WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY. HEY ITS THE WEEK END

Sure didn't do a lot on Thursday. Slept late, planted some more flower seeds, took a nap and watched survivor. I cant believe they are letting one group have nothing and the other team gets everything. Wonder if that is a lesson in social thinking or some sort.?? The haves and the have nots. How far down will they have to go before they fight back? Don't understand what the directors are doing here. Well our niece hasn't called us yet about going to the hospital to have the baby so unless it happens tonight she will be checking into the hospital at 7am in the morning to be induced. I told her we would be over around 10:30 she should be in labor by then. I doubt if she has it that fast but you never know. We are going to go to water aerobics first and then after wards go across the street to the hospital. May bring her oldest daughter ,Sierah , home with us. She is 6 ½ and quite a character . Has anyone heard anything from Robin Nanette? She was suppose to have surgery yesterday at Sedalia. I called and they have no one by that name admitted to the hospital. Unless that isn't really her name. No one offered to be her angel or anything. So I am at a loss. I wrote Margie a email and ask her if something had happened that she didn't have her surgery or what? But haven't heard back from her. Benny: hey man it is so great to see you. You said your pcp may not approve of you having surgery? I thought you had already been approved and all and have a date now of April 9th is that still a go? That is great that you have lost that much weight. Is that the amount you had to lose to have the surgery? Sorry to hear about your mom, our moms are pretty special to all of us. So proud of you and the care you are giving her. Like Lana says it is very hard to keep it off and your pcp should know that by watching you lose and gain and lose and gain. This surgery is such a life saver in so many ways. Lana: have a great trip this week end. Have fun and enjoy and be careful . Janet: yeah I know what you are saying about the job in Hawaii. What does your husband do? What field is he in that he is getting the job offers? Hopefully the weather is going to warm up this week end. I sure hope so . I don't remember our winters being like this for a long long time. And this is suppose to be global warming? Don't think so . Your knees really sound bad girl. So when will you get the surgery on them done? I will have to have my knees done something soon but am going to wait as long as possible , now back surgery is a big resounding NO , not for me. As a nurse I took care of too many that had back surgery and never saw one yet that was much better off than before. Hips replaced that is good , knees replaced that is good but no on the back surgery for me. Yes it can run in families, all of my brothers and sisters have bad joints. We all have arthritis in most joints . Mine is all in my spine, both shoulders , right one is worse, both hips and both knees oh and my ankles. Lol So it is pretty much everywhere. LOL on Mel bringing your kids candy. So she is contributing to the obesity of a minor huh? Lol Rachael: what ever happened to your mom getting on the OH site? I never did see her anyway. How did your lunch date go with your son? I bet that was fun. Hope you stay warm until the weather warms up some.I know I feel the same way and don't go outside much, no more than I just have to anyway. Debbie D: I hope your friends daughter will be safe on the mission trip and I know you will miss her. I will keep her in my prayers for safe traveling. Sounds like you did good to have the boys with you taking the dogs to the vets. Sometimes they can be a handful to do that by yourself. Someone ask me before I had surgery "Arent you going to miss eating all the good stuff?" I told them you know I have ate all of that for about 65 years and I think I have tried most everything at least once. So no I don't think I will miss it. Lol Colette: hey great to see you girl. I guess you have been being very busy. What happened to your picture? I hope your new support group will be great and hope you all have a good turnout. That is the same night as our Circle of Friends meeting, the 26th. We always have such good turnouts and have such a good group going. Hope yours does as well as ours is. Some day when I can and if it ever gets warm again I may come up that way and attend one of your meetings with you. Would be fun to meet in person some of our northern people lol. Hi Jan, when I was at the hospital Tue, they said someone was supposed to have surgery that day but decided not to at the last min. Don't know who it was, they said to be sure before you got there if you changed your mind, I told them I am ready now and don't intend to change my mind.Cathy...........

