WHATS HAPPENING

March 1st. Spring will soon be here. I cant wait. We didn't do a lot today. Went to water aerobics and back home. Cleaned house some and then got supper ready and watched American Idol . Pretty boreing day I guess. It got up to almost 71 degrees today but was cloudy most of the day until about 2 or 3 I think and then the sun finally came out. Like I said not a lot of stuff to write about. Lol Janet : wow that is weird. Did your husband go out and see for sure if someone was living out there in the trailer? The cops didn't come out to check it out? That is wrong. Lol I had to laugh about your and Debbies talk about dogs and guns and such. I don't think I want to get on the bad side of either one of you girls lol. Im just glad that evidently it wasn't someone that wanted to hurt any of you all. I wonder just how long he has been there. I really cant believe that the cops wouldn't come out. So you and this other lady(grandma) went out and looked in the camper and all??? I doubt if he will be back if he was just someone that needed a place to sleep for awhile but you never know in this day and time what someone is doing anymore. You never know what someone will do or not do. Just glad that nothing happened. Be sure and keep that dog out for awhile he wont be back. Lol Debbie: wow I don't think I will try waking thu your back property with asking first lol. You sound like a lady that knows how to handle those guns. I use to when I was young my dad taught us all how to shoot but I never pursued it futher. I know the difference between a shotgun and a rifle and that is about it lol the only time I ever had a gun is one time I borrowed one from my dad. I had a peeping tom that kept comeing around my house looking in my windows so I borrowed a big shotgun from my dad and shot out over this guys head and man he picked them up and put them down and I yelled after him and told him that he come back anymore and I would aim lower next time lol. But that was years and years ago , back when my kids were all little. Oh Debbie im not burnt. I just got a little tan . it always is red when I first get in the sun but it never burns. Love the picture of your dog. He is pretty. But he isn't Debbie lol I really like looking at you all pretty faces when you post. Lol Tammy : great that you posted yesterday and the 12 pounds you have lost are great. That is amazing tht you did that on your own. I am amazed that you were able to drive that far to a meeting. You must have a great husband. Oh I forgot his name is Joe . like my husbands name is Joe too. I guess that saying a good ole Joe is correct huh. My husband is like that. Would drive that far for me. The meeting in Fredericktown is march 12 and you can get intouch with Andrew or Brenda on here anytime. They will be tickled that you are going to come see them lol Anytime you have a question post it on the board im sure someone can answer it and be sure and come here daily and tell us what is going on with you. We are interested in your life . Melissa: well tell that hubby of your to quit making you work so hard. Lol glad you all have finally gotten all of the house ready and can settle down now. Loved the joke , I can see that happening to almost any of us lol I bet the doctor got a big laugh out of that one. Lana. I tried your cauliflower receipe tonight but my hair didn't catch on fire. Lol. That stuff was really good. Glad you are getting a handle on your arthritis. Iwish I could find something to do that would help mine. Cant take anything so don't know what to do about it. Seems like you could take arthritis meds if you took something for your stomach at the same time. The Pineapple tomatoes are just yellow tomatoes streaked with red , they are sweeter than the red ones and so so good. I hope they do well for everyone. Julia: so now everyone has to have a scope that Dr. H. does surgery on? Or just people that have had problems before? I guess if they do it at pre opps that wouldn't be much of a problem would it. Im sure that Cathy will enjoy meeting you and hope she gets well fast. Tell her about the support meeting in Fredericktown meeting March 12 so maybe she can go to that. I know you will be able to go to the one in your area the next time. Well im going to post this early , it is just now a little afte 11 pm but I need to get into bed early . I am getting up and leaving the house about 7am in the morning to go spend the day with Sugar. She is having surgery on the 7th and I wanted to spend some time with her before. I am excited about her surgery as I was about mine. Please continue to pray for her and also for her daughter who is going thu some stuff right now. Needs protection. Hi Jan, Yes all of Dr. H. are required to have a scope now. But better safe than sorry. We have had tornado sirens go off twice tonite. It was 70 today then got down to 60. My kids went to their greatgrandmas old cellar for the night,but just called and said they were home. We haven't even had any rain only a little wind. But they