WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY MORNING

Guess who I got an email from? Benny from over close to Joplin. I had wondered and wondered where he was and out of the blue he wrote to me. He said his mother was healing from all the cancer radiation treatments. And that his grandfather had died. He hasn't had his surgery but hopes to in March now. Someone else that I have been wondering about and so has some other people in Wayne Nale. Melissa do you still keep in touch with him? Also David from down in Branson. Has anyone talked to him lately? Would love to get these guys talking on the board again. And maybe getting them to come to the meetings. Well it didn't look like it was going to be a very pretty day yesterday the way it started but it became very pretty even though not quite as warm as yesterday . We cut and pulled more limbs and trees out of the area we are cleaning, called a friend that burns wood and told him to come and get this and he could have all of it he wanted. So he came and helped Joe with a couple of trees that were too big for me to help Joe with. I wore my pedometer while I worked today to see how much I did and I took 7356 steps and use 290 calories lol. I cant walk too far at one time like just out walking because of my knees and back but I can work all day long and I guess that is better than walking for an hour and not doing anything the rest of the day. I don't know. Lana: good to talk to you on the phone today. Don't forget call your doctor today about that cold and cough. I think you need some help getting rid of it. Your body doesn't have the strength to fight it off right now. It needs all your strength to get well. Debbie M: sure hope you found a monitor to put on your computer. That was a good idea about recycle. I belong to one down here in Taney County and there are all sorts of things on there sometimes. Well since Medicare has agreed to pay for your surgery there shouldn't be any problems with you not getting it but I understand your being leery that they might not. Take care and it won't be long before you get to go for surgery too. Sherr: wow you all are getting all the rain on that side of the state. The last two days here have been sunny and beautiful. Sorry about your bone pain. Maybe you need to go see the doctor about it. From what I understand they can give you arthritis meds you just have to be really careful and only use them when you really need them and take something else with them .that is my understanding but check with your doctor about it. Vesta: that is so funny about you buying him a bottle of that stuff too. Yeah he would be wanting to stop on the way too that is for sure. I'm glad you are going the day before surgery it is just too far to try and drive on the day of surgery. Now is your surgery in the morning or in the afternoon? We will be praying for both you and Marilyn Tuesday so don't think we will have forgotten you. Will be waiting for your daughters call. I think Julia is supposed to be over there to see you so tell her hi for me. Colette: We are clearing this out to make a water fall area too with a large pool and steam area connecting to another smaller pool. It will probably take most of the spring and summer to do this but that is ok.good project. Lol I don't know if I have too much energy or just stupid. I get so many ideas in my head about things to do and physically I don't know how to do them so usually have to go find some recruits lol Yeah I hope Craig will listen to all of us and start eating something besides his homemade soup. I know it is probably good and it is safe but he needs to learn to eat other things. He said he didn't want to stretch out his pouch but that is pretty hard to do according to most things I read. Melissa: yeah the Eagles won didn't they. Not by a lot but they did win. I'm glad that you are taking care of yourself. Do you ever hear from Wayne Nale? We were wondering what is going on with him. Did you see where I got an email from Benny? If not look up at the top. Do you still have David's phone number too? We haven't heard from him in a long time. I worry about him because of his heart when we haven't heard from him in a while. I'm glad that you all are taking it really slow about moving. Are you taking a lot or storing it all? Either way it will be a big job. How does your father in law feel about you all moving in with him? Take care . Andrew: that is too bad about all the rain and the mud. I know that has to be depressing. Hope it dries out soon so gravel can be put down. Hey sorry about making you anxious to get flowers planted. Lol I'm sure it will be pretty this spring and summer. I was going thru my flower seeds the other day and I may have a lot more to send Susan in a few days. So sorry Susan is not any better. That is so sad that she is in pain like that. Enjoy the new support group even if it is just you and Brenda. You can visit anyway and maybe next month there will be more and it will grow and grow. Brenda: Hi girl I am really excited for you and your new support group. I just know it is really needed in that area and that it will grow and grow. But like I told Andrew if it is just you and he for a month or two don't get discouraged. It will grow. Have fun and you will have to give us a full report about your meeting. Bob: thanks that is a great compliment to be called a silver box. Thank you and am looking forward to you giving us your report on your doctors visit. Hope you come here often and post , we welcome all silver boxes. Sugar: I spent quite awhile with the Lord about the problem and I too am not worried and will let God take care of it. I know what ever is to be is his will and we will handle it no matter what. Love you little sis. You have loads of prayers going out for you. Deanna: You are such an inspiration to people and what can be done with this wonderful surgery. You look so great. Every time I see your picture I have a hard time seeing that it is you. Your Cody sounds like a niece of mine. She is 6 and hates going to see her dad in Arkansas. Since she started to school she doesn't go as much as she use to and that makes her happy. She went over the Christmas break and when she came back she told her mom that she didn't think she was going back down there anymore. LOL Keep up the good work , no telling where you will wind up at on the weight scale. Tell Cody I am hoping he wins first place with his little car. Hi everyone. Not much going on here today. I do want to share something I did yesterday. I hosted a home party called Tastefully Simple. They are a homebased company that has a variety of foodstuffs. My sister turned me on to them for their spice mixtures. The spices have added a great deal to my meal preparation and added so much variety. Pretty versatile too, you can make condiments/dips/spreads with them when adding fat free sour cream and mayo. Finally something I can enjoy that isn't bad for me!! They also have lots of things that are bad for me, but I guess I have to exercise some restraint. Can't slow down the progress. According to my unreliable scale, looks like I am down 87. A little over the half way point for me!!! I want to wish everyone a good day, the sun is shining here, but it is downright cold outside!! ~Diana~

