Protein Bars

I have been eating these protein bars made by fresh energy bakery (www.freshenergybakery.com). I get the protein extreme bars that have about 39 grams of protein, 5 grams of sugar and 9 grams of total carbs per bar. you get 2 in a pack and I eat one or 2 a day. That gets almost my whole protein requirement in and assures me that whatever else I eat, I don't have to worry too much about the protein. The best part is that they taste really good. Just like eating a regular candy bar. I love the mint and peanut butter one the best. Anyway, thought I would toss that out there in case anyone is interested in another way to get their protein in without resorting to drinking it. (which I can't do).

I must be doing something wrong, cause I can eat a whole bar in about 15 minutes....I am gonna talk to my dr about it, cause I do get full, but only expected to eat about half of one, and I can actually eat a whole one. On the other hand, it does completely fill me up so I use it for breakfast on weekdays when I work a lot.

Barb, I have those too, Jan turned me on to them. I only eat 1/2 at a time. I don't know how much I can eat because I really monitor volume of food. I don't seem to have the problem with dumping by overfilling so I make sure I don't eat more than about 1/2 to 3/4 cup at any time. Works for me. I don't want to push the limits. They are the most wonderful bars though. I just love the chocolate mint and the yogurt covered berry one. You reminded me that I need to order some more soon. Hugs and love, Lana