are saying in the next hour we will get something. I usually stay at home unless I know it is really bad. I know how the girls are about getting the gun out!!! My family says this big momma is not to be messed with. I target practiced with a friends grandson just last summer. Not a bad job either for the ol lady We were using a 22 rifle. But my family and I agree I don't need a gun availalbe cause I would probally use it. I keep enough big knives around they think twice anyway My philosophy has always been " NO ONE MESSES WITH MINE BUT ME!!" So I usually don't have any problems. I do hope Janet and her family are safe and am glad they have their dogs to protect them also. Just be carefull!! I pick my pre-op packet up tomorrow and am going to check on the apt. situation.I hope to see Cathy then. I have ask Gretta to be my angel. We are only a few miles away and her kids go to school right across the street from me.We are planning a girls nite out for my birthday with Gretta and some friends.I will be 5 weeks out from surgey so we should have a nice time. Jan I would like to have your phone number if that is alright. If Gretta works I will have my family call you. She is a substitue teacher so her schedule varies and she may be called to work. Debbie M. was that last pic of you recent? It was a real nice pic.I do like to see the babies once in awhile tho. I just don't have the energy or ambition right now to even put any pics on my profile. Maybe closer to surgery time. Everyone take care. Good Morning America...oops.........Missouri Just wanted to say THANKS to all that answered my posts yesterday!! It's wonderful to have somewhere to go to ask questions, hear suggestions, get info and to hear first hand about the good as well as the bad that we might need to know about. I've been lurking around for sometime now, but haven't posted much because I'm such a newbie that I don't have alot of info to offer just yet. But it's always great to get on and see what all is going on with all of you that have already become loosers. Jan Cook......Thanks for advertising my 12lbs again!!!! And yes I do have a great hubby....He is always really supportive in any thing that I choose to do. He has been great since I started with all this. He not only helps me remember my protein drinks, alot of times he makes them for me. And each time I try a new drink he takes sip of it too. The other day I tried a protein bar that about made me gag and he still tasted it with me lol lol lol....Luv him but if I had of seen him gag I sure wouldn't have tasted it..lol.....He would go to all my apts with me if it weren't for how he works. The meetings in Fredricktown are on Mondays too and he don't usually have to work on mondays so I figure he will be going to those with me a lot of the time too. My sister is my support person and she went to the seminar with me and my first meeting with Dr.Scott, but part of the time I will have them both with me. I feel blessed to get to have this chance to have the surgery. I feel even more blessed that I have such a great support team. I have two support peopel and two angels. I think Mel is going to tag team with Jan and they are both going to be my angels! And on top of that there are so many caring and supportive people on the board always ready to cheer for you or give advice. Things are going so wonderful for me right now it't almost spooky lol lol.....If I'm dreaming don't anyone dare wake me lol lol lol...... You know I was wondering the other night on the way home from the meeting. Do yall ever have a big meeting sometime during the year where all Missouri people could get together and meet??? It was so great meeting all of you the other night and I won't be able to make it to them all the time but I hope to try a few times a year. If I hadn't wanted to meet Jan & Mel so bad because of them being so supportive and emailing me so much I might not have drove that far and would have not got to meet all of you. It would definitly be a challenge to get things set up for such a big meeting but it would be so cool to meet with all the people on the board some time or another. Hello everyone.... Julia, what a sweet little note you put on your post....to me...thank you Both of my pups are up early w/ me....my NOAA Weather Radio went off at 4:00 and I decided to get up. I don't want to be that goober that gets blown away in a tornado because I went back to sleep. What I wouldn't give for a sweet husband today....so I could send his butt in there to make me a cup of coffee...JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT...LOL....okay, I have married friends, and to be honest....I think I will schlep my butt in there and make my own coffee.....in my own coffee cup, in my own coffee maker, in my own snow white kitchen, with my funky bed head, and not have to deal with all the bad stuff that comes along with a man being around.... Gosh, I am funny....