Diana: Funny that you mentioned lighter hair....I had to laugh. I was platinum until age 30, and I really liked it. LOL That year, I was diagnosed w/ a brain tumor, and as you can imagine, my life was turned upside down. After 4 surgeries, my hair never seemed to want to "take" the lighter color anymore. And Getting older, and being the boss of a lot of men that were a LOT older than I, I was alays worried if I went lighter, I'd: a.) Look too young b.) Not Look "corporate enough" and stick out like a sore thumb.... NOW, I am perm disabled, so I CAN DO WHAT I WANT...lol.... I am 3 months post op, and use a #20 bleach, will you ask your mom how "high of a lift number she thinks I can safely go".....I am scared t death my hair is going to fall out in clumps or ALL over, and I gotta tell you, I have had to deal with that stuff before, and don't think I should have to deal w/ it again...lol Keep me posted, D! Sherr, I am sorry about all that has happened in your life. Sounds very scary. Makes my problems seem truly very trivial. Mom is of the "old school" and never recommends going more than 2 steps lighter or darker at any time. I asked about hi-lites/streaking and she said wait until 6 months to see if you have any hair loss. If it is going to happen, you will know by then. I am at almost 6 months postop and mine is still coming out pretty heavily. Looks like Chubakka was in the shower with me!!! Hang on to what you have as long as you can. She also recommended when you are ready, going to a professional stylist that specializes in color. Make sure you tell him/her about your surgeries, meds, tumor etc. I bet you will look 21 again soon. Oh to be 21 and know what we know, wouldn't that be great? See ya later. ~Diana~

Oh, Honey, my post wasn't ment to bring you down, it's carthargic for me to be frank about it. I am better than a cat, I bet I have 13 lives...lol I am afraid at 38, I am fully gray or at best mouse brown gray...LOL...if I ever let it go natural...which will not ever happen.... I have been having or doing it myself since I was 12. Can't STAND roots to show...EVER... LOL I am only at 3.5 months so I guess I need to wait anouther 10 weeks or so, before I do anything drastic. I have a 16 year old, so it would be kinda creepy to look 21. He's 6'6" and looks 25 already anyway...that would be WEIRD...LOL..... I live in Kennett, (pop. 12000) I have to drive over an hour each way JUST to get a good nail job, so I doubt I'd trust anyone HERE w/ my hair. I am a LEO, and you know how Lioness's are about their hair "mane" LOL When I lived in Atlanta, and had a job, I went to Salon 313...where a color cost: $330 with a hair cut included........ But, THOSE days are long gone now. I live on Disability, and have always made "whatever money I have" work, so now, I am lucky to get my stuff at Sally's and do I myself. LOL Boy, I just let it "ALL" hang out here...LOL xoxo Sherr

Jan Glad to see that you made it back safely. How were the roads?? I havent ventured out of the house today. Were got around 1 1/2 to 2 inches of ice yesterday. And it is stating to sleet again. Just got out of the shower. I figured I better do it now in case we loose power. Thought I would pop on and check emails and post while I dry off. I think that is wonderful news about Benny!!!! I am going to be in some comfy pj's and watch a movie. I pray you are all safe and warm. PRAISE GOD FOR THE MISSING BOYS RETURN!!!!!!! God Bless Melissa Don't mess with old folks.... A wealthy old lady decides to go on a photo safari in Africa, taking her faithful aged poodle, Cuddles, along for the company. One day the poodle starts chasing butterflies and before long, Cuddles discovers that he's lost. Wandering about, he notices a young leopard heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch. The old poodle thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep-doo-doo now!" Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap the old poodle exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard! I wonder if there are any more around here?" Hearing this, the young leopard halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees. "Whew!", says the leopard, "That was close! That old poodle nearly had me!" Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. So off he goes, but the old poodle sees him heading after the leopard with great speed, and figures that something must be up. The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard. The young leopard is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here, monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine! Now, the old poodle sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?" But instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old poodle says. "Where's that damn monkey? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another leopard! Moral of this story: Don't mess with old folks, for age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill

Anyway we're back. Jan it's good to see you both had a good time. Are ya'll home now?? I just seen where Springfield got 1.25in of ice We got tons of rain, our road was sorta flooded for a bit but so far it hasnt dropped below freezing, tonight we're spose get that, I HOPE not tho. Deb, glad you and David made it back safe. I cant imagine why they wouldnt give you a first floor room, sounds like one lazy desk clerk. I'd be calling the cooperate headquarters about that, they'll sure make it right. As for the anethesiologist (sp) the lady I had during my assesment wasnt all that friendly but when I had surgery I got Mike, he was tremendous and made the whole experience of surgery worth waiting for. I pray you get him for sure when you have surgery. As far as the tube in your throat, they told me the same thing but I dont remember at all them removing it. The only thing I didnt like was the foley but I know that was neccessary. Im glad you all made it safe, if ya need anything or have any questions, email me or feel free to call me anytime. It's great to see the new losers doing so good, keep up the good work ya'll!!! I'll prolly write more later, I been up since 2:30am so Im gonna go take a short nap I think. We had to pick up angelfood this morning, I woke up early when it was raining so hard so I got up to make sure it wasnt icy. Bless ya's Andrew
