One year after Lap Band question

Recently, I haven't been able to eat more than about a quarter cup of food before I start belching or get the hiccups. I have had power belches also which I only had before if I had something stuck. But I have been able to eat more than this in the past. This just started this week and I don't know if things are just swollen from being on antibiotics or what is going on. I don't have any trouble with liquids. They go down like normal. Any ideas before I make an appt with my doctor and spend all that money?

From what I have heard from others, if the band has slipped which is rare, you would not be able to keep anything down including water. It sounds like maybe some restriction has kicked in for you. It doesn't cost anything to call and talk to the nurse. My surgeons nurse is really good about explaining things on the phone. When was your last fill? I'm not a doctor, but I'm almost 3 years post op. I think if you are really worried about it to call the surgeons office. Hope this helps. Janet in KC 368/276/199