Good Morning Everyone Bbbrrrrr It's cold outside this morning but the sun sure is shining nice and bright. It's gonna be a purdy day, not suppose to get to warm tho but I can deal with that as long as its not raining anymore. I know we prolly needed the rain but enough is enough for awhile lol. This morning we take Susan back to the doctors so keep her in ya'lls prayers. We're believing for a total healing so that she doesnt have to have surgery or anything. Jan thats awesome you finally heard from Benny. So sad his grandfather died, we'll sure keep him and his family in our prayers. I wish some of the other guys would post some, sheesh we're gonna have to get the Missouri Possie out after em lol. Jan how in the world do you get in all tha****er Im doing good if I get in 64oz, I try and try to keep sipping and sipping and I just cant get much more then that. Lately Im havin trouble remembering to drink my protein shakes, I do one in the morning for breakfast but after that I forget to do another, geeze I hope its not old age setting in already LoL. I seem to be at a stand still again with the weightloss. I been gonna join the gym here in town, hopefully I can do that this week and get a push again. I know I'm not over eating or eating the wrong things cuz I pretty much cant eat a whole lot right now. Lately when I try to eat solid foods they just wont go down very well. I end up eating soup or cottage cheese and SF peaches or something. Im still trying not to forget to chew chew chew, somethings tho just seem to grow the more ya chew, like chicken or turkey, the more I chew the more it expands, eekkk. Tonight is the first support group meeting in the area, ya'll keep the new group in your prayers, I know it's gonna be a great success once it gets going. Im gonna be right over by the church where its gonna be held at when I take Susan to the doc's so Im gonna drive by and be sure I can find it in the day light lol. Good Morning All.... I trust everyone's weekend was good? I am so amazed at your alls weight loss. I KNOW before it's over, the scales will be tipping at a ton....lol and we wonder what's been holding us back! I soo can't wait to join you guys. Your just awesome! What inspirations!!! Did someone pray for my monitor? It's doing fine today...lol I won't say it too loud tho...this thing is sooo temperamental! Well, it's getting closer, I can feel my emotions bubbling up and getting ready for my race to the LOSERS BENCH!! ....not that kind of bubbling, geez! Just so you all know, I have asked Andrew and his wife, Susan to be my angels and they have graciously accepted! Thank you both, so much!! I think Andrew and my hubby, David are like two peas in a pod....they'll probably be on the phone making jokes about me while I'm in recovering! Susan will keep them in line and out of trouble tho...lol Gotta have my back covered with those two getting together!!...lol Kathleen...Thank you for getting everyone going on the weight amounts. It's just amazing how much everyone has lost! Great new pictures too! Looking Good Girl! Sherr...Thank you hun, you have been uplifting for me as well! Sometimes I get to laughing so hard over your posts that I can't see my keyboard....squishy, puffy cheeks only get worse when your laughing! The fact that I'm part Choctah Indian, with the high cheek bones doesn't help one bit either....lol Jan...I have been wondering about Benny and David W too....a few others on here as well, just not real good with names. You guys talking about gardening has given me the bug! I want back out there to work and make my home pretty again. This surgery has just got to work, not only with the weight but help my back, as well. I have been out in my yard in tears before trying to fight the pain and work, my back just wouldn't let me. I have so much faith in God that I will be back out there, maybe not this year but as least the following one. I will probably be able to do some this year but we have 7 acres that has just gone to waste in these last fews years......I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Andrew?? Is the muddy area where you walk, where you drive or both? My daughter had a little place that did that, we put wooden planks and plywood down to walk on. She had a newborn baby and we didn't want any accidents happening to anyone! Good luck with that though! Craig? I hope your looking hun, we're praying for you! You hear your sisters in Christ, they have been there, they know what your going through! I don't but I do know that if you don't eat better your gonna get weaker and weaker and then things could get real ugly for you and NONE of us want that! Hang in there, better times are coming! Lean on the Lord, He's there! Let Him help you! I know, I sound like a Mom but thats okay, I care!! Well, since I'm having such a good day, I think I'm gonna go take advantage of it! It's Monday afternoon as I post. I came home from work about 12:30 so that I could take a nice long bath and relax with my green bottle of Magnesium Citrate. The stuff is not actually that bad going down - waiting to see how I feel about it later - tee hee! I've gathered up the little amount of things that I'm taking to the hospital with me. Deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, personal cleaning wipes, 1 magazine - not that I'll feel like reading - but I get so bored with TV. Any other suggestions on items to pack?? I'm excited, positive and ready to go! I appreciate all the prayers of my friends here on the board! You all are the best support group anyone could ask for! God bless! Marilyn

