Well, second day back to work. A little more tired today. I did not go in until 10 am and stayed until 5 pm. I think it was just one of those days. No sun, cold and everyone was sleepy. I did sleep up in the chair last night because I did a terrible no-no. I took a tiny bit of biscuit, chewed and swallowed. As soon as I did I panicked I thought "Oh, no, what if it swells up and causes a blockage". I did not drink anything as I have heard that it makes it worse. So, I just went on about my night. I did not feel much different. Maybe a little tight so, I slept in the chair for the first half of the night. All was fine, but it I won't be trying that again. Everything is going so well sometimes I wonder if he even did anything in there. I seem to be hungry, but it so not hunger like before it is more just a craving for something like a big plate of nachos. Something you can really chew! Today I ate 2 T. of ricotta for breakfast, for lunch I fixed the Unjury Chicken Broth protein drink (Thank you Julia). It was good, but could not drink it all before it got cold so got down about 3 ounces. It is hard to count your protein when you can't finish any of your drinks and things. Throughout the day I sipped on water and Isopure Pure Protein Grape Freeze drink. Tonight I ate about 3 T of tomato soup and 1 T of carmel pudding. I felt like I could just keep on eating the soup it was so good. I really have to learn what full feels like now. How did you all learn to slow down? I don't feel any physical signs to slow down, so it is hard for me to learn.

Marilyn alot of us have learned the hard way, or at least I have. It's really hard to eat slow when your used to eating and not chewing so much but the first time you swallow something that you havnt chewed very good YOU"LL know cuz it just wont go down very good, esp any kind of meat. For me chicken and turkey just go down so hard, esp if I dont chew it good. If that does happen to you, get some Papaya Enzymes, they are chewable pills, eat a couple of them and that will help desolve whats stuck, or some say eat a lil meat tenderizer. The Papaya you can get at walmart, its only a couple bucks for a bottle. Also if I take just ONE bite to much, watch out cuz it all wants to come back. Im 2 months out and still having to learn to eat slow and to chew chew chew and to sip sip sip. Some days I get all my water and protein in and some days I just try but I cant get it all in. Hope that helps ya a lil, Andrew

agreeing with the others. the only times I have gotten sick was when I ate too fast. If I eat slow, I can tell when I have had enough. I am not so good at getting in drinks when I am at work, but at home I have no problems. I really think the key is tiny bites, resting between bites while you chew chew chew, and then you can easily tell when you are full. Good luck to you.

Marilyn, I think if you OVERDUE it you will KNOW! You will get uncomfortable in one way or another most likely. That's how I began to know my limits. Also, using baby utensils was GREAT for me. I had tiny little utensils I'd use to remind me to eat tiny portions and slowly. You do REALLY have to think about and form new habits. It's not so easy. And most likely you'll slip now and then and cathc yourself and feel guilty and you just have to remember that we all do it and you'll do it different the next time. You may be ble to have more than 3 T of tomatoe soup now??? It MAY be okay to have a bit more if you feel you can handle it. Your body will let you know when it's had enough as long as you go slow, you shouldn't go so far that you'll be sick. I always got a FEELING that I knew I'd had enough...can't describe it but if you aren't feeling it, maybe you do need just a little more. Good luck to you!! Tami

Hi Marilyn~ I am having similar troubles. I started my stage 2 diet and it seems I can eat as much as I want. If I didnt have these cuts on my tummy I wouldnt even think I had, had a surgery. Last night I was starving so I ate a whole bowl of cream of wheat. I thought after a couple of bites my tummy would tell me that I had enough. Well no its not telling me anything. Also this morning I made a protein shake and could of drank the whole thing and I had to stop myself. I dont know what to do I feel like this surgery didnt work for me Gretta
