My goodness wasn't Saturday a mess? It was so cold and windy and at one time it was snowing so hard, big ole flakes of snow and the sun was shining. Can you believe that? Its true. Weird weather huh? Makes me wonder, as a Christian I really wonder sometimes. Don't mean to sound like a dooms day sayer or anything but just wonder what is going on. I transplanted 6 big tomatoe plants into gallon containers yesterday. They already have blooms and small tomatoes on them. By the time may 1st gets here no telling how big they will be. I have 6 more to transplant tomorrow. Not sure what these tomato plants are. They came up by themselves. The pinapple tomatoes need to be transplanted into larger pots too. Don't really know where I am going to put all of them lol. Spent the day going thru dresser drawers. I now have 2 drawers of mine that are completely empty. I think I am going to have to go shopping for some new undies. Lol not much is left in those drawers. Melissa: yeah it has been a long long time that you got to be first . Hi! I hope you rent your house soon but don't rush in and rent to someone too soon. It is hard to judge people by the way they act anymore , seems everyone is always on camera . Oh my gosh that is a lot of tulips. I don't think they will bloom this year will they? Sort of late to be planting them but im sure they will bloom next year, and be beautiful. Julia: lol our idea of camping is maybe only get local channels lol? Yeah when you have arthritis and fibromyalgia. The idea of sleeping in a sleeping bag on the ground doesn't have much appeal does it? Hope your grand daughters show went over well. Janet: Tell your daughter congradulations on getting a job. That is really neat. That is neat on the size of jeans you are able to get into. Wonderful. Just hang in there baby it only gets better and better. Yeah the summer of 07 will be great with our get to gether. Andrew: wow we all thought you took off for Belize or somewhere like that. Sorry about your internet being down for a few days. Like Well did you get thru the post from the last few days. How are the lessons going? Are they hard? Are they expensive? Vesta: hey girl you just come on up to see my flowers anytime you want to. Lot of things will be blooming in may and June. You need to get Brenda to come to the meetings with you too. She will need a support team too. What kind of swim classes are you taking. Swimming or water aerobics? Yeah I don't think I could afford the protein per the vials that would cost a fortune. Just keep on working on the protein powder once in a while , your taste will change . That might be a good idea to go south till it gets warm lol Might have to go quite a ways to get out of this crazy weather tho. My sister lives close to Houston and they have had bad weather there too some. Lana: wow I love your new wig. I need to take you with me to my beauty shop with that wig on and tell them , this is how I want my hair done. Maybe send me a picture of you , wonder if I can hijack a picture of you off of your profile? I love that new color on you too. Makes you look so very young. That is interesting what they are going to do to your grandson to help him. It is amazing what they can do nowdays isn't it. Wow I didn't know that about Norstroms how decent of them. Well it has been a pretty boreing day around here today. Like I said I did some cleaning and clearning out. Probably will continue to do more of that tomorrow. We had an older couch in the guest house that we took over to the resale shop and also 4 big boxes of odds and ends for them . Tomorrow I think I will work on my desk area. I cant keep the clutter out of here. I think I need to apply for my pilots lic. I pile it here and pile it there. Lol No for the most part my house stays pretty clean but my computer cabinet is a mess. I buy storage continers and I fill them up and then the next thing I know I have more stuff . Hope Sunday is a nicer day than Saturday was, would be nice to be able to walk outside some wouldn't it? LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Hello Missouri Friends - I haven't had much chance to post for a while, but thought I would be first to respond to Jan's Sunday update. Spent all day on Saturday in Warrensburg watch high school basketball. I'm on the school board in our school district and we have two high schools. The boys team from one high school is ranked number one and won their game today and will advance to the state final four in Columbia next Friday and Saturday. Our other high school has a really good girls team, 25-1 up until today. They got beat by Liberty High School and ended a great season on a disappointing note. Hope everyone has a great Sunday. Keep on losing. I'm down 147 pounds total since before my surgery. Stepped on the scale on Tuesday of this week and was below 280 for the first time since probably high school. My goal is 240-250 and I think I'll be able to do it after the weather warms up and I can get out and walk more and play some golf. Have a great Sunday. God Bless. Scott

