Dad's Surgery Today & A "WOW Moment" for Sherr

Momma Jan & Crew, Sorry to have worried you Momma J...you sweet, sweet dear. I am also sorry I missed your special day. I hope it was a great one. As some of you may know, my dad had knee surgery today, well, he is home and resting. I had to drive him out at 4:00 a.m. this morning. So I am pretty wiped. I also got to drive the "PIMP MOBILE"...my dad has an Executive Town Car...lol....and I didn't want to try to make him crawl up in my Truck after surgery. He seems to be doing fine,and I've just let him w/ mom to come home. I have one sick puppy, I had him at the vet yesterday....whewww..... He has tonsilitus and bronchitius... SOOOO, anyway..... I bought a new skirt last week for a trip I am planning in March. It was on clearance, so I bought it, to put it in the back of my closet, in hopes that one day it might work.... Hey, it was less than $5 and was in the "tulip skirt"style I love. GET THIS.... IT IS A SIZE MEDIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I went to J Jill's and bought a pink tee shirt, in a SIZE LARGE!!!! Okay, I still have boobies....LOL... I came home tonight and thought I'd just try them and THEY BOTH FIT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT. I called my mom, and told her, and she was so happy for me!!! She even told Daddy and he tried to sound excited, that poor man, he hasn't a CLUE what the heck we are even talking about. LOL Sherr

Sherr, Glad your dad is doing ok. Congrats on the skirt and blouse. That indeed is a Wow moment. I too went through some sizes and went right through them because I thought I was too big yet for it. When I tried it on, it was way too big, not me. LOL Have a great day. Colette

Hey you~ I am so glad that your daddy is home and resting comfortably-thanks to 2 simple words-pain medication!! Hope he is back to annoying you soon and hope your mom makes it through his recovery period, LOL!! Congrats on the skirt and shirt-you go girl-glad you didnt wait to try them on, or you would be shipping them off to someone on ebay without being able to wear them... Dont be ashamed of "the girls" Im afraid I will lose mine-so if I have to stay at a large because of em, so be it-at least by then, hopefully my back wont hurt anymore cause their too big-maybe for once, I will be "just right" wouldnt that be something? Hi Sherr, Glad to hear your dad is doing well. Way to go on the clothes. Thats great. You deserve it. I too had a wow moment. I went to my pcp today and I had lost 6 pounds!!! I just don't have much of an appetitie since I started on my vitamins. Who would have known. I can hardly wait till my WLS. I am going to be on cloud nine with those WOW momentstake care. Julia

Thank you Mel Mel! With both parents being headed toward surgery it's been a scary time. Mom should be making her appointment when we take daddy back to his week post op follow up. I think for me the shouldn't even bee called "WOW Moments"....more like HOLY COW....TOTAL SHOCK Moments....lol... Janet said it best, if I'd just stuck them in the back of my closet, I'd been maaaad when they didn't fit because they are too big. I have a few t shirts and some yoga pants (((that have already gotten too big)))) that I've just bought, and that's what is trying to keep me warm. None of my clothes in the closet will work. I a going to start selling them all, thru an advertisement in the paper. Along w/ all the plantation shudders that were up in the house when I moved here, and I took down. I need to take 4 month pics anyway, so I will see if Mom will do it in the new outfit. S
