WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY
Good morning everyone. Hope everyone is fine today. Today I have to go see my PCP about this shoulder and the pain I am having under the right shoulder blade, and in my spine. It is sore to the touch sort of raw feeling. Plus just down right pain. Hopefully it is something that she can do something about.
Can you believe they are calling for snow this weekend? 4 to 6 inches. That is just adding insult to injury isn't it?
Well I guess there isn't a lot we can do about it. Make sure you have a way to keep warm and the right kind of food to eat.
I'm picking up another tank of propane today while in town to be able to stay in the trailer in case the elect goes off.
And picking up a couple of jugs of lamp oil for our lamps. I have loads and loads of candles. So we are ok there. And I always have charcoal and lighter fluid on hand at all times.
Hopefully they are wrong and it doesn't interfere with our support meeting on Monday the 22nd.
Rachael: So glad your sister is doing well after surgery and your mom will be ready here before long. I know she will do well. That was so funny about your nephew. They can sure be funny at that age cant they.
Take care of kids and yourself and keep warm.
Debbie M: well only 8 days till your surgery right? New week at this time you will be getting ready to go to Sedalia. Are you going down the night before so you can be there early? I hope the lap band does work for you and you don't want to go back and do the gastric bypass. That wouldn't be fun would it?
Is good to know that you kept getting confirmation of things yesterday and that people were led by God to say just the right things to you. It is always a pleasure to notice those things isn't it?
Hey that wyno sounds like she really is getting a personality lately. LOL. I guess most winos don't like it loud, you know the hangover headaches are really bad they say. Lol
Why were you typing in the dark? LOL
Was that because Wyno didn't want the lights on too?
Melissa: we will keep positive thought going for NO SNOW accumulation this week end. I want you to be at the meeting on Monday too. It has been forever since you have been and we all miss you. I sure wish we could have more than one meeting a month. I would love it if it were at least twice a month. I get so lonesome to see everyone before the next meeting and your case it has been at what 4 months? That is way too long.
Julia: You had sun shining yesterday? Wow how lucky you are. I am so looking forward to some sunshine. We haven't had any ice or anything but it has been so dreary that I think I am getting really deprived for some. I have 5 free sessions on a tanning bed that I won before Christmas and I am thinking about going to do them. I could use the look of warmth anyway. Lol
I hope you get a good resolve to the phone being stolen but more than likely you won't. That is why it is really important that everyone take note and don't let your cell phone be unattended in areas where there are others. They can disappear quickly and lots of info is on your phones really. Hope you get a resolve to your living space soon. I know how unsettling that can be.
Tony: I hear you met the infamous Wyno? LOL
It is so heartwarming to hear a man say how much he appreciates his wife like you and Andrew do. That is so good. Makes us all feel really good. You will continue to take as good of care of her as you possible know how to.
So what were the movies you watched? Anything good?
Vesta: Yes God bless that gas-x it is a miracle worker isn't it? Debbie I took some to the hospital with me and started using it right away. It is so good to see you back on the boards and feeling well. Glad that you have a nice warm place to walk in. Wal-Mart's is a great place to do it. I hope you get to come to the meeting Monday. Am anxious to see you.
Lana: Hey Lana what you up to today. Are you still off work from the storm? Anxious to see you on Monday too.
I hope we don't all get snowed in and cant go.
Do you still have all your refugees from the ice storm staying with you or have they gotten their elect back on now too.
Sherr: that is a shame that you have to have the migraine headaches so much. I use to have them when I was young but after I had my hysterectomy I haven't had another one at all. I was really relieved to have that be one of the side effects. Lol
Yes I'm doing the southern march to the store today. Getting a tank of propane for the trailer an oil for the lamps and batteries for the flashlights.
Andrew: thought you were going to be AWOL yesterday on me. But a pleasant way to end the day with your post.
Maybe the cold has frozen your brain? Lol
Have fun doing Jury duty lol Would be fun if it were an interesting case I guess. Good chance that you might know the person I guess in a small town like you live in.
Hey tie a string around your finger to remind you to post today. If you don't forget what the string is for we will be ok.
Got an email from Craig he said that his doctor finally took him off his blood pressure medicine.
Everyone have a good day today. It is suppose to be sunny and get above freezing today. Get out the shorts !!!!
I'm ready aren't you?
But we had such a dry year last year that I guess we should be thankful for any kind of moisture we can get at all. So Thank you God we know that you are in control and are doing everything for our good.
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS
JAN
Well good morning ya'll,
Jan I'm gonna post early so I dont forget lol I think my brain went AWOL on ME LoL ai yi yi!! I wasnt minding winter to much until this stuff came in, shee****s just down right cold out these last few days. Thank the Lord I have a heavy coat that I wasnt able to wear for a couple years, now I can, I'd be freeeeeezing. Seems the more I lose the colder I get
My poor wife burns up lately lol I keep telling her it's just her hot flashes lol.
Thats great Craigs PCP took him off his blood pressure meds. Im sure hoping I get taken off mine soon. I found out the BP Med Im on keeps my heart rate slow, so when I work out I have to REALLY work out just to get my heart rate up to 100, when I do cardio on the treadmill I bout wear myself out tryin to get that heart rate up enough to burn calories. I truly think thats one reason Im so slow in getting this weight off. I called my PCP about it last week and he wont change it so guess he feels I really need it for now. My BP has been running great tho, it's hanging around 110/65, give or take a few numbers, thats the lowest its been in years and years.
Susan seems to be doing really well with dieting, her sugar usually runs pretty high all the time, even taking meds she hangs in the 250 range alot. For the last week or so her sugar has been running in the low 100's to 80, thats soooooooo good. She's been doing 2 protein shakes and eating 1 meal a day, she's lost like 10 lbs so far, Im so proud of her, she keeps this up she's gonna out do me lol. Ya'll keep her in your prayers, we all know how hard it is to lose weight on your own, it's not easy even with having surgery but without it it's even harder, she's doing so well.
Deb M, Im so glad to hear your doing better. God works in all kinds of ways, for me this board has been such a way of him speaking to me. We sure can't wait for ya to get on this side of the bench and become a loser, I can see your really gonna do well, how can you not do well with God on your side?
Keep up the good work gurl!!!
Well anyway, I gotta get up from here and get going. Gotta shower and shave and look all purdy for jury duty lol. Ya'll stay warm and safe. Jan thanks for reminding me about lamp oil, I gotta get some of that today Im almost out.
Bless ya's,
Andrew

