WHATS HAPPENING -----FRIDAY

Well is it going to snow? Is it not going to snow? We don't snow, now do we? lol Went to see my PCP yesterday about the pain under my shoulder blade and my shoulder and upper spine. She is having me to go have an MRI and x-rays done. She said she thinks all the pain is coming from the shoulder but not for sure. Wants to be sure and rule out anything thing else I guess. I guess the old nurse in me keeps saying the C word but I won't really think that until I'm for sure. Just keep me in your prayers that it is something that can be repaired or fixed or what ever. Lol I sure hope it doesn't get too bad over the week end since I have all sorts of things planned for Monday ,hair appointment, eye doctor, and support meeting. Then Tuesday I have the MRI and x-rays. So just want to know what is going on I can deal with whatever it is as long as I know what I am dealing with. I have been calling different places and things for a friend of mine today. She lives in Ga. And is trying to get surgery. She is extremely obese. She is on Medicare. But she is way over the weight limit for any of the places in Ga. And for most places in between here and there. The Hospital in Columbia, Mo is the only one that said yes we will take her , her weight is no problem. She weights 550 pounds. They are soon to be Medicare certified also. So now all we have to do is find the money to move her up here. She is almost a complete invalid She has family there but they refuse to help her they don't want her to have the surgery. And think that she should be content to just sit in that house day after day forever till she dies. She is only 44 years old and needs to be out and on her own. Some how or the other I will be getting the money together to rent a van and trailer to get her things and her to bring her back up here. We will have to rent a van because she cant get into an ordinary car and sure couldn't climb up into our truck. Right at the moment I don't know when we will be going after her but want it to be soon as possible. Hopefully within a month . So if you all will be praying that we can find a way to financially go get her. I would appreciate it greatly. Andrew: Well how did the jury duty go today? Did you get picked? I am glad that Susan seems to be doing better. Lets hope that exercising and the bland diet will help with what ever the pain was she has. Keep up pushing the water and increase the protein and that will move those pounds off guy. Tony: Good to see you fellow. So good to see the men on the board and good men too. Since your wife works outside the home do you take care of all of the stuff inside the home? Are you a good cook? I hope you can get to the Y and check it out . They usually aren't too expensive. And the hot tub and pool will be of a great benefit to you. Debbie M: The nasty little green bottle of stuff , I think is better if it is really really cold. And I just gulped it really fast. I really didn't think it was that bad but I guess it taste different to everyone. It is sort of a salty lime drink to me. 7 more days and counting. Wow. I really don't know about the time they will keep you in the hospital. Call Dena and ask im sure they can tell you what is the policy on that. And they don't mind you calling and asking. But like you said if he lets you out that same day you could stay in the motel overnight just to be on the safe side. You know what they say about great minds thinking alike , about poor little wyno bird. Lol God does have you in the palm of his hand so take care and walk with him. He will guide you and Dr. Hornbostel all the way. Know that it is a win-win situation all the way. Melissa: I think we all are having group withdrawals. Lol I sure hope we can all get to the meeting Monday night. It will have to really be bad for me not to be there. Believe me. I hope you got some ice to melt today. Maybe the towns need to build huge bonfires lol or I know all the gastric bypass patients need to eat a load of beans an then go outside and pass gas at the same time that ought to do it.the smell alone should melt all the ice in the world. We could all cause global warming all the way to the polar ice caps . Rebecca: Welcome to the Missouri Board. Great to meet you finally. The horror stories I think are greatly overplayed . After all it is much more dramatic to talk about those cases than it is to tell about all the cases where it has saved peoples lives. Congratulations on your marriage such a newly wed. That is wonderful. Tami gave you some good advice there about the insurance. That is what she does all the time so if you can find their web site that sounds like a good thing to do. Where are you living in Missouri. I live way down almost into Ark. But still in Mo. Sherr: These old country folk know what it is to be standed for several days and not have the things you need if you need it and when you need it. There were a lot of people in Springfield that after the storm hit were wishing they had stayed stocked up . They have depleted the stores all the way around the town of Springfield. Yes it isn't fun to see our parents decline in health is it? Of course your parents aren't ready for their death beds yet either. I doubt if they are any older than I am. Lol And I may have things wrong with me, mainly my joints but I also bet I can outwork a lot of younger women lol How is