Looking for Info.

Hello all, I'm new to this site. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with Missouri Medicaid. I am disabled, And live in Cape Girardeau. For anyone not familiar with the area, Cape is about 100mi south of St Louis. The problem is, I can't seem to find a surgeon who accepts Missouri Medicaid any closer than Colombia. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you. George

George as far as i know that is the only one that accepts medicaid. Good luck on your journey. Jan

George Good too see a new face on the board. I had Dr. Scott out of Columbia. I dont believe that your gonna find anyone closer who accepts M.M. The travel part of it stinks trust me I know. I live in Joplin the Southwest cornor of MO. But once you meet him and his staff that are great. Please feel free if you have any questions to post here on the board or drop us an email. Hi George, I have MO medicaid and went to Columbia. I thought there was a place in St. Louis, but havent done my research in a LONG time, so I am not sure if they still take it or not-but Columbia does~and its a LONG ride-but its worth it-they are the BEST surgeons you could ask for!! Thank you all for you help. I called today and reserved a spot at a seminar on march 3rd. I don't know how active I'll be on this site but I will drop a line or two every now and then.

Hi George ,great to see you on board.Have you checked with the "HEART OF AMERICA BARIATRICS IN ST. LOUIS" I know they have a Dr. Van Wagner Or Von Wagner?? not sure of spelling. But check them out. You can find the phone numbers and addresses by checking out the bariatric surgeons on the blue list to the left of this page. Hope you find some one. I do know here in Sedalia we have an awesome Dr. that does. But let us know what you find. Julia
