WHATS HAPPENING -------SATURDAY

February has started. Already the 3rd day, almost more than I can imagine. Wont be long before Spring really is here. I am already ready for it aren't you all? We are really having lots of cold weather this winter. Well one good thing I hope it is killing the bugs from last year. The ticks and chiggers and what ever else likes to stay around here. Did four different peoples taxes yesterday. I cant believe what this one girl and her hubby make it is almost double what we get in a year and yet you would wonder by how they live. Sure is a shame that some don't know how to manage their money. They make 58,000 and drive an old beat up car, live in a little run down house hmmmm. Makes me wonder. Nothing wrong with that if that is all you can afford but that kind of money they shouldn't be hurting for money. Makes you wonder what in the world they spend their money on. Oh and they don't have any kids either so it isn't that. I think im about to go stir crazy sitting in the house all day every day. I tried to get out and walk today. The sun was shining so pretty and didn't seem to be much wind but I bundled up really well and went out and got about half way around the block and had to come back I felt like I was freezing to death. I probably would have been alright last year in sweats and a windbreaker. Lol . Wow we are getting lots of newbies on the board I noticed. That is what keeps the board alive. Since it seems a lot of the older ones fall away after surgery sometimes. So welcome newbies. Glad to have you. Julia: So sorry about your sisters problems let us know what her results are about her biopsies. And your surgery date . I don't think they would do your wls right after having knee surgery don't know but I guess you still haven't gotten word about when you are having wls? Is that right I know your stress level has to be extreme all that you are going thru at the moment. Everything seems like it is tossed up in the air and nothing is landing . Will pray that things will start falling into place for you soon and you can get some peace in your life. Debbie: LOL love readying your post you go girl. Glad you are doing well enough to stand up for yourself. I hope that the first time you have your fill that you get the right amount and it last you for a long time. Some have to keep going back and back for fills often. Or at least that is what I have heard . We will let you tell us all about it since none of us really know about the band that much. So you will be our resident band expert lol. How does that feel to be called the expert of one. Was Wyno ok when you got home. I bet she let you know about leaving her alone didn't she? Did you get fussed at or ignored? Glad all the gas is gone and you are feeling better. And we are all proud of you and your weight loss. Hang in there it will get better and better. Janet: I couldn't help laugh with your description of your house bound kids and you. Know what you mean about the house not being big enough that they can always hunt you don't. Lots of (Mom he did this or that's) But actually one day you will remember all of that fondly , really you will. No I don't think I would have attended the funeral either. Why? Well I guess if the kids were close to the grandfather it would have been good for you to go to be a support to them but since they really weren't then no I wouldn't have gone either. Colette: Wow you all are really getting your new support group going. That is great that you all are doing that there has been one needed in that area for awhile. I think there was one in Blue Springs at one time but I guess no more. Your meetings are the same as our are on the 4th Monday of the month. The water aerobics that I will be going to is in Branson from here and is about 35 miles from me so 19 would be great as far as I am concern. I have done them before and they really help with movement and core balance and achy bones too. Rachael: So good to hear your mom is doing well after her wls. Hope she is hope and feeling ok now. That is awful that someone stole your sisters car. I hope she had full coverage on it so she will be able to get another one. That is so sad that people have to do those things in this world isn't it? Lana: Yes the snow is beautiful and it is a nice thing to see instead of all the mud brown that we have been looking at . Well I guess the people from Nixa on North haven't been looking at too much brown this winter . But this was a beautiful snow. So fluffy and pretty . Good that you found something to eat at Applebys. I bet you had a good amount to bring home didn't you? I have still not been able to eat much fish of any kind . And I love fish but since surgey it doesn't want to go down for me for some reason. No matter how moist. Even Tuna doesn't work too well. I can manage that if I put enough mayo in it and pickle relish and maybe some hard boiled eggs . Fish is such a great protein. One day it will be ok for me again im sure. About