(((in my head anyway))) Each of you are so very special to me....I am a weird bird. I spent so many years totally by myself, I've turned into a recluse, and when I am having a tummultous time, my "COPING MECHANISM" is to be a hermit... Well, the house re-finance is FINALLY over. I will save about $140 a month on my new mortgage !! WOOT WOOT..... That is especially great since I racked up about $4,000 out of pocket for the surgery, that I am trying desperately to get paid off. I am still selling stuff on semo.net, thank god...I LIKE MONEY I have one lady that is the City Administrator of a town close by, she buys a LOT of my brand new stuff, that still has the tags on it. She is a Sag Harbor fan too..... But I have exhausted myself working on selling my stuff, Dylan's Stuff, and Daddy's stuff. I think I am going to sleep all day today.....I have to take mom back to the Ortho Doc tomorrow in Jonesboro, AR...and all my bones are killing me. Some of you may have read how my glass door shot open with the high winds last week, and slammed into my brick house, shattering in my face..... Yeah, I KNOW! It's still not back from the glass man. I guess that is good, because with the way the wind was yesterday, I'd probably just shattered it again anyway.... I will have little glass shards all over for the next 100 years I bet.... Good Morning all... What a night!! Tornadoes!! Sirens!! High Winds!! Mothball sized Hail!! (sounded like someone wa****ting the house with baseballs!) Warnings Everywhere!! Wow!! This morning, the winds still sound pretty wicked still! Jan/Julia...thanks for the comment on the picture but it looked distorted to me, that's why I removed it and put JAKE in my place. I will try to get a new pic up today...I got my hair re-permed yesterday so maybe that will help!!...lol Jan...you'd never think it now but when David and I first met 24 years ago, I wouldn't even allow guns in the house! Over the years, I have watched, listened and learned a lot about them. Now, I own more guns then David! When our boys where old enough to hunt, we all went through the hunter's safety course! My daughter wasn't interested but that's okay...we never forced any of them to hunt! We did teach her how to use a gun and to respect them! I have never had to raise a gun at someone and I pray I never do! These days, you just never know! Some say that people shouldn't own guns because they might pick one up during a fight or argument! I say that people that think like that DON'T need to own one!! David and I have had many arguments over the years and NEVER has that thought ever crossed either of our minds! David does love to tell the tale of the attack mouse and granny getting her gun tho! Years back, I had my office set up just outside my kitchen and every night after everyone but me went to bed, this mouse would come out and start chewing through the ceiling tile just above my desk! I tried everything to get rid of this mouse! One night it started chewing and I grabbed a broomstick and stuck it through the hole, trying to scare it off...the dang thing started chewing on the handle! Okay, this meant war!! I decided that I was going to get my CO2 pistol and shoot it! Several nights went by...no mouse! My pistol was put up during the day but at night when I sat alone at my desk, my pistol was right there, loaded and ready for bear!! (okay, for mouse!) I figured the mouse was gone after a week or two of not hearing anything! One night though, here it came, right to that hole and started chewing! I grabbed my pistol and slowly stood up and moved around my desk! I placed the pistol right up against the ceiling tile where I thought the mouse was! I waited to make sure because I knew I would only get one shot! POP!! I got it...a few flops and it was over!! Finally, some peace and quiet!! About that time David came out of the bedroom, heading for the bathroom. He looked at me with that look of just going from a dark room to one lit up! I told him, he needed to change a ceiling tile! He laughed, shook his head and went on in to the bathroom! Hey, I got the dang thing!! ...lol He laughs about it to this day! He says, laughingly....you've come a long way, baby! Jan...I'm glad your not burnt...I hated that when I was younger! I'm wiser now but in California, I was a sun worshipper....at least I thought I was until I fell asleep in it for 4 hours while on my belly! My legs and back where so burnt the skin drew up and I had to walk on my tip toes to get anywhere! Can we say OUCH!! David is like you Jan, never burns, just tans..................except now! He has to wear a hat cause his little bald spot does burn!...lol Well, I'm gonna close for now! I already lost one post this morning...ughhhhhh!! Good morning ! I haven't been posting much since I got home from surgery but I am on here a couple times a day. There's not a lot to say at the liquid stage. Today however,I go to soft foods for 2 weeks . Liquids weren't hard but I am ready for some variety and to chew ! Tomorrow is my 2 week (plus 2 days) check up. I am anxious to see my weight loss. I haven't bought a scale . I didn't want to focus on the #'s .My clothes a looser and I can finally see my stomache getting a bit smaller. It was very swollen after surgery so it was hard to see anyhting but it. I went thru the "I'm not losing any weight " stage and everyone around me assured me I am. I fought so long for this surgery and it still hasn't sunk in completely that I am going to drop this weight. I hope to go back to work Saturday. I am bored out of my head. I thank everyone for the prayers and support. I will post tomorrow about my weight loss. Dannielle

