WHATS HAPPENING

Good morning everyone. Well my new Great grandson was born last night about 7:55 , my daughter said he was beautiful , lol of course. His name is Joshua Ian McCain Joe is feeling a little better. I got him some new allergy tabs and it is starting to respond. I have been sleeping on the couch since he is snoring and tossing and turning all night long. So far I am doing ok since I have been taken Clartin , My son and granddaughter are coming down to see us this afternoon. Havent seen them since Christmas. Didn't do a lot today. Went to town and bought Joe some sinus pills and some soup. So for supper we had chicken noodle soup. He had most all of the noodles and I had abou a cup of the broth. Lol reminded me of the week after surgery Well the scale is finally moving downward again. Yippee I am so glad. I guess it is the fact that I am moving more and also going to water aerobics. Janet: That is so neat that your husband took off to be with your son. Did they have fun yesterday? Did you get all of Mel and Terrys stuff moved for sure all of it? I must miss something I thought your ex in laws lived close to you . that your ex father in law just died and your ex mil had to give all of the stuff in the house to his son. ???did I get all of that wrong? LOL wouldn't be the first time. Well I don't care what that one person says you lost that weight since you started this journey not thru all of your life time. Lol Oh the baby I talk about today was the same one I was taking about yesterday. So this one today isn't a different one. Lol The only way to keep all the dates straight is to write it down. Lol other wise I wouldn't have the slightest idea Tami: Sure hope your little one is showing some improvement. I think the only thing that is ever really going to help my knees is to get them replaced but im not ready to do that yet. Yep will see you on Monday night. Julia: we are getting fresh eggs right now . Our neighbor is on vacation and they have a bunch of chickens and we told them we would feed them for them while they are gone . so we are getting fresh eggs daily. We are going to have a lot of eggs soon. Lol but they will keep in the frig. Yeah we have had 3 babies born in this past week and we had no Feb. birthdays in our family at all now we have 3. lol You know you will have to use s,f. ice cream in that moooo latte don't you lol. Sounds pretty good but im not a great coffee taste lover. Colette: Sweetie I hope I didn't hurt your feelings I just promised and she will let everyone know when she is ready. Just please keep her in your prayers. It could be a very serious thing for her. Debbie M: wow you really have a lot of problems with this site don't you. Have you looked at some of the new sites? Like the main board? They are all going to be like that soon. In one way they are better but in others they aren't. I still like the old site that we had long ago but then I don't accept change really fast lol No I don't have any pictures of the grapevine tunnel. What I did was took small cedar trees and put them in the ground about a foot. And about 4 feet apart on both sides of the path way then I took these big grapevines and wove them in and out all along the sides and I did the same on the top Then I added more smaller grape vines in and out too. Is really sort of neat. I wanted a vine of somesort to grow on it that would make it sort of dark and mysterious to going into the shade garden. lol On June 19th a bunch of us will be having a picnic at one of the parks there in Sedalia maybe you could come to that. It will be summer and wont get dark so early then. Lana: Hope you haven't been burning anymore wigs. Hey I really would like that recipe for the cauliflower. It really sounds good. Sherr: Please don't think that we don't want to hear from you because you aren't cheerful and happy. You are dealing with some heavy stuff right now and that is what your family here is for. We care about you and when you hurt we hurt. Please know that we are here for support for you anytime you want to talk We are all praying for your fur-babies. They are important to you so they are important to us. Let us know what the vet says about your little blonde baby. Well Sugar, my sister is getting down to the day count down now. 10 days wow not long. Keep her in your prayers. Also on The 27th Cathy Wolfe is having surgery And I have a friend in Ga. that will be finally going to see a surgeon to see if he will accept her for surgery on Thursday the 1st . she has had a long long road to get to this spot please pray for her, her name is Renee. Continue to keep Janets babies in your prayers and Tamis little girl. Julia for an apartment. Pray from Sherrs puppies, And for Joe to get well too. Andrews bil. Also Debbie D. is having surgery on the 5th Pray that we keep having nicer weather and don't have any more ice and snow. I think all of us are so tired of being house bound and so cold we cant breath. We need to all pray for Melissa that God will heal her. Hope she gets her internet back on soon. Good Morning everyone! JAN...Babies, Babies, Babies!! However many you have enoy them!! They are sooo precious! I pray that Joe gets better and that you don't catch anything from him. I understand the sleeping on the couch! With David, I swear he is gonna suck the roof in! Anyone else getting storms? That's what woke me up so early this morning! Thunder and Lightening so loud it scared me awake! This storm is suppose