ATTENTION - ALL PEOPLE INTERESTED IN NEW SUPPORT GROUP IN BLUE SPRINGS!!

Just got off the phone with Tony and the results are looking good that we will have a room at his church. Final plans will be made withing the next few weeks. The location will be off 291 south and Woods Chapel Road. More details will come as Tony finds out In the meantime- we would like to get together for all interested to get to know one another and see how many we will start with. Tenatively, it will be next Monday, Feb 5th at Golden Corral on S. Highway 7 in blue Springs at 7:00p.m.. I will post again tomorrow nite after I speak to Golden Corral to see if we can use the back room. So watch for post tomorrow nite. I have to work so I will post as soon as I can. Any input or suggestions please contact me or tony. This will be a non-hospital, non-physician based support group -- more details to follow as they unfold. I just want to give a shout out about how important support groups are to your success. My doctor stresses, and I agree, that you have to find live support to keep your motivation and encouragement level up. We all have times when we aren't losing or are losing slowly and we can easily get discouraged and it is so helpful to talk to someone who has had success or is struggling with the same problem. I love Obesity Help, but I need my monthly Circle of Friends group too. It is vital to my life. I really can't say it any other way. Hugs and love, Lana

I have a confirmation in KC area from a friend for the meeting. She is also going to try to contact others there so looks like we will have a good group. Julia

I hope the support group grows and helps all of you so much. I know our Circle of Friends group here in Springfield is so good for everyone that comes to it. You can feel the support from everyone. Needless to say i love the OH Mo. board and that is daily but there is nothing like the monthy support group. Like i have told Claudette wish we could meet more than once a month. Jan
