WHATS HAPPENING.....POSTED EARLY SO I CAN GO TO BED

All my tulips are up above the ground about an inch, the daffodils are about ready to open, the forsythia bush has buds and so does the lilacs and bridal wreath. Every time I go outside it seems like I see new promises of spring. I know it will happen it always does but seems like it is taking a long time this year? Joe is feeling better, still had a stuffy head at times seems like it isn't wanting to really go away. May need to change medications, seems like when you have a bad case of sinus problems that the meds that you take quit working after awhile and if you change them it works better. May just have run its course and was ready to be well anyway lol. I have been taking my Claritin daily to keep from getting all that pollen in my system. If you are allergic to things now is the time to start taking your allergies meds now to keep from getting stuff. Most people think it is a spring cold , it isn't it is spring time allergies from all the fresh pollen in the air at this time of year. Cedar, maple, ash these really get your head stopped up and then it goes into the lungs and you really have a mess on your hands. I sure would like to take a trip about now and when I come back the weather would be better but I guess we cant I have too many seedlings in the green house that need to be watered most every day. Lol they are as bad as having a house of kids lol Ok all of you that read and never post and all that do we are going to try and have a Missouri get together for a week end this summer some time. Would you be interested? Would you come? It will be somewhere that is centrally located, will have cabins, rv sites and tent sites too. So however you like to camp, I prefer a good bed anymore lol with a roof over my head but use to love to camp in a tent. Anyway we will be posting something in a few days so keep your eyes open about the details. We will be open to any and all suggestions of things to do. It will be somewhere that we can fish and swim.Will have all the details soon. Debbie M: oh my goodness, ive never had a gun pulled on me so can only imagine how terrifying that would be. A friend of mine in Houston was at a gas station once and a guy shot her right in the head and stole her car. Luckly she survived and with no real damage. Can you imagine?!! I emailed Andrew yesterday and still have heard nothing from him? Don't know what is going on with them. Hope they are all right. I assumed that his new studies are taking a lot of his time. Lets hope that is it anyway. Debbie S: Hope you aren't over doing it on the work bit. Where do you work at Debbie? So is the place healing over your site? That is bad that it split over some. How did your son like the birthday party? How old is he? Vesta: no you didn't go thru this for nothing. I remember thinking the same thing several times during my last 6 months. But it is coming off it just does it a little slower since we are older. Our metabolism isn't nearly as fast as the younger kids. So we have to do a little more exercise and pu**** a little more. Are you getting in 90 grams of protein a day already? And at least 65 oz of water.? It has just been in the last month that I have been able to do that.I am able to get about 90 of water in now in a days time. I think all of tht plus the water aerobics and the other exercises I am doing is starting to help some. Lana: I am so glad the prednisone is helping your arthritis. What is wrong with your grandson's leg now? Im sure you told me but I have forgotten. Wont a week end thing be great? It is just in the talking stage right now and im already excited. Lol I bet your daughter will be glad to have all of your nice clothes. I bought some cauliflower yesterday and am going to try the wig burning recipe probably tomorrow. Lol. Janet:That is good that your daughter wants to work. So many of the kids now days don't seem to want to work or do anything for themselves but then when I see good kids it makes it really special. About your back maybe they need to do some x rays , Mri and things like that to see what is going on there. Those sound a lot more logical than a biopsy don't it? Seems like the majority that post are s.w. mo. But there are several that are in the northern part of the state. Like Craig, Colette, Barbara T: im sure there are more of them but those are a few I can think of right now. Debbie M is northern, Tony, many more. The Treehouse sounds really neat. Hope you find out what size you are. But you know that jeans you usually have to buy a size larger than you do in other clothes or at least that is what I have found to be true . Oh Janet I thought I had put the flannel p.js and shirt in with those clothes and just found them today when I was putting things away. So I will bring them and some tank tops for summer with me to the meeting this month. Sherr: so glad you posted but is sad that your head is still hurting. Maybe you need to go to the