your headache sweetie? Did it finally go away? Vesta: sure hope I get to see you on Monday. Glad that you are feeling so well. How is the water and protein coming along? Tami: I know you are thrilled to finally have power again. We are all so spoiled anymore aren't we? It is really hard to exist now days with no elect. See you at the meeting if we aren't all snowed in. Lana: good to see your smiling face on here too. Glad that you are feeling better. You still sounded a little hoarse when I talked to you but if you are feeling better that is what counts. I would like all our board members to keep our Friend Renee in prayers. Good Morning Jan...Girl, don't even be thinking that your pain could be the "C" word! I rebuke that in JESUS holy name, AMEN!! I understand your fear! I have had my own issues with that because of all the close family members we have lost to that disease! Besides, haven't you been listening to the new reports they have out? They all but have a cure for several types of cancer now! Besides, you and I don't have to go there, sweetie, our Lord has TOTAL control of this and will not allow our cleansed, by the spirit bodies to be touched by such an awful disease. Lean on God, let Him carry you though this! Don't allow those demons to soil your mind, heart body or soul!! You are a gift from God, a wonderful angel that has been sent here to help so many of us. He will not allow anything to happen to you! We won't allow it either.....we all ask in prayer that your body be healed from the pain that plagues you and that your mind be put at ease, that you will feel God's love and His touch from the top of your head to the bottoms of your feet! Not hard but she trys...lol She loves getting in my hair which is kinda short and permed...I'm soo ticklish I can't stand it! I saw that Vesta was starting her post off with saying Hi to Wyno...lol She can be quite the character. Last night Wyno was chirping at me for having the TV up too loud so I turned it up even louder. Wyno then jumped down from her top perch and ran up to the front of her cage and started squawking at me and she makes sure that you know shes looking right at you when she does it! He is sharing an apartment with a (male) friend from the school he was attending. He is no longer in school! Him and his fiancee are not living together I'd say, Grandma, whom Wendy lives with must of put her foot down....good for her! Both Jason and Wendy are working! Jason is working at getting his life back together and told me that he would be praying for me on Friday (surg date) and I told him to have fun on his birthday which is Saturday. We ended our call on a good note and with " I love yous!!" Thank you Jesus!! I started feeling sick yesterday and fell off my diet a little but am back on today and going strong! Derek...good luck with your search for the right insurance company. I had Coventry, they said no to wls, now we have Aetna and they have it in their contract, no on wls. I am on disablilty so Medicare is paying for it. Julia....you poor thing! You are definately in all prayers hun. That must awful for you having to live like that and then not getting any help and the hubby has to be a turd!..no pun intended...lol Cry when you have to, smile when you can and when you laugh, laugh hard! Goood Morning Ya'll, Well I went in for jury duty yesturday morning, ended up being there til almost noon but I didnt get picked to be on the jury. Im kind of glad in a way cuz it was gonna be a long day and possibly evening for those that got picked. They were trying the case right after lunch and wanted it go to the jury yesturday also. I wonder what time they finally got done. It was a pretty simple case I guess, a guy was being charged with takinig a company vehicle without permission, he had it over a weekend without the owner knowing, I guess the owner seen it missing and called the cops and it all went from there. So needless to say Im glad I didnt get picked this time, even tho I'd like to serve on a jury sometime. Jan Im trying to push more and more water, today I have a goal to get 100 oz in plus 3 shakes, I dunno if I can but Im gonna try. Susan is drinking the water with me, she's up to about 75 oz, its easier for her I guess but it sure is helping her alot, Im so proud of her. We missed goin to the gym yesturday, by the time I got outta court and all Susan had to go to work so we're off in a bit to get there. Yesturday was just our cardio part so we did walk here on our road, it was cooooooolld tho so went didnt go all that far. Craig and Jan we will sure be praying for your friend that God brings a quick solution so she can get on her road to victory, It has to be so hard on her but she sure is blessed to have friends like ya'll wanting to help. If there is anything we can possibly do besides prayer pleaseeee let us know. Im always available to help move or anything if nessecary. Deb M. how ya feelin gurl?? Your time is so close. Oh and like someone else said about the stuff you gotta drink, if ya put in the frig and get it real cold its actually not all that bad. Becareful tho, I gulped mine down and within a few mins it came right back up, Susan had to go get me another one, she found cherry flavored (we were at the hotel in sedalia) but the pharmicist said that sometimes gulping reacts on some people, the second one I slowly drank and boy did it