Independence, Mo support group 2nd request for info

There used to be a support group that met at the Indep. Center. I was wondering if they still meet. Can anyone help? I'm really in desparate need of some support right now! If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you! Janet in Kc

I'd love the info on this also...I haven't had the opportunity to go to a support group meeting at all since surgery. I'm at the point now where I could really benefit from meeting with others who share this journey other then online support. Thanks in advance ~~~Triple C.~~~

It bumbs me out that everytime i look on the support group page,It always says being updated,I wished they would hurry up and update the darn thing grr lol.

Janet and Tony, Maybe we will have to start a support group also. I live in Concordia, and Buckner is about 35 minutes from me and Independence is 50 minutes away. We could think about in the odessa Area. I dont know where we could meet but maybe we can find a place. I can go to Sedalia but this would also be closer to me. Any thoughts on this? Hi Colette! I live in Blue Springs. I don't know if that is too far, but I have a nice clubhouse in our apartment complex we could meet. My sister lives in Odessa, but I'm not sure if we could use her house. I'm also not that far from Buckner if there was a place there to meet. I get my hair done in Buckner so I could ask around. Now, as long as everyone is okay with me having a Lap Band and still involved with the support group. I have another friend who could really use some support! She is also a Lap Bander. I welcome all thoughts and suggestions. Janet
