am just so tired of waiting I also hear myself saying "get over it you didn't get turned down you just got told hold please" but my GOSH I am so ready for this!!! So of course the minute I got in the car I was on the phone trying to get these appts set up and I didn't get a hold of anyone. I know what everyones saying good things come to those who wait!! I am just having problems hearing that right now. I know what I am supposed to be saying to myself and I know I need to be patient but I was just hoping for more you know. I sat in the waiting room today with so many losers I think I got loser-itis. I went into that Dr's office expecting to hear yaaaaaay all your test have been done it won't be long!! Instead it was more testing please Sorry didn't want to bring everyone down I am just glad there are people to talk to in here. Thanks for listening and please pray for me to have more patience with this I need all the prayer can get!!! Thanks Eeryone Michelle

Michelle, That is what we are here for. I know how you feel. But I did have all my testing done and I still had to wait 3 months after my consult. But all the Dr's have their own ways. I won't be long. Just relax, take a deep breath and give yourself a pat on the back for all you have accomplished so far. Before you know it you will be counting down days not weeks or months. julia

Hi Michelle, Ah, the hoop-jumping club. This is where we spend our time and thoughts until we get to the big day. I'm right where you are too, gettting all the tests completed. It's a patience thing, maybe it will make us calmer? Don't get discouraged, concentrate on the task at hand, we'll both get to the loser's bench someday.

Michelle, Julia and Jane. I recently have been where you all are now! I had to wait for a good long time! My patience wore out more than a few times! The worst was when all my hoops were jumped but there was a stall for some reason between the hospital and medicare....don't worry about that though! They got that out of their system when I was the one to have the wls! I will pray for each of you but I will not pray for patience! I learned that the hard way and won't make that mistake again! If you pray for patience the Good Lord might allow that to happen in a different way then what you are wanting, like having to wait EVEN LONGER! I will pray that the Good Lord put your minds at ease, your bodys at rest and to give you a peace in your hearts, courage to carry on, strength and endurance for the long road ahead and may your spirits be cleansed of all the worldly demands that tug at your souls right now! Trust in the Lord, have patience in Him and keep your faith strong! Your day is coming and it will be here bfore you know it!! I know this!! In His Presence, Deb M

I see him and he is great. I think his info is listed from Toni. Hang in there. I had my surgery done at Truman and it took almost a year from the time I had my first appt with the surgeon. They just have to cover all of their bases. Hopefully, it goes much quicker for you! Come to our support group in Blue Springs. It will be very helpful Janet 368/269/199 Band post op 2004
