WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Hi everyone! My scales dropped 3POUNDS this morning!!! I'm only going to try weighing once a week. I was hesitantly excited to see the drop, thinking--tomorrow it'll probably be back up again. Soooo, just going to weigh once a week. REALLY watching my eating, SNACKING, and water intake. Like Monique said last night, once you been obese and you get to a normal weight and FEEL what that's like, how GOOD it feels, it is just down right DEVASTATING to gain pounds back. There are much worse things in the world than gaining a few pounds but when you come from where we've been, and it's so personal...it's YOUR scale going up....I don't care, it is devastating. Soooooooo, finally I understand this better......what wasn't a battle for me a year ago, IS NOW and I will get back to my goal. : ) Tammy, we're so glad you came so far to get to the meeting and hope you can make it each month. Hello, Missouri, What a great meeting last night at Circle of Friends. Glenna did an awesome job leading but we sure miss you Claudette. Happy Birthday yesterday too. Only you could inhale a sunflower seed!!! It was so nice to see old friends and to meet new folks. People driving four hours for our group was inspiring. Perhaps if the Frederickstown group gets up and running it won't be so far for them. I thought we exchanged lots of good information at the meeting. It is a loving caring group. It was really good to meet everyone last night. So nice to meet people in person that you've read so much about on the boards. I enjoyed last night's meeting. I might not be able to come every month but will do my best to get there when I can. My husband works out of town during the week so I'm a single mother during the week. I have a 4-year-old that I have to get in bed because he has preschool on Tuesday mornings. Anyway, maybe I can come every other month. I had my 1 week appointment today. Dr. Edwards was called to surgery so I saw the nurse practioner. She's the one who does the fills anyway so was nice to meet her. All my incisions are healing nicely w/the exception of where my port is - naturally. Some of that has come open and has been oozing since Wednesday. She used some kind of q-tip thing to cautherize it and I have to go back in two weeks to make sure it's healing properly. Pray that it does because I can't get a fill until this incision is healed. I have to go back to work tomorrow so I won't be posting much during the week. Again, it was really nice to actually meet you all last night.

Hello everyone.... Sorry it is so late in the day but of course, I was super busy today at work yet again....That is why I am posting so late today.... Well got a call back from my doctor's nurse but didn't have an answer for me except I needed to follow up with the doc...well my appointment is not until next Thursday...so between now and then I sure hope a miracle happens and I get rid of this stinkin' headache....She did say that they would draw my blood next week and check all my levels to make sure they are alright.....they are also going to be discussing with me a new medicine for my legs because I had to quit one of my meds because the insurance would not cover it...so they may have to change a couple of my meds.....oh well God is on my side so I shouldn't even worry..... Tonight looks to be a long night because hubby has to work night shift and I don't sleep well when he is gone.....but my nine year old was put in charge while dad is gone....Dalton is so good, he makes sure all the doors are locked and chained before we go to bed....hopefully my daughter will behave and we can all get in bed early.... Tomorrow is yet another long day at the job because we will once again be short....and then at 2pm I will be getting an award from the commander of the hospital for outstanding service as a civilian nurse....I can't wait....lol Mom went for her check up today and she has lost 18 pounds....I told her I was very proud of her....but on the down side they had to make an incision in her belly because she had developed an infection underneath her skin....so she will have to pack it daily...so guess what I will be doing? That is ok though, I am used to it.... Well I hope everyone had a blessed day and enjoyed the nice weather.....Still sad that I was not able to attend the meeting last night but there is always March and if I have to tie mom to the car we will be there.....God willing and the creeks don't rise....but there are plenty of bridges on the highway to get across the creeks.... lol God bless to everyone....