to be pretty bad, I'm praying it gets better (weaker) the closer it gets to us. Tonight their talking rain, snow and tornadoes...what a combo!! I might try something like that "tunnel" you have. I've always wanted one, just didn't know how to do it...now I do...thanks! It won't be this year but someday soon! We will be watching for news about the area we live in. They built a Justice Center just down the highway from us. Now all the property around it is up for sale. It won't be long before they will be trying to buy us out. At least I hope they buy us out and not build around us. I don't see how they could, we are right in the way of their progress! Still praying for Mel and Terry, Sherr, Bailey and Lucais, Julia, Janet, Jan and Joe, Barb S and Deb D. I want to welcome all the newbies...if you all need anything, just ask! To those getting ready for upcoming surgeries, our prayers are with you! Newly recovering from surgery, we haven't forgot you! Barb...thanx for the invite but David and I already have plans for Monday....he only gets every other Monday off and we like to spend it together since Church and Nascar pretty much take up most of our time on Sundays...lol Do you attend Church? Dear Jan and OH Peeps~ Well, yesterday was another really nice day, wasnt it? A little windy at times, but was nice all the same....it seems like the weather changed by 20 degrees in just a couple of minutes. LOL.... Mike and Jon played ALL day.....Jon said he had THE BEST DAY EVER...he got to play on the go-kart with daddy, go on an adventure to the woods and eat lunch there by their hunting building, shared their lunch, worked on the go-kart, hauled wood, you name it-they did it yesterday-TOGETHER....the little guy was so happy and excited. Daddy had a good day too. I woke up to the HEAVY rain on the metal roof....first time I have heard it since the roof was put on in December. So our couple of days of sunshine looks like is over for today anyway....Darn it. Was hoping to get some things done today while the older kids were home to help-but most of it was outside and thats a no-go today! Maybe tomorrow. Jan-Congrats on another healthy baby....YEAH....I am so glad everything has gone good with the babies and their mothers. I pray for Joe to get better and that you dont get any of it from him. I am also praying for your Sugs surgery and her daughter as well. I hope they get that mess cleaned up and that she doesnt have to pay for something SHE didnt do or cause. About the in-laws...my ex's mother and her 2nd husband lived here. My ex's biological father and 2nd wife live in Minnesota (where I grew up) and I have been really close to since I was a teen. My ex's mother and her 2nd hubby were never very close to myself or the girls, but the ex in laws from Minnesota have always stayed close to us and stayed in contact. They made the trip safely and got here about lunch time yesterday. I went over by myself to visit for awhile and stayed until almost 6 pm. My ex came over as well, and didnt stay very long, but got to see his dad and stepmom that he hasnt seen in a couple of years. I had an appt yesterday morning for Jon....then called Mel to see when to meet her-and after calling her and leaving message, waited for awhile and headed to my moms....figured when Mel called-would go and meet her and finish the house. They had a LOT going on yesterday with errands and she had to have labs done where she had to fast etc, so she had to go to the hospital lab for that, then to the Dr. for the lab for her coumadin, to the post office to change address (which-when she showed her drivers liicense to them-they didnt believe it was really her....she had to show them her before and after photo album she had in her purse-LOL...kept telling her that I wasnt making it up that she has physically changed that much...) then go get some carpet, bank and on and on. Didnt get to talk to her again until I called her back close to 4 pm....by then they were getting ready to go get the carpet and then were going to go home and relax. She said she was feeling a little better yesterday. Whatever the Dr. called in for her was helping and thats a plus. Not sure if I will see them today or not. I think she said she was gonna take the day off. YEAH....maybe she will get some well deserved rest. Not sure whats in store for today, since its so yucky outside. My hubby is building some work benches for his hunting/hobby room and I got to use the air hammer yesterday and LOVED IT...I love to help him build stuff. I love to work on cars too, but got too fat to do anything...after my divorce, I learned to change my own oil, plugs, I even put in my own radiator and fan! Now after being with Mike for 10 years, he sent me to our storage building in town to get a starter and I brought home a water pump and 2 alternators...LOL...I told him since he didnt answer the phone, I grabbed whatever I didnt know what it was and wasnt too big to be the starter....A lot of parts I knew what they were...so anything in question came with me...I had to laugh cause 10 years ago I could have told you what every part on that car was...I have gotten spoiled! So-there may be a trip to storage today...LOL Everyone needing prayers-you are still being prayed for....whether you asked or not. Joe and Jan, Sug and daughter, Lana, Craig, Mel and Terry, Sherr and pups, Tami and daughter/family, Andrew and family, Julia, ALL of our pre-ops, ALL of our new post-ops and for our prayer