HI SANDY!!!
Just wanted to put out a post directly to you!!! Hope you'll feel like posting back! This group is here for you anytime you need us and if there's not much action the the MO board.....check out the main message board or any of the other forums...there's a TON of them and even folks hanging out in the chat rooms, expecially on the main board chat room.
Youcan always ask for a phone number too if there's anyone you want to TALK with. Glenna has that info for all of those at the meeting last night.
Hugs!
Tami
Hi Tami !!
Thanks for the encouragement. I really enjoyed the meeting last night. Your input was very helpful. A handful of popcorn sounds really great right now! That will keep me motivated. I sill have a lot to learn about all of this. My emotions have been raw since the surgery and it helps to know that I'm not alone.
Thanks much!
Sandy
You're so welocome! Glad to see ya posting! I think we jsut mourne the foods so much cause look at what all eating has meant to us for so many years. But all those favorites you had befre WLS, you can still have, some will be in a new form......Sugar-free for example, and all will be in less quantity but you'll find that that really alright. Your body won't need what you used to give it. Our minds weren't operated on so it's a huge adjustment there that is ongoing......As everyone probably gets sick of hearign from me, but I still deal with issues even nearly 3 yrs post-op. I've sort of "gone back to basics" for 2 days now and I feel great!!! I'm not feeling hungry.....It's just a head thing and as long as we get in the protein and water our bodies need, we'll be fine! Also walk as much as your body will tolerate, or some form of exercise as it does as much as a low dose antidepressant can according to my fitness mag for women.
Keep coming back!!!
Hugs!
