looking for advice

anyone used blue cross blue shield of illinois and did they cover the surgery?

Hi , I didnt have bcbs of Ill. but i had bcbs of MO and was approved in 3 days but I am sure it depends on your policy. My policy excluded the surgery but my employer had a clause written in that said it would pay for it if it was medically necessary..Best of luck to you. Valerie

Linda, I work in insurance. You should be able to go to their website and find info about when/if they cover it and all of the requirements. Most insurances are making all that available online now. If not there, just call the number on the back of your card and ask! Tami

My bc policy had a weight loss surgery exclusion. Call the ins co, it couldn't hurt. ~Diana~
