We are a little sore this morning. Worked all day outside cleaning brush on the lot that we bought last year. The trees that are on there that are under the highline wires they keep triming them back and they look ugly so we cut them down and will plant some pretty flowering trees once we get it all cleaned up. Want to make an entrance flower bed on each side of the drive way. with things like low growing evergreens of some kind, all different heights. Rachael : sounds like you had more than you could really do yesterday especially drawing all that blood. Wow you must be really proud of your son and his grades. Those are excellent. I hope he had a great 9th birthday. How can you not when you are 9??? lol Wow on running. That is on my list of things i wanted to do when i had surgery. I can almost run but not quite. I am practicing at it. lol I have too much trouble walking to try to run. If my knees and back were in good shape i would try it for sure Andrew: well seems you and Joe are at a standoff about jumping in the lake. LOL Im so sorry for Susan, this country is so sorry for their health plans for people that dont have insurance. It is really depressing. We are suppose to be the greatest country in the world and yet we have so many people that are just not taken care of because they have no money to use for doctors. Your support group you all will have over there will be great and i will try to come to one of them. Will probably be in the spring. Marilyn: I know you are getting ready for your surgery today. I guess you dont have to go nearer since you live in Warrensburg? Will be praying for you and Vesta tomorrow. You are both in good hands so dont worry. No laying in bed after surgery im sorry. You need to be up and moving around quite a lot. Dont want to develope blood clots. No not many supplies needed for that first week. S.f. popscicles maybe a couple of boxes. a couple boxes of s.f. jello and a small thing of broth. that is about it. lol if we ate like that forever we could live on pocket change lol Sherr: lol you arent old enough to have alzeheimers, so you must just be nuts. Sorry about the arthritis pain but can understand. I hurt like that too but i dont go to bed because that just makes me hurt worse. I wi**** worked for me. Yes it was a beautiful day yesterday. I still havent taken those new pictures but will in a few days. I need to go get a new haircut first lol Craig: Listen man you dont dump on just normal food. You dump on sugars and excess fats. NOW EAT. You have to have a certain amount of calories and everything. 90 grams of protein, and lots of water. Im not sure about the oz of water at our stage now but i know it is a lot. I get in about 94 oz a day and somedays more than that. You cant be afraid of eating man that sounds like you are trying to be anorexic . You need to make up your mind that you are going to do it and just do it. I know you have a strong will since all you went thru to have this surgery. And you need lots of protein and fluid to help keep your body healthy. You dont have to starve yourself to lose weight . you have to have the protein and water to lose weight. Brenda: lol yeah i thought no one loved me anymore. lol I am so proud of you for starting the new support group over there. Just dont get discouraged if in the first few months you dont have too many there. It will grow. Wow i wish i could walk that far and that long. Well i might be able to if it was level ground but i dont imagine yours is level either. I got in 2000 steps today which isnt bad but no where near 5000. lol you go girl. Debbie M: wow there you are girl. So your insurance is still fighting or what ever? Is there a question that you still wont get your surgery ont the 26th. I think the hospital and Dr. have gotten approval from someone or they wouldnt have scheduled it ? We will continue to pray for you and that mess. Have missed you dear. Was wondering where you were this morning. Vesta: good luck girl will hope to see you at the next support meeting but that may be a little soon for you to ride that far and then back home.but if you get along as well as i did you maybe will be there. Lana: how are you doing? Hope all is well. Are you going back to work Monday? or taking another week off. Let me know I am going to be in Nixa Wednesday. Today just got away from me today. Sugar: I know that everyone will keep you in their prayers that the spot that was seen on the lung xray is nothing more than scar tissue. And you can be happy and excited about March 7th. Everyone please keep her in your prayers. Melissa: are you moving? DONT LIFT ANYTHING!!!!!!! Nothing. lol LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Morning Jan... So far Medicare has agreed to pay for the surgery and I pray that it stays that way. The other two insurances Coventry (old) and Aetna (new) are worthless as far as wls goes. I just don't want Medicare to refuse my surgery in all this mess because of slow paperwork or because some people not doing their job fast enough. Coventry has covered everything for us for years just perfectly until the wls came up. I haven't talked to Aetna at all but it shows in their paperwork that they are the same way as Coventry when it comes to wls, no way no how! It's just that this lawsuit is finally coming to a head and everybody wants their share before I get my hands on it. My attorney got ahold of Medicare because of them being my secondary insurance to make sure that they aren't saying anything is owed to them out of this. Now, either Medicare has or will be putting a lien on my settlement until they decide that they have gotten or will get all their monies before I get mine. I don't want them getting nervous and postponing my surgery until they get the money they think they are intitled to or it's proved that they are owed nothing from the settlement....that clear enough?...lol Well, I gonna go get a shower and hopefully make it to church! I haven't been in weeks and I'm feeling it! God Bless all those going for surgery this week and Craig, I'm taking you to the altar with me this morning, be ready!! Love & Prayers, Deb M

