QUESTIONS
Hi Vesta, I don't like the real sweet either.I bought unflavored which is not sweet like the others. I also found that sometimes adding a little lemon water will cut the sweetness.I had made a strawberry one that was sweet, and without milk and added lemon water and it was so good. I buy lemon berry cream slushes from Sonic and that is where I got the idea. Sometimes if you make a lemon water slush out of ice and then start to experiment with what you add it helps. Any noted weight loss yet or inches? Take care Julia.
Vesta,
I have the same problem. Right now all I have is vanilla and I have found the easiest for me to drink is this which I got from Claudette.
1 cup skim milk
1 scoop powder
1 big spoonful of Folgers Decaf crystals dissolved in some ho****er
tiny spoon of Unsweetened hot choc mix
teaspoonful of Kalua or Caramel DiVinci sugar-free syrup
Now, I like mine warm but Claudette adds ice cubes to hers. I'd probably like that in the summer, like a Frappucino.
I think the coffee cuts the sweetness.
However, I have unflavored Unjury protein that I don't use in shakes because I'm not at the stage to use real fruit yet, but I'm looking forward to that time.
Also, in Susan Maria's book there is a recipe for protein pudding that I like but it is sweet. Use any flavor unsweetened pudding mix, 2 cups skim milk and 1 tsp vanilla and whisk that up. After it starts to thicken whisk in 4 scoops of protein powder and then fold in 3/4 cup of no sugar Cool whip. It makes lots but 1/4 of it is 1 protein scoop and 1/2 cup of milk. I think it tastes like white cake batter.
We'll talk on Monday about this anti sweetness thing. I feel exactly the same way and I'm kind of glad.
Hugs to you, my friend.
