Chris had a bowel obstruction

Guess it runs in the family after WLS! He went to ER at St. Johns last night, and then they took him by ambulance to see his WLS in Washington, Mo. He had a twisted bowel in the lower intestine, but had surgery, and is doing fine now.

OH my that is bad that he had the obstruction but good that he got it taken care of . Tell him he is in our prayers. Jan

I dont know alot of people in this forum yet but I think Chris is a guy who maybe had his surgery done 2 days before me by Dr. Richardson. Is Chris deaf??? I am thinking I have met him in our one week follow up with the dietician, I am very concerned...can anyone tell me if I am thinking of the right person...or is this someone else? He is not deaf, but you are thinking of the right person..long story. He hears fine but says otherwise...like I said long story.

Chris and his wife seemed so very nice. I am kinda freaked out that he had a problem cuz we had the same surgeons and his surgery was on a tuesday and mine was the thursday after it. The surgeon told me that he had never had any complications come from any of his surgeries...so I felt so confident with him...now Im not so sure. Please tell Chris that I wish him the best and that I hope he gets to feeling better soon. He will be in my prayers. Take Care, Valerie

Bowel obstruction happens at times, but I don't think it has to do with how good or bad a surgeon is. I had him, and he is awesome. I had a bowel obstruction, but a year and a half after the RNY.