HI EVERYONE!!! I don't get on here much anymore. Soooo busy but also maybe cause I feel the need to hide! I've put on at least 13 pounds from my all time low now and I HATE it!!! I joined a fitness center with Jim though and I'm averaging 300-400 calories getting burned during each workout between cardio and weights(today begins our 3rd week of going). Hopefully that will even increase more as I build stamina. I'm still wearing the same size clothes BUT if I don't get this under control that won't be the case soon. I know I can do this!!!! It's just a bit depressing, as I was at my goal for over a year then kept teetering back and forth with 5/6 pounds then suddenly it was 13 pounds!!! I did have some personal DRAMA that was affecting my eating habits, you know, that OLD habit of eating to comfort yourself....I was SOOOOOO guilty of doing that. I feel like I'm turning things around a bit though and since I'm sharing this.....maybe that'll be more incentive to get back in control!!!! Jan the pedometer was a great idea........I wish my JOB let me on my feet more, unfortunately I'm stuck behind a desk all the time!!! I am getting up and moving on my breaks though. Plus we get YUMMY food catered in EVERYDAY with DESSERTS so I've decided to avoid that part of the office and am cleaning out all my snacks that are my good choices also. I've stocked up soooooo many good choices that I'm even over eating on some of those. So I'm creating some limitations untill I feel back in control. And before any BOOB comments come, yes I have new ones, but they DO NOT WEIGH 13pounds!!!! Hugs, Tami

Jan Yes, I saw where Benny had emailed you. I had to post to his posting. It is so good to see him on line again. No, I havent heard from Wayne or David in a long time but I do have both of thier phone numbers and will try and give them a call this evening. Yea, my F-I-L is happy about us moving in. But he thinks it is just for a year until he can go try and take his driver test again. We (DH & I) dont figure he will pass it so were not saying anything. Just being agreeable For the most part were getting ride of alot of stuff. Were kind of looking at the move as we will be with him until something happens to him. At which time we will come back to our own home. And we will just rent out our place until then or something else changes. Ya never know!!! How are you doing??? I saw that Sugar got her surgery date is that right??? Please tell her Congrats!!!! God Bless Melissa

Thank you Jan. You are so sweet. Cody would love to not go back to see his Dad but unfortunately that is not an option. I told him when he reaches 12 if he still feels that way, I will hire a lawyer and go back to court. Until he is 12 the judge won't listen to him. Cody says thank you. He is keeping his fingers crossed. After the race I will let you know how he did and post a pic of him and his car (and hopefully his trophy). Deanna
