WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY....HUMP DAY

I hope everyone is ok this morning as it got really cold last night. My puppies are still in the green house and won't be out until I can talk my self into going out and letting them out. Lol. Joe and I have been doing jigsaw puzzles in this cold weather, too cold to go outside to do anything, other than what has to be done. Like feed the dogs and get them fresh water, feed the birds and make sure they have water that isn't frozen too. The Chickens next door weren't out but just for a little while today and then back into the chicken coop they went. I guess they will stay in for sure tomorrow. I saw the owners go out there this afternoon and turn on a heat lamp in the coop so I guess they will stay warm thru the night. Julia: I think like May too for the trip to Arkansas Diamond Crater. Glad that you got the service stopped to your phone. How did you know who it was that stole it? Well the sun came out for a little while here did it at your house? I know looking outside it looked beautiful but walk out the door. OH no back into the house for me. Tony: you have a beautiful family and I am sure they all take after your wife and you. You take care of that special wife you have. Having a loving spouse after this surgery is the best medicine in the world. Hope watching the boob tube wasn't too boring yesterday and that your wife was safe going and coming home from work. Andrew: I have been called to Jury duty 2 times in my life but neither time have I gotten picked to be on the jury. I would really like to serve on a really interesting case. Wouldn't you? Well did you all get out and go exercise? Wish I had somewhere to go to do it. Glad that you and Susan are getting I good workouts. Will make a big difference believe me. DebbieM: the getting cold is because your body is losing weight. Or something like that. I read an article that says something to that effect. You will feel better once your body gets in the routine. Usually after just a few days it is easier. If you will incorporate some of the protein shakes into your diet you will get enough protein and they are low enough in calories that you don't have to take up too much room with them. It is going to be ok and in just a few days the scary part will be over. And you will be on your way to a new life. Are you still doing the lap band? I think I saw that is what you had finally decided for sure. I'm sure you will be ok and do just fine. Hang in there girl. Just make sure the shakes and all isn't low blood sugar. That is where the protein shakes would help out some too. Make sure you are getting enough protein. Barb S: good to hear from you and to know that you are really doing well after your surgery. 43 pounds in 8 weeks that is really good. Proud of you girl. I know you are feeling a lot better right? Post more often. Sherr: thanks for posting and glad to see you are ok. Thanks for giving Debbie the encouraging words. Did you go down to Jonesboro on Monday like you said you would? You all didn't get anything over there either but rain did you? Melissa: Good to see your pretty face and was great to talk to you the other night. Will be more wonderful to see and talk to you on the 22nd. That is so nice of you to go to the store for people that can't get out. I hope a lot of the ice and snow and everything melts today. It is supposed to get up to a little warmer today. At least above freezing anyway. Tami: wow you sound like you have had a lot of problems with all of the ice and stuff too. Well what horrible luck that you are one of the only placed around that is without elect. That sounds like some of my luck over the years. Lol Glad you all are safe tho. Do you know how long it will take for them to get you back on? Great that the schools and business are back going. They have closed a lot of the schools in the area until next Monday or Tuesday. Sound to me like the time to gather all the kids together and take off for Fla. To Disney world for a week and when you come back maybe all of this will be over. Lol Colette: wow so glad that you were ok after your spin into the ditch trick. And great that your car is ok. Better be careful woman you don't want to take the chances of those bad thinks happening. Sounds like you all are on your way to getting your support group started. And already have a good core group to start with. Great. I hope you get your new picture on here soon. Miss seeing you when you post. I heard something this past Monday, since it was MLK day. This statement from him "Don't look at the whole staircase, just one step up" I know that a lot of people face challenges daily and with this latest round of problems that everyone is facing it made me think that if you look at the whole problem sometimes it can be really overwhelming but to look at one step and take that one step it is easy and then you take the next step and so on. Soon you are at the top. No matter what your challenge is today just take "one step up" Soon you can look back down and say hey that wasn't that bad and I learned some things along the way. Good Wednesday morning Missouri...... Sorry haven't been around much this last week but I have been busy, busy, busy and my internet was down most of the weekend because of the ice....My parents were out of electric from Saturday until yesterday and I could finally convince them to come over on Monday.....when they got over here my mom and I went through all my daughters clothes and put all the ones that are too small for her in bags and I am going to take them to a resale shop this weekend.....speaking of my daughter today she is officailly 11 months old....I can't believe it, where has time gone? Hope that everyone who is having surgery this month is blessed with a speedy recovery.....I pray each and every day for each and everyone of you, even though I haven't posted a whole lot lately does not mean that I have not read the post....my mom's preop is next Tuesday and her surgery will be on the 31st.....I am so happy that she is finally getting to have her surgery.... My sister is doing wonderful with her surgery.....she has lost 60+ pounds.....she started school yesterday and has set some wonderful goals to obtain while she is in school....I have to share a little funny with you all about my nephew.....one day last week they had woke up and him and my sister were coming downstairs to get dress because he said he was cold....well at the top of the stairs my nephew wanted my sister to carry him and she told him he was a big boy and didn't need to be carried down the stairs....so he proceeded to tell her he was sick and needed carried down the stairs, once again my sister told him he was fine and he could walk down the stairs and then my TWO year old nephew told my sister he was having a heart attack and that is why he needed carried down the stairs.....out of the mouth of babes..... He is something else...... Well I better get myself into the shower because I still need to go start the car and get Jaiden up and dressed for daycare.....thank goodness I only have to get her ready this morning Dalton stayed at my parents so they would not have to get up early this morning because school was cancelled..... Good Morning All ...11 days and counting! I want to thank everyone again for holding me up yesterday, what a mess I was! Every scare, problem and health issue got taken care of, almost as soon as the words were spoke I would get comfirmation on them!! We have an awesome God! I could just about go back to yesterdays posts and pick the words or phrases that were said (typed) and show you which ones came directly from God. I feel those words were given to you to share not just with me but with those that may be going through the same thing as I but are lurking instead of jumping into the pool with the rest of us crazies...lol Even Margie calling yesterday was a comfirmation! Jan, yes I am having the Lap Band for sure now. I have prayed about it and feel that the Lap Band is the one I need. If it doesn't work....(in Arnold's words) I'll be back!! Even Oprah's show yesterday was comfirmation! I hardly ever watch her but she came on and it caught both mine and my hubby's eye. It was about a new diet, (that part wasn't for me) Oprah and this guy were talking about his diet and they mentioned something about the nawing, nagging pains we get when were hungry. They said that those were the times when we're actually losing weight. I told David, if that's the case, I should be anorexic by now...lol This morning in Jan's post, she mentioned that when we get cold like that we are losing weight and I remember reading that in a article somewhere, another comfirmation. All I can say is, it's a good thing my teeth weren't in, they would probably be broke from all the teeth chattering!! Jan...yes. I'm keeping an eye on my blood sugar! It's been down in the 100 to 110 range and for me, when I get that low, I get the shakes, get weak and feeling rough. Today is day four of the 1000 diet and so far, so good! Still cold (am I a skeleton yet?) and not feeling up to my ol self but it seems to be that I'm getting there. Thank you ALL! I will be getting some protien drinks. I think they will help too but I won't drive like this so I gotta wait until the hubby gets home. He has been such a BIG help and the support he is giving is awesome....that right there is an awesome comfirmation! Years back, he never would of or could of been the wonderful, caring, devoted, supportive hubby he is now! God does AWESOME work!! Andrew...David and I both have recieved letters where we were called for jury duty but neither one of us got called to come in. I figure they will get us sooner or later...lol Everyone have a blessed day, it's time to eat so I'm outta here!!...Deb M