Good Morning Everyone: I spoke with Danielle's g-friend this evening. She said that Daniellle was doing pretty good from surgery. But was having problems with her blood pressure due to being dehydrated. So they are giving her extra fluids thro the IV. And they will do the leak test on her Friday. I told her to tell Danielle that were all praying for her and Congrats on joining the losers bench. Didnt do awhole lot today wasnt feeling that good. Auntie Flow decided to come visit me today after being 2 days late. I was hoping for the odvious but the Lord said different. But thats okay it will happen in HIS TIME not MINE. Tonight my stomach has really been hurting something awful. I dont know what the deal is finally after 2 does of pain meds it has eased off. I am headed to bed to see if I can finally get some sleep while it isnt hurting. Has a great time with DH on our anniversary. Went out and had an early dinner. The place we were going for lunch didnt open until 4pm. So we went to Hobby Lobby and then wlaked the ENTIRE mall. Which is something we have never done with out having to stop every few feet to rest. I got to small blisters on my toes cause my boots are so big on me now. I have to scrunch my toes cause my feet slid in them. lol I guess it is time to look for me a new pair of boots. I received this email the other day from a friend. And I am going to send the link to it. Make sure you turn the sound up on it. The man that sings the song has a awsume voice and the video is so touching. I bawled thro the entire video. Make me feel so blessed that we have men and women so willing to fight for our country. Please keep our soliders in your prayers. And that they can come home to their family and friends soon!!!! Good Morning Ya'll, Bbbbrrrrrr it's FREEZING out there this morning. Boy I can't wait for the warmer air to come through, spose to be in the 40's next week, woot woot!! Sorry I havnt posted in a few days, havnt really been all that busy just trying to take care of a few things that are time consuming I guess. Susan got her work schedule for next week and she's only working 11 hours for the whole week so I took her around filling out some apps. Yesterday she got called for an interview at Ryan's Restaurant and got hired yay!! It's a full time position keeping the Mega Bar filled and fre**** pays a bit more then what she was getting here, it also comes with a health insurance plan, the manager said its not much but its more then what she has now. The only thing it'll be a 23 mile drive one way and it's in the evenings from 3pm to 10:30pm and the weekend is til 11:30pm. That's gonna put a damper on a few things we do in the evenings like the weightloss bible group I go to once a week. The Support Group I'll just take her to work and keep the car cuz I dont want to miss that again. So we'll see how it all works out, she wasnt sure if she wanted to take it cuz of the hours but we do need the income so guess we'll see. I know the Lord has a way of working things out in the long run. I have an appointment next week with Voc. Rehab. which is a part of the Ticket to work with S.S. Disability. I also got word yesterday from them that I qualify for a government grant to go back to school, so thats gonna be great. I'll know more next week. Melissa I hope the info I was able to give ya on Ticket to Work helps ya'll, it was great talkin to ya. Jan it sounds like your greenhouse is gonna be bulging at the seems with plants growing lol. I am so anxious to get my gardens started this spring. I want to congratulate all the new losers we have, thats so awesome ya'll are doing good, ya'll wont regret going on this journey, esp when the scales start talking nice to ya lol. Benny it's great seeing ya post on the board, be sure to keep us updated on how ya mom is doing when ya can, also keep us updated on your surgery and all, thats awesome you've lost that weight like that, I know its so not easy to do it without the surgery, I sure hope things will work out that you can have the surgery this time. just had to comment on the wife's job. I did that same job only at a Bonanza in 1989 and LOVED it! Worked those same hrs, had a blast.......I was titled pre-cook but that moslty meant filling the Mega bar and preparing what went in it. I hope she has as much fun as I did. (one bad thing, I used to order curly fries by the case there and eat them dipped in white gravy, mmmm, but BAD!!) Tami

Hi Jan and OH Peeps- I would say TGIF...but now ALL my kids are sick and even the oldest at home who was given the Z pack on Monday isnt any better-in fact, she is worse-and now we have to worry about her losing her credit for this semester at school due to absences. I will be cllng them later on today to see what we have to do-then its prob back to the dr ofc to see what else they can do-her upper respitory did better for a day or so, but now its worse, along with her throat and the 2 boys-BOTH coughing and puney..... Jan-I was told in 2000 that I needed BOTH knees replaced. I put it off for awhile to save my time off at work since I had gotten a blood clot after my 2nd right knee surgery and used all disability and vacation time. Then, had surgery scheduled and had gone on the Atkins diet-lost a bunch of weight and inches-and got pregnant with the little guy! Then I took a promotion at work that I knew would delay the surgery for a year-and here I am.....I was going to have them done in June of this year-but in January my bariatric surgeon said NO WAY....she wont release me for 18-24 months. So, not sure what we will do-cause I cant take the anti-inflammatorys like before-but maybe can get some pain meds for the really bad days....the weather sure can have a crippling effect on me, thats for sure-and I know you know what I am talking about.. I am thankful though, had it not been for my orthopedic surgeon, I would have never gotten to a bariatric doc and wouldnt have lost all this weight etc....had never thought it was something "I" could do~~~ Am anxiously waiting to hear from Tammy to see how her initial visit with Dr. Scott went yesterday and her trip. I am hoping to hear from her today.... Was so sad to hear that Mels not making me an aunt right now. I got so excited when she told me, that I teared up-she is so good with my kids and with everyones. She has one of those hearts-Maybe she is suppose to get done with the move or the blood thinners first...I dont know. I continue to pray for them that they will get a blessing or two or three in their lives as well! Until then, will be more than happy to share mine with them.!!! Not doing much today except getting the kids to the urgent care clinic and getting some new meds....crap! I am still sitting at 96#...scale hasnt moved really this week but then again, PMS will do that to a woman-so I am hoping after this week that there will be some more movement! Well, I am going to go for now, please remember to say prayers for Dannielle that her leak tests go ok and she gets to have some liquids.....and a speedy recovery! Jan, and All of MO Peeps, It is snowing AGAIN here. It isnt suppose to get below 25, but the wind is blowing hard and the wind chill is suppose to be -20 tonight so it will still feel like 3 degrees. Just wanted to let everyone know I am still here. I have lost 133 lbs and I am 3 pounds from onederland, maybe I will get lucky and see that next week. Kathleen
