Hi Vesta. I feel for you!!! I am just a little over 3 weeks post op and I suffered from terrible gas pain for well over the first week. I used gas x strips...the max allowed everyday and I took 2 at a time...seemed to work better. The only thing that finally made it start to pass was that I rocked my body side to side and then front and back...and I had to make myself relax(which I know is so hard). I did lots of walking and that didnt seem to help near as much as moving my torso around alot. I wish you the best of Luck. Take Care, Valerie
Vesta, I had a horrible time with the gas. All I did was take a bit of medicine and go to sleep with a really ho****er bottle. The ho****er bottle really helped me. I couldn't really walk all that well once I left the hospital because of it. In just a few nights the gas pain was gone. Another thing I did was climb stairs. I could only do a few at a time. This may sound weird, but the "pushing" to get up a stair helped. I never took gas-x or anything like that, but Margie said you can take the infant gas drops. I think they are simithicone. Hope this helps and glad to see that you are doing well.....
Oh Vesta, so very sorry you have that. I didn't but a lady in the hospital with me did and was miserable for 2 weeks. Atleast mine made its way out, ummm, started out smelling SOOOOOOO BAAAAADDDDD. Don't think that something is wrong, I have heard it is normal. Glad you are doing ok, I promise, it will be just a matter of time and you will be back to your old self soon, just smaller.
