Happy New Year to me, I got the news Friday night at 4:55 that my hours at work will be cut in half because of a lack of work. But, my expenses are still the same, have to drive 30 miles one way for 4 hours of work. I will have so much time on my hands, and am feeling so depressed already and crying for the past day and a half, I am going to blow this, I know I am.

OK, Diana, take a deep breath, slow down, don't even think about blowing it. Look at your beautiful picture. Working has nothing to do with who you are. You are a great, powerful, wonderful woman and you've done so well. Nothing from the outside should be allowed to cause you so much pain. Start making a plan, how long is this cut back going to last? If it's open-ended then start thinking about where else you'd like to work, get a resume together, grab youself by the hand and get out there and find another job. You are so beautiful it will be easy to sell youself to another place to work. Take control of your situation, don't let it control you. You have taken a huge step in your life, had surgery and lost 75-80 pounds. You are strong and you can make it through this set-back. You go girl!!! Hugs and tough love, Lana

Are you doing any better now? I was recently given a plaque that has a Helen Keller quote...."When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." Are you looking at your opened door? : ) Change is GOOD! This may just be a "blessing in disguise" for you! I hope you find what you are looking for! It's not always EASY to let go and move forward, but what's awaiting may be just what you need. : ) Tami
