~~Milestones~~WOW moments~~
Hi everyone!!
I just wanted to share some things that really excite me....first of all, I am 8 weeks and 2 days out...so right at 2 months, and my life has already changed sooo much, and I wanted to share that. I am 83# down (44# before surgery) and I didnt do my measurements before surgery, but in 19 days I lost 28 inches, so there is a difference there too....but to get to the really exciting stuff.....
1. I can make dinner without sitting down and taking a break, or sitting on my rolling chair in front of the stove because my knees hurt so bad!!
2. I actually RAN through the house chasing my 4 year old 2 days ago- "I" RAN!!!
3. I can sit down, bend over and put my tennis shoes on and tie them without having to wing my leg up next to me-
4. I can sit in some booths at a restaurant-that was so AWESOME!!
5. I am back to sleeping in my bed with my husband instead of on the lazy boy chair. I can actually sleep and I dont snore anymore!!!
6. None of my clothes fit correctly. I went from a sz 5x to a 2x....which I dont know what size that is in numbers, cause I dont have anything here to compare it to, but I do have some 24 and 26 that are too big!!
7. Our front bathroom has glass doors on the shower and I was always too fat to take a shower in there-and I can now!!
8. The seatbelts in my car AND other cars fit with no problem AND room to spare!!
9.. Last but surely not least-is being able to take a shower and shave my legs etc, without huffing and puffing and being all sweaty when I get out, even after drying I wouldnt feel "clean", just tired and warn out!!
Not to be too personal here, but its even nice to take care of things in the bathroom, without having to pull a muscle trying to wipe myself (LOL) With all of this being said, I just wanted to share the things I have been excited about, which some of you will understand!!! Thanks for listening and have a GREAT Friday!!
Jan
Jan we understand all of those things all too well if you are post op . Isnt it amazing?
Such simple things and yet they mean so very much. I guess that is why i go around with a silly smile on my face all the time. lol
More to come just keep working and doing and it will continue to come off and give you more and more of the things you use to do without thinking. GO GIRL

Jan,
WOO HOO!!! I love all your milestones. I'm only 4 1/2 weeks out and down 45 pounds from last summer but my tiny first goal was to be able to cross my legs, and I can now!!!
I'm losing slowly but it's OK, I'm not diabetic anymore, no HBP and no elevated cholesterol. That makes me a winner/loser no matter how slowly I lose. Hugs and love to you.