Good Morning Momma J & Company! Argh another rainy day which means bone pain. It's worse in my leg bones than anywhere, isn't that weird? It doesn't seem super cold outside, which could only make me feel worse. I have taken the puppies out and they are eating puppy food breakfast..... I hope everyone has a great day, I will try to add more later...just not feeling good right now. Sherr

YOU KNOW we all love you Vesta. I will be thinking of you the next few days, and know that we ALL will be praying for you and waiting with antisipation to hear that you are A-OK. Do you have someone that is going to keep us posted? Who is going to be calling your hubby to get periodic check ups? IT has been a tremendous joy knowing the Pre-OP Vesta, and I will be waiting for you, Post Op Vesta on the other side my friend. Love you! Sherr

Jan, Good morning. You make me so tired when I read your posts. You have so much ambition and your yard will look spectatular this summer. I do good to have some flowers and lilies and veggies. LOL All is well here, getting over a really bad cough and cold (both hubby and I). It came by us naturally from hugging and kissing all the family as they had it. I felt so rough on Friday that when I got home from work, I had soup and went to bed and rested all day yesterday and I think it really helped it. I feel so much better today and hope to rest more today. Craig - Jans advice to you is correct. You cannot just live on soup. You should be choosing wisely from all the other food groups. Get that book out and review. You should be eating meat, veggies, fruit and yes occassionaly some bread. I eat whole wheat toast. (Ususally 1 slice ). Cottage cheese is great, oatmeal is great, and yes I eat mashed potatoes once in a while too. (A small portion). Drink and drink fluids. I have protein shakes too. Your body needs all of these. This surgery did not say now you cant eat food. Stay away from the sugar. And yes, I am bad as I know I can tolerate sugar. Once in a while I will have a snitch of something - I have not made it a habit though. I can eat popcorn too. but usually only 1 cup or 1/2 cup. I eat a lot of chilli, and casseroles with beans, as they are high in protein. Life will be boring if all you can eat is soup. And yes, I like soup too. Had a big pot of veggie soup last week when I cleaned out the fridge after the gang left. Good luck to all the ones having surgery. You will be in our prayers. Have a great day everyone. Colette

Evening Ya'll, What a rainy day it turned out to be. This place here is like a mud hole, the propery owners are suppose to be bringing in some gravel and all to make the drive alot better but cant until it drys out some, sheesh I wish that sun would come out finally and dry this place out. I been wanting to get some flowers beds dug up and all, that'd be like playing in mud lol. Jan it's all your fault you know??? LoL After seeing your place we are anxious to put in a couple flower beds here lol It wont be nuttin like your place but Im sure it'll look purdy this summer. Yeah I know what ya mean about the goverment here and health insurance Jan. Seems every other country around us, even the UK take care of their people with health insurance and all, I never have understood why the USA is like it is when it comes to that. Ya'll keep Susan (my wife) in your prayers tomorrow, she goes to the doc for tests, we're praying its nothing serious and can be treated easily, that pain in her side that is. Im so looking forward tomorrow evening and the new support group. I know it'll be really good, even if its only a few to start out. Well I hope everyone has a good week. See ya's. Andrew