Good ol' Wyno lol, what a funny little bird,He seems to have his own lil personallity,Cute lil birdie. My wifey just left to drop off our little ones at the babysitters and off to work she go's,Yea shes my sugar Mama, bringing home that bacon lol. Well, another day of loneliness in front of the ol' TV and watch some good ol' scary movies or maybe go down to the YMCA and check out the prices there. If the price is right i'll join up,I could sure use the hot tub right about now on these aching bones lol and with my bad back and all.I better go get up my oldest for school,Take care and be careful today my friends,Godbless.
Good Morning Posties...
Yes Jan, this time next week I will be drinking that nasty little green bottle sitting on my coffee table and getting ready for surgery! I'm gonna try a straw with the Cit Mag to see if I can get it past my tongue to avoid as many taste buds as possible....lol I've had it before...yuko!!
Talk about gag reflexes working overtime! We must do what we must!
Wyno is a character but she wasn't the reason why I was typing in the dark. I was shutting down my computer and office lights when I saw Andrew's post and wanted to reply. I knew it wouldn't take long so I left the lighting off. I just thought it was funny that I was doing better typing in the dark...go figure.
Jan...I could of placed a bet that you were going to say that Wyno wanted the lights off because of a hangover. I thought about that after I posted....too funny!
I think I need to pop over to the Lap Band board today see how many of them stayed overnight at the hospitals with their surgeries. With Dr. H releasing some RNY patients so soon after surgery lately and with my surgery being first thing in the morning I'm wondering if I might be sent home the same day. Nurse Judy said that I would be staying over night, at least but you never know. I do pray that they keep me overnight! Any surgery, no matter how small can cause the body to do weird things and I would like to stay close to Dr. H for as least the first 24 hrs!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If there is ANYONE on this board that has had LAP BAND SURGERY with DR. HORNBOSTEL at BOTHWELL HOSPITAL in SEDALIA, MO. please email me or post, telling me if you released the same day or the following day. I would GREATLY APPRECIATE it! Thank you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm making travel arrangements and don't know if I should get a room for 1 or 2 nights. Oh well, if I get out the same night. I can just rest up at the motel with David
and still be close to the hospital if, God Forbid, anything were to happen! I will bring some broth cubes, sf jellos and stuff like that to keep me nourished, just in case.
Andrew...I'm glad you typed what you did about Susan's blood sugar being lower and that was good! Mine has dropped and anytime I get lower than 120, I start feeling bad. Last night, my blood sugar wouldn't go any higher than 105 and I was feeling really bad. This morning I took my blood sugar and it was 97. I was starting to think bad thoughts, getting nervous and was ready to call my pcp. I then read your post and had to smile! God has this soo under His control! I'm getting weepy eyed just thinking about it.
My questions are being answered before I can ask them! Thank you
Jesus!! and Thank you Andrew and Susan!
Well, I'm feeling pretty good so I'm gonna go try to get some stuff done, like packing and cleaning up this pig pen...lol
Love & Prayers to ALL....Deb M