doctor about it ok? Im so glad your sweet little fur baby seems to be handling everything ok. It is hard to watch someone be sick and not be able to do anything about it tho doesn't it. Give him some extra loving and a couple of hugs from us. Melissa: glad you are back home safe and sound . Im sure your parents already love the doggie you took them. Did he have a name? I know what you mean about the independence and freedom of being able to drive yourself. Is neat to be able to go places now isn't it. That is neat that you can wear your moms clothes . Pretty awesome. Rachael: will pray that you get the promotion that you are wanting. Good Morning Everyone: Doing Janet's baby happy dance. I cant believe that I get to be first to post to Jan's What's Happenings. Now that hasnt happened in a long time. LOL I thought I would pop on and check mail and see if anyones posted and SURPRISE Jan was an early bird this evening. Had several phone call about the house but nothing that looks promiseing. But Lord willing we will get someone in there and soon. Were going to go back over there again in the afternoon. Going to hit a few garage sale in the morning first. Maybe brib DH to buy me a bagel at Penera. Mmmmmmm Then were going to hang out at the house and maybe paint a little more. DH found 2 gallons of paint so were going around and doing some touch up paint. Jan: I know what you mean about tulips. I dug up some in the front part of my house. So I can plant them at my F-I-L's house. I gave 2 Wal Mart bags to Janet along with her tomatoes. Bless her heart she gave me 1 of her tomatoe plant. I have it in my bedroom window where it will get lots of sunshine. Plus I have 2 1/2 Wal Mart bags of tulpis myself to replant. Yes, I know I was suppose to take it easy today well that went out there window. lol Janet: Thank you for shareing your tomatoe plants with me. And gurl you looked so darm good in those jeans!!!!! EVERYONE Janet came by my house wearing regular Jeans!!!!!!! Way 2 Go Gurl!!!!!!!! Okay time to get something to drink and head for bed. I pray you all have a great weekend and stay warm. Hi Jan and all, I am really looking forward to a weekend get together. I don't care where it is I will keep Gretta updated. I know she wants to start traveling with me to some support meetings when the weather and school lets up. I personally am like you Jan, I prefer a roof over my head, a bed and a bathroom!! I do like to camp but am so achy and sore from my muscle disease, I just prefer a comfortable place. I am willing to share if we find cabins. I enjoyed the sun today, but from inside. It was cold and windy. But I did get my laundry done and apt. half way cleaned. Went with my DD to a birthday party tonite and then out for pizza with the kids. I have to be on the road at 5:30 in am for my DGD music contest. She is in show choir and we have to be in Columbia for them to perform at 7:30am. I really enjoy listening and watching all the kids sing and dance. They are fantastic.Then they told me they are having softball practice now so those games will start soon. Marilyn how are you? Hello Jan and OH Peeps~ Well, Friday went good. Busy, but it had been a couple of days since I was around and about-so it was nice. A little chilly (the wind) but nice sunshine on and off. The kids had 1/2 day of school, so when they got home, we went to my moms and she and I walked to the treehouse to try on jeans....Will get to that in a minute!! (suspense)...dun~dun~duunnnn~ I then took my daughter to the job interview and SHE GOT THE JOB...I am so happy for her!! She starts today! I will be so glad when she has a little of her own spending money and independence. She doesnt know it yet-but we are going to take her next week or the week after for her permit so in 6 months she can drive her own car and maybe by then she will have saved her half of the money to buy it...I paid some bills and then came home..the walk with my mom felt so good, and although my back started to hurt, it didnt hurt as bad as it has this week-maybe the shots are FINALLY working, which he said could take 3 days-which would have been Friday...YEAH...I would love that to be the case. Havent been able to really eat this week, been doing mostly protein shakes and balls-but no real food to speak of-making me sick. I went to mels old place and got some tulips-2 bags worth- YEAH...cant wait to plant them! and my tomato plants-gave her one since she didnt have any and I had 3...now watch-mrs. green thumb will have 10 times the amount of tomatos I do-I am just bound and determined to get a green thumb this year if it kills me. Well, I am gonna get up early and go to the sale with Mel and Terry and then I am going to hang out with my oldest daughter some...Miss her a bunch. They came over for dinner Weds night and I wanted her to move back home-LOL....I sure miss her so much. Oh-before I close-I started this journey wearing a 5-6x, and in pants 36/38 and mostly stretch or