work. Anyway just wanted to let ya know about that. Tami so glad you finally got your power back, we were blessed down here that we didnt get the ice like last time, phew. Good to see your posts again!!! Lana, Vesta its really good to see ya'll posting and doing good, we cant wait to come to another meeting up there, prolly the march meeting we'll stop by cuz I have my 3 month appt with Dr. Hornbostel and we thought we could do the round trip thing again. I've just started going to a gym here, boy I've found muscles that I never knew I had lol, keep up the good work!!! Go check on 2 friends with out power, check on my F-I-L and get him a few more thing in case we get this snow. They are talking about approx 6 inches of snow for this weekend. Everyone south of I-44 will be more sleet. But you know the weather people. One minute it is one thing and the next it is something totally differnet. But I wanna still get some things in case. I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I'd forgotten to make. I found the number and dialed it. A man answered, saying "Hello." I politely said, "This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robyn Carter?" Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear "Get the right ***ing number!" and the phone was slammed down on me. I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude. When I tracked down Robyn's correct number to Call her, I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits. After hanging up with her, I decided to call the 'wrong' number again. When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled "You're an asshole!" and hung up. I wrote his number down with the word 'asshole' Next to it, and put it in my desk! drawer . Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up and yell, "You're an asshole!" It always cheered me up. When Caller ID was introduced, I thought my Therapeutic 'asshole' calling would have to stop. So, I called his number and said, "Hi, this is John Smith from the telephone company. I'm calling To see if you're familiar with our Caller ID Program?" He yelled "NO!" and slammed down the phone. I quickly called him back and said, "That's Because you're an asshole!" and hung up. One day I was at the store, getting ready to pull into a parking Spot. Some guy in a black BMW cut me off and pulled Into the spot I had patiently waited for. I hit the horn and yelled that I'd been waiting for that spot, but the idiot ignored me. I noticed a "For Sale" sign in his back window, so I wrote down his number. A couple of days later, right after calling the first asshole (I had his ! number on speed d ial,) I thought that I'd better call the BMW asshole, too. I said, "Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?" He said, "Yes, it is. I asked, "Can you tell me where I can see it?" He said, "Yes, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax. It's a yellow duplex, and the car's parked right out in front." I asked, "What's your name?" He said, "My name is Don Hansen," I asked, "When's a good time to catch you, Don?" I'm coming over right now." Then I hung up and immediately called the police, saying that I lived at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax, and that I was on my way over there to kill my gay lover. Then I called Channel 9 News about the gang! war going down in Oaktree Blvd. in Fairfax. I quickly got into my car and headed over to Fairfax. I got there just in time to watch two ******** beating the crap out of each other in front of six cop cars, an overhead news helicopter and surrounded by a news crew. NOW I feel much better. This is a pretty darn good plan!!! I'm really thinking here cause from my office, calls come up "unknown caller'!!! Think I'd get into any trouble if my boss heard my yelling "your an asshole!" into the phone!? lol Guess I could whisper it too! Believe it or not, today I actually had another co-worker talking to 2 of us about a former employee (who was very nice) and referring to her as a "big fat cow"! She must have said it 4-5 times before I finally said, "I'm sorry, but the name calling needs to stop, it's not necessary" And I walked away. I think she was stunned by my remark. She really hasn't got a clue. She's not a LITTLE person herself and she's in her 40's. She's known in the office as the "informer" cause she is a huge gossip and snitch. I'd like to make some of THOSE a$$hole calls to HER!!!!! lol Okay I'll stop, shame on me! lol She just REALLY got under my skin today and I wanted to say ALOT more to her than I did. But she's caused trouble for me before, or has TRIED to, so I didn't want to go there again. THANKS for the laughs Melissa!!! Tami

OH Momma Jan....reading your post and I am so worried for you. I will definitely pray for you. How long once you have the MRI until they can tell you the results. I have heard that other towns are depleted of supplies as well. It looks like Kennett will not have a lot of bad weather, they've updated our forecast now, it looks like a little snow Saturday night and that's it. Instead of 3 days of ice that sticks and big snow. My parents are 56 and 67, my mom "snagged" an older man LOL They both need knee replacement surgery, but we dont' have any insurance coverage on my mom, so Dad is having his in two weeks. Then, they will have to pay for mom's out right. All my people, I am thinking about you. xoxo Sh
