I'm banded!

I posted this earlier but didn't show up for some reason. Thanks to Marilyn for updated for me. Here's what I sent in an e-mail this morning. Just a quick note to let you know I made it and am home. Got a call as were were getting ready to leave drop Wyatt off asking if I could come right now because they had a cancellation. That was a good thing because I didn't have to wait around hardly at all. I was originally supposed to be there @ 9:30 and surgery would be around 11:00 - well I was being wheeled into OR @ 10:00! It was a blessing because I didn't have time to sit around and think. I have a couple extra incisions (7) because they had a hard time w/something. Not sure w/what as I didn't see my doctor afterwads he just talked to Mike and you know how men are w/details. Anyway, we got home around 5:00. I'm feeling okay - little sore but was able to sleeep in bed. I think I belched up a lot of the trapped gas last night too (sorry if TMI). So far I'm feeling really fortnate that it's gone so smoothly right now. I'll update more later in the week.

Debbie hope you are doing realy well and glad you are home already. Hope to see you at the meeting Monday night at the Circle of Friends. Congradulations. Jan

Congratulations Debbie! Sounds like you are off to a great start. Being able to sleep in bed is a luxury I didn't have! Lucky you!!! I was OPEN RNY though, the recliner was my friend! lol Here's to your healing without any difficulties! Tami

Thanks, ladies! I'm going to try to come to the Circle of Friends on Monday. I'll be off wor****il Tuesday or Wednesday so there shouldn't be a problem w/me making it. I'm anxious to meet all you wonderful people on this board.

Hurray for you Debbie! I hang on every word, as I don't even have a surgery date yet. I'm having the lap band surgery also. I'm keeping you in my prayers, and you go girl!

Debbie - glad you posted and things went so well! Start walking a bit and the gas will keep coming out - that is a good thing! Hugs, Marilyn