elastic waist-well, at the treehouse-I bought a pair of Lee Riders in a sz 26...I know that is still big to some of you that started out wearing that or smaller-but I am so happy...I zipped them up and I swear I got misty eyed. I then looked in the mirror and its amazing how clothes that fit you correctly show the progress you have made!!! I love the treehouse cause they are so low priced on everything-the jeans were only 10.00.....only got one pr though, will get more later when I lose more. I just didnt have one thing that fit me correctly here. Well, I am gonna close-have to get up early and do all kinds of running tomorrow. I cant wait for a weekend get together this summer. Its gonna be so much fun to have our OH MO Board Family Reunion... Before I forget-please say prayers for Tammy H's grand daughter (baby) she is in the hospital with real bad ashtma problems...keep that family lifted in prayer please. Thanks. Heya ya'll Sowwies its been dayz, Im here tho!! We lost our cable connection a few days ago and didnt get it back til thursday night so I spent all friday getting caught up on my classes, thank the Lord I didnt miss any due dates for assignments but had a couple excersises due, that took me most of friday to get through, yikes!!! Things here are pretty good, right now tho it is snowing like craazzzzzzyyyyyy, i can hardly see the field across the street its snowing so hard. I doubt it will last long tho, its not sticking to the road but sure is covering everything else good. Jan count Susan and I in on the get together, as long as she knows a couple weeks ahead of time she can put in for a day or two off. Aight I gotta get caught up on past posts, I'll post more in a lil while after I've caught up. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! Andrew

My daughter that is going to have the RNY is Brenda, Linda is the one that comes to the meeting with me..she just loves all you guys, she looks forward to the meetings, she likes to know I am doing what I am suppose to do..lol.. Jan do you think we could get Joe and Virgil to go south with us till warm weather...lol I am sore this morning from my swim classes yesterday, maybe I am needing that. I am trying to get all my protein in with the vials of protein it is easier, but they are so expensive...love ya all ...vesta

Hello Missouri, Wow, it is sooooo cold. DH and I were going to a farm/home auction this AM but after listening to the cold wind blow all night I called it off. Went to Spgfld and shopped a little bit and am tucked up in the house for the day. I changed my picture this AM on the profile. Also did my weekly weigh-in today and have lost another two pounds. That makes 57 since last May. I'm excited. I really would like for us to have a weekend reunion. I sure would come, only time I'm not available is the weekends on each side of 4th of July. We're going on vacation then. Anywhere is fine with me. We can car-pool, I have an SUV that will hold three other folks and lots of luggage. I cannot imaging swimming - haven't had a suit on for over 11 years. And, I haven't been skinny-dipping during that time either!!!! Didn't want you to get that image in your heads. I'm going to try to post some pictures of my progress on my profile this weekend. I'm not really good at that stuff, but I'll try. Hope you like the new wig. It's different but DH really likes it. He likes the darker colored one. Thinks he's got him a new young babe!!! Jan, my grandson was born with a club foot and a malformed leg. He has had two prior surgeries to straighten the foot and now the leg is shorter than his other leg by about an inch. He is going to Shriners in St. Louis and they will restrict the growth plate in his good (longer) leg until the short leg catches up and then remove the staples and hopefully they will end up the same length when he finishes growing. I love Shriners, he's had such good care there all his life and they never ask for a penny from DD. Also, info everyone should know. DGS had two different sized feet by about 2-3 sizes. We were always buying two pairs of shoes for him and he never got to have really cool shoes. A friend told me that Nordstrom will sell you a mis-matched pair for the cost of one pair and it is true. They give him the two sizes he needs, don't make him feel like a freak and he can have COOL shoes for about the same cost as two pairs of shoes from Payless. It's a wonderful thing they do!!! Go Nordstrom!!!! I'm going to try to make meatballs or meatloaf tonight. Don't know if I'll be able to eat any but DH will love it. Looking forward to a summer reunion and loving and hugging all of you, Lana

Jan, It would be so neat to attend a weekend and meet all of you. It is even neater that most of you are in the same area and can go to the same meetings. Just keep me posted on where and when and we will try to be there, contingent upon my 92 yr. old dad. Can't leave him alone unless I can get the neighbors to check in on him.