Good Morning Jan and OH Peeps~ Yesterday was so ho-hum it was unbelievable....and what made it worse was that I had so many restrictions I couldnt do those little tasks you want to do when the weather is yucky and all!! I will say it felt good to open windows and let some clean fresh air go through the house! The sun peeked out a couple of times, but decided not to stay....probably tired from having to work for almost a week before-LOL I am glad that we wont have to choose from warm weather or sun soon-it will be nice to have them BOTH...it seems too gloomy when there is no sunshine all day Jan-Yes, whomever that man was-he WAS taking up residence in that camper. The camper was stored locked and of course, no windows open....the table that turned into a bed hadnt been made back the way it was when it was stored too-so the most we can figure out is that he wasnt there to hurt anyone, just hiding or something-so FAR....I dont care-thats creepy, and he needs to go get a tent and go somewhere else and not breaking in!! We believe that when he saw me see him (LOL) that he went to hide-but then when he saw me take off in the car with the baby and the dog-that he grabbed whatever belongings he had and took off....since there are 2 other properties adjacent to ours that are ALL wooded-hard telling WHERE he went or where he was from...we are ready IF he gets stupid and comes back! Our lovely sheriffs department didnt seem concerned whatsoever, but then I have ONLY had to call them once-about those 12 or 13 dogs left to die-and then did argue with them when they chose to believe the one guy across the street that said he (the man that left them there to die) had come and already picked up the dogs that morning-and I said-well then how in the hell are 2 of them in my daughters car and WHY did "I" physically SEE them ALL in my trash at 2 in the afternoon? They still chose not to do anything to that guy-because I believe they just didnt want to be bothered with paperwork etc. So, this time we were told that since he is no where to be found AND as of yet, we didnt find anything missing-they would make a report of it and IF we had another problem, they could come out! I wish we could have the choice of paying our personal property taxes to pay their income, then I bet they would WANT to do what they get paid to do...However, I do know its not as important as some things and it wasnt emergency. I guess thats why a lot of us out here have firearms-because we live in the middle of nowhere and it takes FOREVER to get them out here and we couldnt just wait for THEM to decide if its important enough to come out....I really hope I am not PMS'ng should that man decide to come back! LOL....We have left the big guy to do his protection services-we were going to physically let him stay in the camper last night, but with the storm coming through...I was afraid we would wake up in the morning with a piece of the camper missing that the dog ate to get out LOL.....We did leave him out most of the day and he walked around and even went to a place in the woods-a couple of times actually-but never barked or ran after anything, so I know he wasnt after anyone....the whole county would have heard him- right Terry? (mels hubby that Dozer tried to pull through the fence by his shirt pocket) MY BACK....What do I say? I dont what to think...the pain meds are not helping me.....even if I take 2 at a time...now, did make me light headed last night and then I got the giggles while I was tt Mel on the phone..I had tears streaming down my face and couldnt catch my breath, but the pain never did go away...I am starting to get a little freaked out. MY son (just turned 4) has been on a roll lately with saying or doing things that TOTALLY embaress you-and it finally happened to my daughter yesterday. She came to pick him up since she had the day off. Got him a happy meal and then they were going to Tilt-its a game place at the mall to play games *HE LOVES IT*...so she goes to Old Navy cause she needs new work khakis or black pants-hers are old and ripped....well, she takes Jon in with her while she is trying on clothes, and he says as loud as he can-WHY ARENT YOU WEARING ANY UNDERWEAR....she is like -Jon, be quiet-I DO have underwear on, he says NO YOU DONT, MEGAN! HOW COME? and he just kept it up and she was like OMG Mom...I was soooo embaressed and I could hear everyone in the dressing room whispering and laughing and I didnt want them to think I took a 4 yr old in there and was naked in