Feeling good in the neighborhood!!!
Hey dear ones,
Just a quickie post to say I'm doing fine. Got my drain out Thursday and that was a huge relief. It wasn't working for the last couple of days because I think my cat bit the tube and it wouldn't suction but Dr. Edwards said no problem. I'm not sure how much I've lost, I think ten pounds since surgery. I'll take it. I'm a lightweight so it will be slow. Tonight I told John I feel like the most blessed person on earth to get to have the surgery and to be cured of diabetes, it's truly God's miracle. My cold/cough is still with me but slowly getting better. John has it now. I love you all so much and thank you so much for your prayers. I really feel uplifted by all of you. Must get moving toward bedtime. Hugs and love,
Lana
Awwww, Lana, you are so precious. I am so glad you are doing so well. It only gets better from here. I am barely a month out and am having "wow" moments left and right. As for being a lightweight, what did you start at? I went into surgery at 261. A lightweight by a few standards. As for it coming off slow, I thought it was. When I sit down and look at the bigger numbers, It is coming off pretty darn fast. I have almost lost 30 pounds since surgery and that is without walking a lot. Shhhh, I know I should walk some more, but for me, it doesn't come so easily. I am not saying that is has been easy, because it hasn't. My mind wants my old habits back, but my heart and my body say no. If you had the courage to take the major step that you have already, you have the will to make it work. I am praying for you, and we are taking this journey together!!
Much love,
Kat
