I have a memorial service of a snow bird (winter/summer traveler) There will be friends and strangers there. I Emcee it, there is no place to hide and there will not be a lot of flowers since this service is merely a passing memorial. I've worn my pulpit robe some (fits over clothes) but this takes place at the funeral home. I no longer wear a tie and most understand but there's a few...I will be praying that I can give my friend Marge a great sendoff and I will be praying that I don't keel over myself and cause a sensation of the pastor who kicked the bucket while presiding over a service. Boo Hoo. Imascared again.
Psalm 121 soothes my heart today, I close my eyes and repeat the familiar words to calm my soul..."I lift up my eyes to the hills--where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber" Most of my friends have not seen my new cane but I decided since I cannot stand erect for very long and support my weight, I needed it. The closer I get to seeing Dr. Scott, the more excited and scared I become!
Bob that is my very favorite verses in the bible. I read that over and over. it has comforted me so many times. to think that He never sleeps and is always watching over me has been such a calming thing for me in my life.
When do you get to see Dr. Scott. you need to fill in your profile some.