front of him....she is like SEE Jon, this is underwear and Jon says-I DONT SEEEEEE THEM....she immediately got dressed and left!!! I was laughing my rear off!! In my mind I could see the whole thing unfold....and my daughter is VERY easily embaressed.... Deb M....You have an arsinol there woman!! Holy cow-and I thought I was someone to be messed with!! You have me beat by a mile-LOL....did I mention Deb, that I LOVE YOU...thank goodness were friends. LOL...but seriously-understand, and people should not mess with your property OR try and break in your house-unless they are willing to take the chance of having the nuzzle of a gun aimed at them, right? It does help to have the guard dogs-but then you have to know what they are barking at-LOL. Had we known all that constant barking was trying to tell us someone was back there in the camper-this would have unfolded a whole lot different!! Now we will be more aware-just glad that this doesnt happen a lot-but still a little freaked out that it happened at all. Maybe we can meet sometime this summer and target practice. How much property do you have? That would be fun...Maybe Julia and Jan can join us and we can have a name like the foxy firearm friends. LOL Jan-I can picture you with the peeping tom-HOW COOL IS THAT? you got to live most of our dreams!! Thats wonderful...LOL...When we lived in Joplin-we had our home and garage broke into at least 4 times...they just kept coming back...and they robbed us blind,(and trashed our house and garage) and now that we live out here-we dont lock the door half the time, you know? always felt safe that the ONLY roads to get to my house you have to pass by someones place and they keep an eye on us-but never had anyone walk here through the woods-so I am not as relaxed as before- I wont hesitate to take a shot (not to kill or anything, but to scare) at someone if I was under the same situation you were in!! I bet you cured him without any psychologial help! Mel says that I wouldnt need a gun if I thought Jon was in danger-she says I could take him without anything-LOL...Like a mamma bear protecting their cubs. You just dont mess with my family-Julia said it correct-I guess even though we are women, we can take care of us and our kids-huh? mess with us....ecspically if we ever teamed up- Ok-I am sure I have gone over my 500 words....Sherr-glad you are doing better. QUIT being a recluse-LOVE it when you post-LOVE the new posts too-like Tammy....so what IF you havent had surgery yet-we still want to know how life is-AND its not just post ops that can come up with ideas or listen-HELLO....(getting slapped upside the head by Tammy).....Join us, would you? All newbies-we would LOVE to hear from you.... Tammy-we have been talking about a weekend deal this summer or whatever...out at Jans property...tents and bbqs etc...How fun will that be? I also said sometime this summer I will host some sort of pool party and bbq type deal-so well see.....a camping adventure at Jans sounds like so much fun....Jan-how much property do you have? this is a pretty wild bunch, thats why I am asking-will the neighbors call in a noise complaint if we get the giggles at midnite? Well, I am gonna go for now. Good morning Missouri..... How is everyone? Hope noone got blown away during this crazy weather....Sitting here at work waiting to give shots....another day of work and another penny earned.....lol... Not much going on my way except work, work, and more work.....if I am not at work then I am at home doing my house work.....Kids are doing good and so is the hubby....Still no word from the doctor on my headaches, I guess he is just going to make me wait until I see him on the 9th..... Good Morning Everyone: Wow it felt so good to sleep in today. I actually got to sleep until 8:20. Kind of felt like I was being bad. lol DH is still out cold snoring away he he he. Well the house is finished (doing Janets baby happy dance) And it goes in the paper on Friday and will run until Sunday. So hopefully the Lord will direct the right ones to the house. Dont get me wrong it isnt the Ritz by far, but it is still my home. And the only one I have had for the last 8 years. That is the longest I have ever lived in 1 home before. I just want someone who will take care if it and pay there bills. I thought today was going to a lay back kind of day. But thats not so I have to go meet this Lady that Janet sent me too (okay not sent me too but she did sent me a post that this lady posted) She has a chocolate ****er approx 8 to 9 yrs old with papers. He use to be at a kennel and the owner got rid of him. Anyhow I'm getting him then taken him to get groomed and then down to my parents house to give him to them. His name is Coco I cant wait to see him. My parents are always telling me to leave my ****er with them cause so is so friendly and a true lap dog. (my baby) Then I will come home on Friday to hopefully DH telling me we have to show the house. I do believe that this is the longest post I have been able to do in a while now.