Dear Jan and OH Peeps~ I beat Melissa, I beat Melissa (LOL...) actually, how I envy her cause she is probably SLEEPING at 3:30 in the morning. I cant. The meds are making me CRAZEE (zip it, dont want to hear those comments!! LOL) and I just cannot sleep...dang! Ok so Saturday-HOLY COW was it COLD...that wind-could cut you like a knife...my 16 yr old daughter and I went to the sale...was gonna meet mel and terry there, but it didnt work out-so her and I went and I found some wonderful bargains on really cool clothes for my 4 yr old and then some other stuff for the other kids and my mom. Then I took her to Panera for a bagel...I had 2 bites of one side and it was so good... we also went to Name Brand Clothing as she needed black pants or khakis for work. Got her a pr of khakis for $9 and they are sooo cute- cant wait till I can wear them this summer-LOL....I also found and eventually bought a shirt exactly like the one Mel wore to the COF meeting...I couldnt believe how different I looked with clothes that werent hiding everything and werent 12 sizes too big...It also felt good not to have to wear all the biggest clothes they had-or settle for a tiny selection because of my size. I had to put SO many things back that were too big-man that was so nice..I bet I tried on 20 shirts and only had the heart to buy one....too many bills etc right now. Will go later when I am not losing as fast. Then...(yes there is more) we went to Catherines, then to Academy to exchange some socks I bought for 4 yr old son and I accidentally picked up womens youth and they are too big for him...then it was off to Wal Mart for our groceries and staples....then I stopped at the gas station and went to the feed store and bought our cattle-I mean dogs their dog food-100# worth, better last for a day or two...LOL..I got them each a pig ear too-but the big dog decided he wanted both, so he attacked the baby dog and so I chased big dog through the pen area and took his pig ear away.....that will teach him to be mean to the baby! and greedy...geez. So, I did about 4 hours of running and it felt good to walk, walk, walk-but my back started to hurt as bad as before-so no such luck on the healing I thought I had on Friday!!! Ok-so we get home, and I go to show hubby the shirt-and it was like putting on a tube top-couldnt hardly pull it down across the chest-I was like, now, I know I didnt gain that much weight in 2 hrs-we had picked up the wrong size (daughter did)....sooooo-back to joplin AGAIN to exchange it for the right one before someone else got it...then I get home-daughter goes to work (oldest picked her up) and my hubby asked if I wanted to go to town with him and the boys..well, I havent had much time with them this past 2 weeks, so I did. When we got home, I thought I still had to pick steph up at midnite-cause she was going to the Bridge after work with her friends, as it turned out, my mom went and got her-and when I found out I didnt have to-I went and got on the flannels and nightgown and laid on the couch to watch Trading Spaces and fell asleep before it even came on...my future SIL called and woke me up right before the reveal, so that was good-got to see it anyhow-LOL. I also saw where I missed some calls-but phone was on charger forever cause it was totally dead-soooo-will have calls to make in the morning. Tammy-I am so happy about your official approval from Dr. office...We are official now, girl! Hope the grandbaby is better and that your trip to Texas is safe and uneventful... Lana-The new-do, it LOOKS WONDERFUL...you look so beautiful-you were before, dont get me wrong-but Jan is right-you look younger and so zestful!! I want my hair to look like that!! I love the color and how flattering it is!! Way to go-cant wait to see you at the meeting this month...so did the hubby chase you around? LOL Mel-STAY AWAY FROM THE OLD HOUSE TODAY...REST...DO NOT GO THERE...I am worried your gonna crack if you keep going over there and finding something else to paint-every time you say your done-you go over and do something else-BACK AWAY FROM THE PAINT...I think the fumes are starting to get to you...I am gonna kidnap you and take you away, haha, heeeheee....Wish my back werent giving me fits or I would be over inhaling fumes with you! Sherr-how are your parents? pets? son? this is the longest I have gone without tt you. I hope everything is ok, miss tt you and thinking about you and everyone there. Hope all is well. Andrew, so glad to see you again..glad you didnt miss any deadlines and hope you dont have any more problems~Hows your BIL? Hope and pray he is well. I know we have some surgeries tomorrow and some more coming up-we are praying for you-take care and I hope we have nicer weather so we can go outside. Sick of the COLD...YUCK... Jan-the tulips Mel dug out, they were already coming up themselves-they are pretty big-so I hope they will bloom this year-do you think they will? They were up a couple of inches at least. That would be great. If the weather is nice tomorrow-I am going to put them in! Ok-for all those who have asked for prayers, you got it. I hope everyone is healthy and happy and I will tt you later. Love, Janet

Good Morning this sunny Sunday, A quick hello before I get ready for church. Cant wait for the warm weather. We are going to go to Texas again next week to see the kids again. We have a daughter and son living there. We will leave on the 15th. Have to wait for our son to get back from the Bahamas( a trip he won with his company) We were going to go on the 8th, but he would not be there, so we are waiting till he comes back. Looking forward to getting away for a while. Not much going on here except the ususal, every day routine. The scale is staying the same, but I have not been exercising for about 7 days because of my back hurting from falling last week. It is just so stiff when I get up and when I get tired. Yesterday I worked all day cleaning the house, and when I sat down, then I started to hurt. Everyone, have a great day. Dont fortet the KC metro support group on March 26th. I am coming back from Texas just to be there. Colette