warriors....thanks to everyone. Good morning Missouri....almost afternoon.... Haven't gotten to post in a couple days...was busy at work and then yesterday was in bed most of the day...I have been suffering really bad this week with migranes....don't know what is going on with them....yesterday was really bad, was seeing double and everything....today I started out with one and I have been kinda laying around this morning....of course with both kids with me today it is impossible to get to sleep...either Dalton is asking me for something or Jaiden is needing her bottom changed....Feeling ok right now so I thought I would post.... I can not believe that a whole nother week is gone and almost the whole month...what a busy month this has been....Well wanted to let everyone know that I won't be able to make it to the meeting this Monday because my son got a call yesterday that they need him on a soccer team and practice begins on Monday...I am excited for him, he really wanted to play this season... I hope that everyone is doing ok....I pray nightly for each and everyone of you....know that if I can not post sometimes that you all are still in my thoughts and prayers...Welcome to all the newbies..... Well better go....I think I will try and get some dishes done while I am feeling ok....got some housework to get done today...and my hubby is expecting me to come and help him do his vending jobs today after he gets off from his regular job at Wally world... Good Morning Ya'll, Well thanks Deb M for sending the storms you had early this morning this way lol we started getting some bad thunder and lightning and hard rain about 7am or so and its'been raining really hard off and on ever since. My lil chiuahua just hates thunder, she's like a lil baby holding on to momma's skirt, she sticks with me every where I go in the house lol poor thing. Well its been a busy couple days again for me. I start some online classes on Monday toward Health Care Administration and Nursing. I chose to start online because of the convience since my wife right now is working different hours and I'd have to drive to farmington which is about 25 miles so this way I dont have to worry about how to get there and so forth. Friday for 2 hours my enrollment counselor walked me through the virtual college, geeze I hope I can remember all the stuff lol. Each class is about 9 weeks long, Im starting out with 2 classes, yikes I'm pretty nervous just thinkin about it lol but I know with dedication and all I can do it. Then prolly this summer or so I'll be starting regular nursing classes so hopefully in a couple years or so I'll finally have a good career going, which will be a lifelong dream of mine. Susan is doing really well at her new job, she was suppose to work at the mega bar keeping it filled and clean and all but so far she's only worked one day at that, they are training her in other area's also. She worked the front line on thursday, then last night she worked the carving table, now this morning she is working the breakfast crowd making custom made omlettes. She seems to like it so far, she says the people there are so nice to work with and all so thats really good. The BIL is doing really good according to the doctors, he has the second part of his surgery on monday morning, they will remove his leg just below the knee, he'll be in the hospital there for a week and if everything goes ok he'll be transfered up here to the new county hospital here in Pilot Knob cuz they have what is called "Swing Beds" and he'll do rehab there for about 4 weeks then hopefully go home. We were glad he was able to get transfered here after his surgery, its only a mile from our place, his wife is so glad cuz she passes by the hospital on her way to and from work so it will be so easy for them. Well thats about it for now, my power seems to be flickering so I better get off here for now. Sure hope everyone is having a good weekend, stay dry. RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY I'VE HAD MY FILL FOR A HUNDRED DAYS!!! Hi all, I didn't hear any thunder or see any lightning but it sure is wet! My yard looks like a lake and we were just getting to where we had some of the sidewalks out of water. No way now. Where ever you walk it is a mess. My social worker from MDA finally got my paperwork to the Dr. She had to work almost all week and finally called the head director. Now I just hope the woman who has been such a pain will get the paperwork complete. I am looking at 36 days till WLS. Yeah! But I want to get moved first. Jan and all, when did they contact you to get your assessment papers from the office and give you a date for that? I haven't heard from them yet. I have told all my famly my birthday to do list for this year. It will be five weeks after surgery so I am going to do the following: 1. new hair do, and color 2. new nails ( I bite mine bad, I used to get them done all the time) 3. pedicure 4.eyebrows waxed 5.dancing!dancing!dancing! even if I just sit I am still going out! In the spring and summer we go to dirt track racing close by, we love it. My 16 year old grandson and some of his friends race. He has been racing for a couple of years. Aaron is my daughter's bestfriend's son but truly a Grandson to me.We all like it and usually make it a family affair so I am looking forward to that time of year to get me out and about. I am keeping the prayer list going. Hope everyone has a nice weekend dispite the weather. Julia
