Saw my doctor yesterday and he ordered 4 tests before he would set a date, but added that i was a prime candidate and the surgery would reverse a lot of things that are just starting to happen to me. He ordered, 1) a psych test, 2) a chemical stress test, 3) a asmatic test, and 4) a sleep study. He said all will be done over a two day period in Columbia where he can see me. My doctor is Dr. Scott from the missouri bariatrics at the university. I'm excited!

Hi There.... I saw your post thought I would respond.... First Dr. Scott is a great Doc! (He was my bari Doc) He is one of the top national surgeons in this field. What he ordered for you to do is standard and routine. You will have the psych test prob with Dr. Nancy Halstenson-Bumby. She is very very supportive in this process. You just have to be open and honest with yourself and her in this interview. I doubt you'll be taking any standardized personality tests... I didnt with her when I was going through the "process" It's more of they want to know if you know what youre getting yourself into. Did the Chemical stress test with him also... I was unconfortable because the younger you are the more "Stress" is felt but usually folks over 45 years don't have that problem. I didnt have to do the asmatic test nor the sleep study because I had neither problem, but if you have these it does help on the insurance acceptance that makes it a medical necessity.....