Good morning Jan and board. Thats what I need my pilots lic. cause I do the same thing, Jan I will come down when your flowers are blooming. Brendas work keeps her from doing anything, but she will just have to take off sometime to attend a few meetings. The swimming is water aerobics, they really give you a good workout. I think that might be my problem not enough exercise, hope this beautiful Lords day finds everyone ok.....Vesta

Good Morning Everyone: I thought I would pop in and drop a few lines before I got ready for church this morning. My body is protesting me right now I hurt from the top of my shoulders to the back of my calf's. Poor DH didnt hardly get any sleep because I was flopping around like a fish out of water. And I dont ususally do that. But today is a new day and I refuse to let the Devil get me down. I just may move slower today. ha ha ha We showed the house yesterday to 2 sets of people. I didnt get to meet one of them cause I was visiting with the other ones at their work then they folowed me over to the house to see it. I kind of liked them but they couldnt love in until April and I am praying that my house doesnt have to stay empty until then. But I am trying not to freak out and leave it in the Lord's hands. After church were showing it to a couple that called on Friday. The young man called about 3 times last night wanting to ask questions. Thats the most responce we've had from someone so far. Then were coming back home I am going to cook an actual meal and veggitate for the rest of the day. I came home last night and went thro my closet and rearranged it so I can now actually find me clothes. Ate left overs and made some homemade guacomolie (sp) Mmmm it was pretty good needs to get cold tho. Checked mail and started to watch a tv program and fell alseep. Getting ready to hit the showers. drink my wayter and take my pills. Tummy doesnt like me this morning it is angry with me for some unknown reason. I am looking forward to this afternoon of not doing anything. I hope and pray you all have a great day. Stay warm it is really cold out there this morning. Bbbrrrrr I will be glad when spring gets here!!!! God Bless Melissa

Howdy Everyone! Glad to hear everyone's doing ok! I'm so jealous of all of you that are getting to get new clothes..............No just kidding!!!...But I will be glad when I can post the same kind of news. As Janet menitoned in her post, my grand daughter is in the hospital. We thought it was her asthma. But it turns out it's not. They found a shadow on one of her lungs and her white blood count is up really high, so, they are going to do a test to check her for Cystic Fibrosis. So please pray for her. Her name is Christa and she is almost 2 1/2. The thought that we could loose her breaks my heart into peices. I know it would be horrible for anyone, but she is our mirical baby, we almot didn't get her. We almost lost her mother when she was 16 to an absesed kidney. Then she was diagnosed with cerviacal cancer at age 17. The removed a section of her cervix and 1 month after we found out she was pretty well safe from that we found out she has endometreosis! we fought that till they were about at no choice but to do a hystorectomy on her at age 18. Then one night we went to the ER because she thougth she had the flu really bad. The doctor rulled out the flu but informed us she was she was pregnant!!!!!!!! Everyone standing there almost fainted!!!!! Even her ob/gyn jumped up and down and shouted when we told her. She was having a hard time with the fact she didn't really have any more options other than do the hystorectomy on my daughter at such a young age. Our little princess was born nice and health and only two weeks early. My daughter had her hystorectomy when Christa was 2 mo old. Sooooooooooooo, if anything was to happen we wouldn't only be loosing our lil princess......There will definitly be no more. I know people that have lost learn in time to go on with there lives but...........Well JUST PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We do get some excitement this week though.........Joe and I are leaving late tonight to go to Texas to get his youngest daughter. Because of her mother we have not go to see her in almost 5 years. But now she is 17 and wants to come live with us. We done some checking around and found out it's leagal for her to choose to do so. WE are sooooo excited. We have had pictures here and there but I know that after 5 long years she has changed sooo much. So please pray we have a safe trip there and back and that she will adapt to her new life easily. Before I close I wanted to mention that I tried a tip that I got from someone on the board on how to flavor my protien drink. I use a vanilla one I get at wal mart. It's not bad but after drinking so many it gets kinda boring lol lol....So they mentioned trying sf instand pudding. I got banana cream, chocolate and pistachio......MMMMMMM do they make a big difference. It's almost like drinking runny pudding lol lol....but that's ok with me, I'm just glad to find a new way to drink my drinks. I have only been at for about 2 weeks now and I know I still have several months to go! Well I wanted to respond to other posts but I have taken up so much room talking about me and mine that I guess I will wait till next time. I wish each of you the best and congrats on all the pounds being lost and the new clothes being bought!!!!!!