Deb isnt God so GOOD!!!!!! I get holy ghost bumps everytime the Lord works something out like that. Seems when Susan's sugar gets down to 120 and below she gets all shacky, guess the body is so used to having high sugar levels that it does that when its normal. Tonight her sugar dropped to 55, thought I was gonna have to rush her to the ER quick, thank goodness we had a bit of grape jam left in the frig, it started coming back up, gotta keep and eye on that closer now.
Keep up the good work gurl,
Andrew
Good Morning Everyone:
Well it looks like it is suppose to be a little warmer today. Maybe it will give all this ice a chance to melt before we get hit with a snow storm. Of course I would take snow over ice anyday. Just not this weekend I wanna go to the meeting

Andrew: Please tell Susan what a great job she is doing. 10lbs how great is that!!!!!

A woman stopped by unannounced at her recently married
son's house. She rang the doorbell and walked in. She
was shocked to see her daughter-in-law lying on the
couch, totally naked. Soft music was playing and the
aroma of perfume filled the room.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"I'm waiting for my husband to come home from work,"
the daughter-in-law answered.
"But you're naked!" the mother-in-law exclaimed.
"This is my LOVE dress," the daughter-in-law
explained.
"LOVE dress? But you're naked!"
"My husband LOVES me to wear this dress," she
explained. "It excites him to no end. Every time he
sees me in this dress, he instantly becomes romantic
and ravages me for hours on end. He can't get enough
of me."
The mother-in-law left. When she got home, she
undressed, showered, put on her best perfume, dimmed
the lights, put on a romantic CD, and laid on the
couch waiting for her husband to arrive.
Finally, her husband came home.
He walked in and saw her lying there so provocatively.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"This is my LOVE dress," she whispered, sensually.
"Needs ironing," he said. "What's for dinner?"
Leave it to our men!!!!

Good Morning Missouri,
I am new to the boards.
I have been "lurking" and reading posts for about a week now and thought I would intro myself. I am just starting this process, Gathering info and such. I have thought about getting it for some time now but never really took the time to look too mcuh into it. I think I was afraid because of allthe "horror" stories I have heard about it. Anyway, I have an appointment with my PCP next week for some testing so I will ask her then about her ideas. I am new to Missouri. I moved here from Iowa. in April, and I just got married in November. My husband has lived in St Louis all his life.
My husband has UHC for insurance. I have read there are several plans, I am not sure which one he has yet. I called Bariatrics Dr here and they have done surgeries for people from where my husband works so it sounds like it is covered. Let's just hope I can qualify.
Well, feel free to message me with any ideas on where tostart. I am just kind stuck with all this info and not sure what the next step is.
have a great day!
Blessings to all,
Rebecca

Hi Rebecca, I'm Debbie M and WELCOME!!
I am a transplant Missourian myself, I came from the west coast, CA to be exact. We will try to help you with or through anything obstacle that may come your way during your weight loss surgery (wls) journey. All you have to do is ask!
The main thing is to decide which type of weight loss surgery is best for you! Then find out what your insurance covers and what kind of tests or Drs. they will want you to do or see before they will cover your wls surgery, we call this hoop jumping. Your insurance company controls a lot so finding out what will make them happy helps a great deal. Don't get in any hurry, it may take a couple months or more, depending on your insurance and surgeon.
Good Luck and keep in touch! Deb M
Rebecca
Welcome to the board and Missouri. I too am a transplant from Iowa. I was born and raised there (Des Moines & Winterset****il I was 13. How do you like MO so far??? You will find alot of information here on this board. I read where you heard about al the horror stories. But there are alot of success stories out there also. Good luck with your appointment with your PCP next week. Keep us posted on how your doing!!
Best of Luck
Melissa
