MY Profile, Time to "Fess UP"......

Hello MO Peoples.... Well, I finally got up enough courage to add "BEFORE" and "AFTER" pictures....last night. THe only person that truly knew what I looked like before was Janet Corbett. Now I am mental stable to share it with you guys. eeekkkkkkk. MY STORY: I came here and signed up in the OH system on 06/22/06 Went to my Required Seminar on 07/09/06 Had all my testings and studies in August 2006. Finished up on 9/11/06 and had my surgery on 09/29/06. In 15 weeks, I have gone from a tight size 26 pants and a Men's XXXXL shirt to a size 10 pant and Missy's XL top. My BMI now is 30, I'd like it to be 25. They say you are supposed to have a waist 1/2 the size of your height. I am 5' 7" which is 67 inches, when I started my waist was nearing 50 inches... as of Monday, my waist was 34.5....Now to be on target, my waist would need to be 33.5, but I think for less than 4 months, I am doing awesome! I have lost over 80 pounds, and have 26 left until I reach my personal goal. Both my parents are in need of knee replacement surgeries, my dad does for his 1st knee on Tuesday. Then my mom will go in and begin the process. Now that I am feeling 1000% better, not only can I do more for myself, but I am able to care for my parents. 2007 is going to be such a great year for the Harden's. If I can do this, anyone can! sherr, you are awesome and so happy to know you. Wow!!! your progress is great. You look so different and I know how you feel as I feel the same way with losing 82 pounds. Only you are so much younger than me and have a long time to live yet and I am so happy you have a new beginning. Love ya!! Colette

Hi Momma J & Collette: Thank you so much, you two are my biggest fans. I hope each of you know how much I appreciate you. I read everyday, some days, I just don't have anything in my dull life to add.... As you guys saw, my parental units are both going in for knee surgeries soon, and I am so thankful I will be able to take care of them both. I was here for my mom's Hysterectomy in 2001, and stayed bedside w/ her the whole time.... Sherr

Oh...Ms. Julia... How are you honey? I "try" to take monthly pics, and really could not see a difference in day before surgery, first month, second month, but MAN, 3rd month was a totally dif. person...lol I thnk Tues. is my 4th month...so I will make my poor mom come over again, and take more pics...lol Sherr

Hi Sherr. Wow, what a beautiful woman you are and the change in such a short time is phenominal!!! I keep saying, I can't go back and change the past, but I can make sure the future is brighter. I knew the changes, but I am SO glad to see that you have opened yourself up to share your before pictures with the rest of the MO board who love you too!! I told you NOT everybody is mean and unaccepting. That color is stunning on you (by the way-can "I" have that shirt when its too big for you?? LOL) I love you and I hope that even though it gets tough sometime, you know that you are NOT ALONE....you even look so much happier!! Ahhhh, Janet.... I don't think I could have made it this far w/o you, your love and support, and letting me whine, biotch and moan...lol. I won't tell anyone the song that my phone is set on when my friends call...but, let's just say, it goes great with your dance You have been closer to a sister to me thru all of this, and when I was recovering in Columbia at my favorite hotel and you came to see me, I soooo didn't want you to leave...lol We have BOTH come so far since that day I met you at the Seminar....doesn't that seem like a million years ago? You have always been the closest WLS Friend....closest to my heart, and I could not muster my strength some days w/o our morning talks. YOU CAN SOOOOO HAVE ANY of the stuff that I no longer need, but I think it will be more fun shopping for new stuff, don't you? LOL No more muscle pullin' woman... love you, Sherr
