Well Hello Missourians!

Wow! I am really glad I found this site! My name is Charlotte Butler and I have just gone through my consultation, on the 24th, with Dr. Hornbostel. Just waiting now for my surgery date! I will upload a photo shortly. I am 59 until February. Young at heart and refuse to grow up. LOL Would love to hear from you all. I too am having the RNY. Good luck to all of you! Charlotte

welcome to the board Charlotte. Where in Missouri do you live. I too had Dr. Hornbostl. He is a great doctor and really knows what he is doing , beside the fact that he is a Christian and prayes before each surgery. Great guy. Plese join us often. Hi Jan, Boy you are on the ball. LOL It was a thrill to hear from you. I am in Kansas City on the border line of Gladstone Missouri. I will certainly check in so I can get to know evreyone. Charlotte, Welcome to the Missouri Board. You will not find a more loving, caring, crazy bunch of folks anywhere. We are a bunch of prayers so be prepared. It's so good to have new folks come into our "house". I didn't have Dr. Hornbostel but I think he's wonderful. My insurance is contracted with St. Johns in Springfield and I had Dr. Edwards and he's fantastic too. A gentle, kind, caring, extremely competent surgeon. Keep us up to date on your progress, most of us have been where you are now and know how the waiting goes. Hugs and love, Lana

Hello Charlotte, Welcome to the Missouri board. My names Andrew, I had my surgery back in Nov. 14 with Dr. Hornbostel. You sure wont regret having him, he is a great surgeon!! Hello Charlotte; Glad you came to the board! You will love Dr. Hornbostel he is wonderful. The most caring Dr. I have ever met! Glad to see you have been married along time. We will celebrate our 40th on April 21st. I'm right behind you on the age thing. Your only as old as you feel. This surgery helps on that one. I feel 20 and sometime 30 year younger. Hi Charlotte and WELCOME!! Just want to say CONGRATS.....and finding this site-it will hopefully change your life for the better, like it has for me and a lot of my friends. I had my RNY on November 29th 2006 and I was a member of this board for almost a year before surgery and the MO board has some of the most loving, caring and understanding people there are!! They were there for me, each and every step of the way (when the puter was working, lol)....I have been lucky...I have had the priviledge of meeting a lot of the people on board that live around me-and some that are hours away and I love them all!
