HAPPY NEW YEARS DAY!!!!!! This will be sort of short I think. Just wanted to tell every one of you Happy New Year and hope this next year is all you are hoping for. We went to our granddaughters wedding yesterday. I posted some pictures that I took of the wedding on my profile under granddaughters wedding. There is also one on there of my daughter that works at the resort where they were married. She does the wedding coordination's and reservations too. She says it is really a fun job. Lana: medications you take should be about like what a diabetic would take. But call your doctor to get his approval on it first. You sound like you are doing so well. I felt really well too when I had my surgery. Amazing isn't it? Can't wait to see you at the meeting on the 22nd. Well did the Chiefs win? Hope so. Barbara T: I hope you do get to talk to Tracey She is a wonderful Christian woman too, you two should get along well. And hopefully she can give you some hints or something. We are staying in this evening, too tired to go to a watch service. I too feel like God has really blessed us already this past year with having the surgery and helping us to get more healthy and able to move. Julia: I hope your housing problems work out soon. I know that being up in the air like that is very unsettling isn't it Just remain calm when you go to see Dr.H. and have your list of questions ready. But im sure you know the answers to most of them already don't you? Good luck and hope you get your surgery date soon. Too bad about your car. That is always a pain when you have car trouble isn't it? I hate spending money on our truck when it is sick. Lol Debbie D: glad to hear from you but so sorry to hear about your Uncle's death. But as Christians we always have the assurance and peace in knowing that we will get to see them again. Hope you hear from your insurance soon about your surgery. Did you have fun with your kiddos last night? I bet they really enjoyed staying up with you. Andrew: lol I didn't make it got sleepy and went to bed at 9:30 last night and am now up for awhile but I will get sleepy again soon and head back to bed again. I do this every night. Happy New Year to you too. To all of you that haven't posted in a few days. Miss you. Can't begin to name you all since there are too many and I would leave some one out. Hope Melissa is feeling better now. And will get back on line with us soon. And to everyone I hope this year is the year that makes your life complete and you find the things you are looking for. I know now as an older person what those things are that make life better, Jesus Christ is the reason for our living in the first place and he will take care of all of our needs if we just give it all to him. He doesn't say he will give us that bigger TV or the new car or fancy house. He says all of our needs not wants. And what we mainly need is a better and closer relationship with him and then everything else is secondary and will be better because of being happy in Christ. I hope you all find the closer and better relationship with Him this year and your life will be so sweet. \ LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Happy New Year Ya'll Jan sounds like you had a busy day, no wonder ya went to sleep so early lol Susan went to wor****il 3pm and I went to church, other then that we just spent the evening together, watched a couple movies I rented, Susan fell asleep on the couch about 11pm lol I barely made it til midnight. Jan I wish Susan could get the WLS at the same time as having her gallbladder out, she has no insurance right now. We been looking into insurance for her but my goodness they want 2 arms and a leg just for basic coverage, ai yi yi!! I just put my blackeyed peas and jaw in the crockpot to cook all morning, thats always a tradition with us too, ever since I was a kid I remember my parents cooking blackeyed peas and jaw for prosperity, even tho like Jan I havnt seen it work, but then again like ya just said in this post, God promised to meet our needs not our wants and all of our needs have always been met. Today we're just gonna relax and enjoy the day together. Right now it's pretty cold outside and we're spose to get some snow flurries, just as long as we dont get what denver has. I pray everyone has a blessed day and a good beginning of 2007. Bless ya's, Andrew

Good morning Missouri - I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a prosperous and joyous New Year. In case you didn't hear, the Chiefs did win and they qualified for the playoffs due to Denver losing at home to San Francisco. Their reward is a trip to Indianapolis to play the Colts and Peyton Manning. But, at least they made it. I'm getting ready to watch the Rose Bowl Parade. That has become a tradition for me since I marched in that parade in 1977/78 as a junior in high school. I played the tuba in our high school marching band and got the privilege to participate. It sure was a long, long parade. All total we marched about 8 miles that day. But, we got to see the floats up close at the end of the parade which was truly breathtaking and beautiful. It was amazing when we first turned the corner onto Colorado Blvd and all you could see is people as far as you can see. Ironically enough, the grand marshall at the parade that year was President Gerald Ford who just recently passed. Again, hoping you all joy and prosperity in 2007. And, continued good health improvement as a result of our WLS journeys. Scott

Happy New Year Scott! Yes, I heard about the Chiefs from John. He was driving home and he called to say the Chiefs made it into the playoffs. We have a football trophy in our house, each week the kids and grandkids (who ever wants to participated) call their picks into their dad - which team they think will win by so many points. This was all started back in the 1978's and who ever wins gets the traveling trophy for a year and their name is placed on it. Johns son, Jordan, also called late last nite for his grandpa, and he said"Grandpa get the trophy engraved and send it to me" He won it this year. And what a great kid he is! He is just like his dad, John. They keep me laughing all the time. Happy New Year! Colette

H A P P Y N E W Y E A R !!!!!!!!!! Good morning Jan and Fellow Missourians Well here we are 2007 hhoorrrraayy! I feel so good this morning just got a cold though, I have tried so hard not to get any colds and whammy I have a doozey, but I went to Watch Night service and this is the first time at this church (I changed church last year in April) and I was astonished, the service was just beautiful. Lots going on, children everywhere, songs, praises to God, it was great. At the end of the year the Pastors of my new church sow back into the lives of the congregation by paying a bill for the members that are out of work, every year whatever the year 2007 etc, they take $2007.00 and sow 200.00 dollars into the ten selected members lives it is wonderful to see ministers giving into someones's life. I am very happy God changed my ministry membership direction. Well Jan you know me once I get started it's pretty hard to stop especially when I'm talking about the Father Anyway sweet Lady I just want wish everyone Happy New Year and God's riches blessings be upon all His children, everyone stay healthy and God bless you! HAPPY NEW YEARS !!! Thought I would take the opportunity to wish each of you A Happy New Years!!! Remember to thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed on you this year and all that He will bless you with this next year. God is so good!!! We were indeed blessed the past 7 days with wonderful family time with all our children and their families. We prayed, laughed and spent so much time together, we hated to see it end. We have our children all scattered all over the USA with Texas, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. They all have called and arrived home safely. Praise God. All got a start before the New Years Eve dangerous driving time. We do not have any children close and we miss that since our one daughter and family moved to Houston this past July. I want to thank all of you for being my friend this past year. Without all of your love and support I would not have made it. I love you all. Jan, your pictures are great of the wedding. Another milestone in your life. You also look great in your pictures. Colette
