Anyone out there nascar fans? I love it. And today was a big race for you that don't know it was the beginning of the season. Daytona 500 is big. And what a finish I really was hoping Mark Martin would win . He sure almost had it but what a finish and all the cars behind good grief lol. What a ending right? You know I am wishing already that we had made my green house twice as big as we did. It is really going to be crowded in there when I get all of this stuff transplanted and into bigger pots. Wow. Good think I am going to give away some of these tomato plants the end of this month. Sure wish I could give all of you some of the Pineapple tomato plants they really are good tomatoes. I think every seed I planted of them came up . I only have 12 of the red tomato plants so don't know how many of those will make it thru to big ones. Did anyone watch the start of Amazing Race? . Some of them I didn't like the first time and I still don't so don't know if I will like it this time around or not. I really am pulling for the couple from Kentucky. I know they need it the most . Everyone please keep my sister Sugar's daughter in prayer. Read her post about the custody of her boys and what all is going on. There is a lot more that you can just imagine but it is a sad situation. Wasn't it beautiful out yesterday and we are suppose to have more of that for at least this whole week. Even into the low 70s oh boy that should help all the people that have still got snow and ice .Bless your hearts I hope it melts it all away for you. Julia: lol that sounds like fun going and seeing the kids at their dances but do they like that? Lol Your surgery time is coming isn't it. I hope you get some of the things settled that you have been having going on for awhile. It would be nice to come home to a new apartment wouldn't it? Wish I was closer to you I would buy those end tables from you. I really need some for my guest house and can't find anything in thrift stores, So far. Yes I love Marilyns new picture too. Havent heard anything from Gretta since she had surgery. Wish she would get on once in a while. Don't understand why some people do that. They are on a lot before they have surgery and then they just stop. Don't they know we miss them. Andrew: tell Susan that we are all praying for your brother in law and sils sister. There are so many prayers needed right now it seems. Seems like the prayer list gets longer daily but there are answers to them too . Andrew we are all hoping and praying for the resolve to these request. Let us know what is happening. Hope you all still get to come to the March meeting of the circle of friends. Janet: That is wonderful that your daughter is getting better. I know it seems like when you have something like that in a houseful that everyone gets it before it is all done Are you taking extra vit c and Echinacea it isn't expensive and if you take enough of it about 2 pills 4 times a day it really helps or at least it does me. What did you dump on?Did you eat something sweet? Or what? Oh no you didn't eat some of Melissas valentine candy did you? You didn't!!!! Take care and know that your kids and you are still on my prayer list Mommies of sick kids need all the prayers they can get. Melissa: That is wonderful news about Dannielle. So glad that you are keeping up with her. I know your fil is going to really love having you all there. You know that it has really been lonely for him. How long has he been alone? Is the house big enough for you all? And possible an expanding family hopefully soon? Kathleen: yes and here the weather forcast is for lower 70s wed, thru frid and Saturday. Isn't that something. Maybe I can open the windows and turn off this furnace. If it gets even into the 60s where you are it will be sure to melt all of that left over snow. Good to see you posting more lately. Debbie: wont you be able to see Tara in the hospital tomorrow? After when you are having to walk around and around cause they want you up and walking as soon as possible. Will be praying for a good surgery with no complications. Do you have someone that will report to us here on the board that you are doing ok after your surgery? Hope you will come to the next meeting you can of the Circle of Friends . the next one is on the 26th but you may not feel like going out yet them but if you do we would love to see you there. The weather has taken a turn toward spring. Maybe now the colder days will be just one here and there now. The last of winter is hopefully over. I know we will have more cold days but maybe they will be outnumbered by the better weather. Need a favor from anyone that still has the address list we got at Christmas time for the Christmas cards can anyone please email that to me. I would really appreciate it. Everyone remember Tara and Debbie S in surgery today. Lift them up in prayer for a safe and uneventful surgery. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Hi Jan, yes the kids like it when we go see them. Not many parents do. But my daughter and I are considered the "cool" ones I am hoping for sunshine tommorow so I can get a couple of these apts cleaned out , at least the trash. That's probally why I don't feel like packing cause I have to clean other peoples mess. I hope the warmer weather will give a break to all the illness going around. I don't miss that part of parenthood at all. Sherr, sure do miss your smiling face. Hope Bailey is doing better. Yes Jan I miss seeing some of the others too. Like Kat, Kelli, and Gretta. But I do keep in touch with Gretta. We are hopefully going to be able to do a couple of road trips together to visit some of your support groups. But just waiting for the weather Lana, I miss seeing you, hope you are enjoying your visit with the family. Vesta next time you have an appt. with Dr H. I would love to see you. Andrew I am keeping you and Susan in my prayers for your family and Also Barb your family are in my prayers. Julia

Good Morning All, I just want to thank you all for all of your prayers for my wifes brother. We went to visit him yesterday in ICU but he was pretty much out of it. We found out the reason his wound was bleeding so much is that the doctors never had a chance to get him off the blood thinners. So they put him in ICU to keep a better watch on him. Last night tho his wound started bleeding to much so they called the doctor and rushed him back into surgery about 10pm last night, he's doing better so far, the bleeding has stopped and all. But, just as his wife was leaving to rush up to the hospital with him going into surgery she got a call that her sister had passed on so she called us and we went on up to the hospital while she went over to her moms, boy when it rains it pours but we all know that GOD IS in control. Her sister has been sick for a couple years now and we know for sure she had accepted the Lord into her heart so she's in a much better place right now. She died of Lymphedema (not sure if thats spelled right) they didnt find out what was really wrong with her until it was to late I guess. Im not all sure what that is. Anyway keep Carol Jones family in your prayers as they make arrangements for the funeral and all, Carol is the one that passed on, she had a 19 yr old son and 22 yr old daughter. We are so concerned about her daughter because she is very over weight. I've been really working with her to get her to go to a WLS surgeon, she's checked into it a time or two but never been serious about it til now. Hopefully I can get her to come to the Fredericktown Support Meeting. Jan we are praying that Susan has off so we can get to the support meeting up there and to sedalia, we really wont know until she starts and gets her schedule. We're not sure when her days off will be, one way or the other we'll make it up that way. Well sorry to ramble on this morning, thanks again for all your prayers and support. Bless ya's, Andrew

