Blue Springs Support Group:

Well, I will start off by apologizing first for not posting sooner. But!!!!!!!!!!! We did get 6 inches of snow and I spent Saturday all day and all nite at the nursing home with several other staff members. I finally got home on Sunday at noon and back again today. When we have bad weather, staff calls off because they can not get in due to the bad roads. And some call off because it is a good excuse. But after going in the ditch last week with the ice, I decided to not chance it on the roads, and they I was close by if needed for emergencies. Lets have our first meeting on Monday nite the 29th(next Monday) starting time is 630pm-800pm at the library in Blue Springs. Janet if you read this please give us directions. I think it was Janet. We will orgainze , pick our name, and get acquainted the first nite. I am not sure if library will work (with noise) but we will at least get organized, choose our name etc. Does this agree with everyone? I think Julie also volunteered to help and of course Tony you will be there to help. I would like to encourage everyone, pre-op, post-op and spouses, significant others to attend. We will not be a hospital based support group but we can help each other. So everyone please respond and plan to attend. On another note, my hubby went to doctors last thursday and his heart rate was 42 and up to 72. EKG demonstrated some problems. We had a heart monitor placed on Friday and had it taken off Sat. Waiting for doctor to say what is next. If awe have to go to KU in Kansas I will let you know and you all can proceed with organizing. I plan to be there unless something happens. God Bless you all!! Hey Everyone! Tony is right about the directions to the library. There is another library on South 7 off of I 70. I am still researching meeting places for the future. I'm trying to get YMCA to let us use their meeting room for free! So far they want 25 per hour. My friend is going to see if we can use a place that her friends own. I'll get back with you on this as soon as I find out. Janet

The 29th at 6:30 sounds fine to me as well,This will be my first time at anything like this,So I would'nt know the first thing about any of this lol.I'll be there for sure tho so we can meet and get to know each other and get a name for our group.I believe Janet said on North 7 hwy,The address is 850 NW Hunter DR.( 816 )224-8772 of course in BlueSprings lol,Oh boy,I just got a call from them and I talked to a women there named Terry and she just informed me that they're are goin to have something to do with kids there that same night around that time.She also asked how many of us would be there and said there were not goin to be any accommodations.To me it sounded like it was goin to be a problem,but she was nice about it tho lol. Boy, isn't the weather something! Our school has been out for 7 days! I haven't gotten a call yet, so maybe I can get back to work tomorrow! I am excited about the meeting in Blue Springs. I also need directions to the library. Looking forward to seeing everyone! Patty
