Hi OH friends...

I've been lurking lately because I've been leading quite a boring existence! Nothing major going on in my life--not working now, laid off till March. I can't even say I've lost any weight the past 3-4 weeks. I've been reading some posts on the August board and found out I'm not alone on the stall out. I'm hoping that something will break loose soon. I am down 105#, but I'm still 31# away from onderland. I would just like to see the 100's again soon. I've been walking on my treadmill everyday except Sunday and I've noticed there's a difference in my size, just no difference in the pounds. I have upped my speed to 2.5 mph and I walk 30 minutes a day. This is fast, but it sure feels good. I guess I did have a WOW moment on Friday. I started out wearing a size 14 in underwear and had to finally buy some smaller ones, a size 10, which I thought was great. I had been wanting some 'sexy' underwear for a change, so I thought I'd order some and found some super lacey ones in neat pastel colors. I decided to order them in a size 8, which I ain't never worn since I was first married in the '60s. I tried them on Saturday and couldn't believe it--they fit. I even called my DH in to the bedroom to take a look! They need a little more inches off to be really comfortable, but I could wear them in a pinch! Everyone seems to be doing so great and looking even better. I've missed the last 2 support meetings and really looking forward to the one at BRHC on the 13th. They give ya the extra punch you need to get through each month and feel better about yourself. Got some errands to run, so I'd better get off here. I just wanted everyone to know that I'm still around, but doing more lurking than anything else. By the way, HI to all the newbies--glad to have you aboard. This is an awesome group of people. Love to all, Linda

You know, Jan, you might be right about the protein and water. I really am not getting as much protein in as I would like. I really have a problem with the milk breaking out my face with the shakes and sometimes I wonder if the Protica just runs right through and nothing gets absorbed. I carry water with me all the time and what time I'm not drinking, I'm in the bathroom! I made some of the protein balls today. I'm going to see if they help me get in more protein. I had quit my vitamins, but started up again. I was taking a vitamin that you swallowed and it made me hungry all the time--I've always had that problem. I started back on the Optisource and it seems to be working better. Don't seems to have the munchies all the time now. Something I am going to try, is adding some of the vanilla protein powder to the pumpkin mousse pie. I really like the pie and I bet that would work in there too just like in the protein balls. I'm out of vanilla powder right now, but when I buy some I'll let you know if it works and how much I put in. I'm flying to California on the 15th of the month. The 21st is our grandson's birthday and he turns 5. I've never got to be with him on his birthday, so Rick told me to get a ticket and go. He can't get off work, but I'm laid off so there's no problem. I'll fly back on the 25th. Hopefully, I'll lose some weight playing with Ehren! Well, better get something done today. I've been running errands all morning and haven't got anything done here at home. Love to all, Linda

Linda I really am worried about you and not taking your vits. that is a life time thing that we will have to do for the rest of our lives. dont want you gettting really sick because of it. And the protein unless you are able to eat 90 grams of protein a day, which i cant possible then you will need the protein drinks or something to get it all in. I use OH 100%whey protein I get it at food 4 less down here but i know GNC has it also you can go online and get it. I have to use soy milk in mine but some use 1% milk . You have really done well but dont want you to get sick down the road from not getting everything in that you need in. It isnt an easy way to lose weight because of all the maintaining you have to do but hope you stay well and healthy love you Jan