Deb Hang in there girl!!! I know you can do it. Is it easy??? Hell no it isnt I wan on a total liquid diet for 2 months. And many times I was ready to stop. But it was God, DH and all the friends I have meet on here that kept me going. Your in my thoughts and prayers hourly!!! Keep up the great work!!! God Bless Melissa P.S. Jan Good Morning!!! Bbbbrrrrrrr it is really cold outside. I was watching the news last night and they said something about snow this weekend. NO!!! I want to come to the meeting this month. I have been looking foward to this for awhile. Were going to check on my F-I-L's house today. So we can run some errands and get some grocery for him. Hi Jan and all, I have ventured out long enough to chip ice off of car so D could go to work. My BooBoo thinks it's time to play now that the sun is shining!!! She is a silly dog. We know one of three people took the phone because a friend was at my sister's with 2 of his friends when it got stolen. He took it out of the leather case and left the charger and took a picture of a friend of ours that was in the case. Crazy Huh? But our friend is trying to find it for us and has ask what needs to be paid to replace it. I have insurance on it but it still cost $50 to replace. It seems that since the person who took it got word I called the sherriff and made a report he is no where to be found. So we will probally have to chalk it up as experience and move on.We should be finding out in a few days what is happening with our apts. The guy wanting to buy was suppose to be here this am, but no show yet and USDA who owns them wants to give us 180 days notice to move. I have not yet sent them the info they need to close us due to waiting for the buyer to get his banker in gear and get something done.So It is a set and wait thing. Hope everyone is doing well and pray we have no more ice or snow storms. Julia

Thankyou Jan,I do have a wonderful family,And I will take good care of them,My wife is using my expedition to go back and fourth to wor****il these roads get better,Her work is about an hour away from home so I feel much safer for her to drive my kids and her to the babysitters and to work in my SUV than her little Geo Prizm. LOL wasnt that bad watching TV Yesterday,Got some Blockbuster movies and watched them most of the day lol. Debbie,I will pray for you hun for you on your surgery date.I know you'll be just fine and cant wait till your on the loosing side.

Thanks Antonio....I appreciate all the prayers I can get! We all have a long road ahead of us! Guess I didn't do as much research as I thought I did...lol I just didn't expect my body to respond like it did and so fast...put me in a tailspin! Jan....Antonio met wyno....lol She came across her cage squawking at us. I think she thought we were talking too loud....lol She acts like a nazi bird! She won't let David turn the TV up too loud (I like that) and the other night it was dark in the front room so David turned the light on and wyno came down from her perch and chewed him out and good. When she acts like that I can almost see her with her wings strategically placed on her hips (if she had them)!!....lol What a character!

Debbie, I am 1 week post op going into my 2nd, I feel good...seems like the week before and 5 days after surgery is the uncomfortable part of it all. the worry before and the worry after to get everything worked out..lol and I had gas but took gas x and that took care of it..you will be fine...God bless....Vesta

Typed a huge long reply and lost it when I went to send it so I'm re-capping quickly. I'm doing great, no problems. We never lost power, just internet.