the only meat that I seem to be able to eat well is ground beef. Either in meat loaf or fixed like taco seasoning or chili or some way like that. Pork and beef as in steaks or such is still a no to me. Chicken ,dark meat goes down good if I cook it in some sort of sauce so it is good and moist. Another thing that a lot of people have said they use for protein is deli turkey and ham. No way I can not eat it no matter how thin it is or how much I chew . I get sick every time I try. So I still get most of my protein from my protein Shakes. I keep trying and one of these days I will be able to get the dense protein down. Oh beans go down wonderfully so those are great for protein. Well guess I will get this posted and start the thread for Saturday. Hope all the newbies will continue with letting us get to know them and not fall by the wayside. We have several that are MIA. Remember we are here for you if you need us and we enjoy helping anyone we can. We don't know all the answers and if it is medically related you would be best to ask your doctor but we can give you an idea of where to go with answers that fit in our situations. Hi Jan, Up late doing laundry. BORING!!!Yes it is so bitter cold these days. I get hot so easily but I haven't been able to tolerate this cold. I went to my sister's today and we were going to clean out an apt. But I told her by the time I walked the short distance to her apt. I was ready to go back home. DBF brought home some boxes and I have started packing up the apt complex mess. I am going to take it to the board president and leave with him to do with what ever he wants. I don't want anything else to do with it right now. I am looking forward to watching the Super Bowl this weekend to relax with my daughter and her family. Next week I have appointments everyday and 2 days In Columbia. It makes me tired thinking about itI am praying for warmer weather, at least 30's Yes I too miss all our MIA's but am glad to have new friends to join us.I am hoping after I get moved to be able to join Curves. Gretta and I talked about doing it together.I love water areobics, I took that years ago. The apt we are trying to get is by Centennial pool in Sedalia where I swim with the grand kids. So if they offer the class this year I am joining.I am also looking forward to meeting everyone in Blue Springs face to face.I am glad to hear everyone is doing well. Julia

Good Morning Everyone: Okay it is actually morning but I am headed off to bed for a few hours. I got so engrossed into a book I was reading I couldnt put it down. That was until I finished the whole book. lol I will be paying for it in the morning but oh well that okay. I dont get to do that very often. I played on the PC last night for awhile and changed over to the new text on OH.com. Didnt think I was ever gonna get it right. lol I am planning on taken some photo on Sunday after church and putting them up. I am going to Wal Mart and DH wants to run an errand in secret for our anniversary. Getting ready for the BIG GAME on Sunday!!!! It is so nice to see so many newbie on here lately. I hope we can see some of our older post-op's come back to the board too. Well Mr. Sandman is pounding on my door. If I didnt answer it soon I think he will knock it down. Well gooood morning Missouri Man oh man this weather just isnt right lol Tooooooooo cold for me, you'd think I was used to the cold from living up in PA for several years but I got used to the warmer weather real quick down here lol Oh well spring is supposedly around the corner since Phil didnt see his shadow lol. Yesturday I was feeling alot better so we did some running around, errands and what not that we needed to get caught up on. Stopped by the nursing home and visited with the FIL, I tell ya that man is so funny lol. From his room you can see the parking lot and he saw us parking the car, he managed to open his window and started yellin out the window, what I didnt know until we got in there was he got up out of his wheel chair but when he went to sit back down he missed it and was on the floor. Oh he didnt hurt himself, we walked into his room he was laughing up a storm LoL I tell ya that man is crazyyyyyy LoL. Well today we're gonna head off to the gym in a few, I havnt worked out since monday I feel it too, I feel so much better when I work out and do my cardio. After that Im gonna head over to Fredericktown, I saw on freecycle that a lady was giving away a bunch of spider plant starts so I emailed her and she gave them all to me, not sure how many but the way it sounds it's a bunch, Susan just loves spider plants so we're gonna stop by and get them after the gym. After that I gotta come home and organize my lil office, it's a MESS lol. My goodness dont ya'll go to bed anymore LoL I came on around 7am and there was already 5 posts LOL Welcome to all you newbies, sure glad to see this board a buzzing, ya'll keep posting and updating us on your journeys Well I gotta get my shake finished so I can go.
