LapBand Financing -- Know of anyone who will finance?

I tried and tried to get my insurance to pay for surgery but they will not. So...I will pay for this myself. Do you know of any company that will finance the surgery? I would be willing to travel if the situation were right. I am investigating all reasonable options. Thanks!

I have heard you can get financing thru Capitol One. You might want to check with them.

there are a lot of people that go to Mexico that are having to pay them selves. in fact there is a forum on here called south of the border and is people that have gone there to have surgery,. Very certified very good most american trained surgeons good prices. even includes sort of a vacation. Jan

Thanks, I am checking that out. The price is certainly reasonable...but I really want to make sure I'm going to a good facility, if you know what I mean.

if medicare hadnt come thru for me that was where i was heading was mexico. there is a girl on the Missouri board in fact that had hers done in Mexico. She is a nurse. let me see if i can find her and ask her to email you ok? maybe that would give you more info. Jan

Melita, I have gone to Mexico for other procedures, collegen injections and the like, and I have found them to be wonderful. They are most all American trained and speak English and are very loving and caring. I would research it but would not hesitate to go there. You just have to have a PCP in place at home to follow you up. Also, Lap bands need more attention so you'd have to know a surgeon who would do your fills, etc. That might be your biggest issue with going to Mexico.