Good Morning, Missouri Peeps! Well, I'm getting ready to leave for my Assessment in Sedalia. I'm so thankful the weather is warmer. However, the winds are really blowing here so the windshield factor is more than 10 degrees colder than the temp. I'm taking my sons car since it gets better gas mileage. I told him he could drive the van today. Turns out neither one of my boys have school today because it's President's Day. The week before last they were out 2 and a half days. Seems like they have more days off than they do school. I hope everyone has a good day and I will post when we return home. I want you all to know I really appreciate everyone of you! It means so much when we can post and everyone is so willing to help us. Thanks! Debbie D. P.S. I just called Sedalia and the nurse told me I did NOT have to fast for my testing today. I am soooooo glad!

Hi Jan and MO Peeps~ What a beautiful day it was yesterday-except for the fact that it was so nice that I wanted to get everything done and spend as much time outside as possible!! My hubby cut and split wood most of the day, while I cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more....I did get to go for a walk with the little guy and we also let the dogs out and played ball with them, that was so much fun-and so relaxing..I really enjoyed that. We also drove the Blazer through the woods to see all the tree damage-first time we have been able to get through the path since its been snowy and muddy. We still have snow here and there...the damage is amazing-I dont think we will have to buy wood for a couple of years!! We had to move some trees that fell over the fence line and blocked the path, but ran over most of them! Thank goodness the Blazer sits way off the ground or wouldnt have made it through. Think the little guy was out too much-had a bad cough last night....he did have his coat and hat on, and then later on his gloves. He isnt coughing this morning, so maybe the fresh air just broke everything up...keep your fingers crossed. Well, Mel and Terry brought over the bunk beds-got the old race car beds broke down in the boys room and got the new beds set up and then made them, got all my laundry caught up, my daughter made dinner last night-so she is feeling much better, but still doesnt have a voice-we did mark that on the calender tho-no talking back for this past week-its been so NICE! LOL They also gave my 4 yr old their BIG gold fish, his name is Nemo-and I put the filter deal in wrong and it was sooooo noisy...finally got up in the middle of the night when the noise was keeping me awake and tried to fix it-how can you mess that up? LOL When Mel was walking away-I was like-your butt is getting so tiny!! I couldnt believe it-she looked so cute yesterday (she always does-but yesterday her clothes fit better LOL and she is REALLY looking skinny!!) We also went and checked out the pool-wanted to show her hubby the snakes that are in there, but they must have died with the cold weather, cause they werent swimming around and there was a thin ice over the water!! CANT WAIT TO USE IT THIS YEAR!! My big dog kissed all over Mel, but tried to pull Terry through the fence by his shirt pocket-he isnt too big on men-and is VERY protective when Mike isnt around-and he was still cutting wood then!! Thank goodness he didnt get skin!! Well, today I dont plan on doing anything but more spring cleaning...when and IF it warms up, will go for a walk with Jon and the pup, but thats about it. Still praying for Andrew and his family, for Tara and Debbie and their safe surgeries, for everyone who is sick, for Sherr with migraine, for Bailey for a good report this week and for everyone all around for health, peace and happiness. Love you guys, Jan

Jan-forgot to answer about the sweets-NO...I havent even had the urge to try ANY candy or anything of that nature-I go for the sf fudgesicles if I want something like that. I had ONE very small piece of my daughters sesame chicken she was eating for lunch! Must have been the sauce or MSG..not sure-but it was HORRIBLE!! My daughter was so stressed out cause she never knew dumping could have that affect-where your chest hurts and I was holding my chest and arching my back (while I was trying to drive) and then I just stopped! I was wishing at that point I had gotten her her drivers license for her 16th b-day and even debated letting her drive anyway.. Love, Jan

Hey everyone, Boy there sure are alot of folks in need of prayers today! Please add my daughter to that list. She's been sick for 2 wks now and today we are going in for blood tests and xray after work.(luckliy my kids had the day off today so my older one is watching her) The fever just isn't going away. Hopefully they are right and it's still just viral, but the poor thing has had enough, her name is Makynna (like McKenna) and she's almost 8. I'm waiting to see if they will approve my intermittant FMLA as well, as I've missed too many days of work due to her being (since her first bout with Strep and Mono in the fall). My mom has offered to come down from NE MO to stay with her W-F this week if we need her to. Let's hope and PRAY that the fever goes away and that's not going to be necessary...or that I GET FMLA and I can stay with her as a mom should. It's times like this that I absolutely HATE being a working mom. It SUCKS! It's had me pretty down actually with this round of sickness, just wish I could be the one with her. My job is the one that has our health ins though. Other than all that, all is okay. We took it easy this weekend. Hope to still have time to get my workout in after the lab/xray visit tonight. I keep increasing my time/resistance on cardio and have gotten up to burning a minimum of 400cal. each time plus 45mins+ of weights. So you'd think I'd be losing these few extra pounds I have added on but so far I'm not. I'm trying to be persistant and patient and honest with myself about my eating.....this is definitely a life long battle......but I feel so much better than I did 100 pounds ago. I give credit to my husband for getting me to the gym 4 times a week and nudging me to set more goals. THANKS HUN!!! Sending up prayers for all of you folks in need of them. Tami
