assessment

Well today I had my assessment at the hospital. I went in not to nervous but left terrified. I had all the tests done, EKG, blood work,they took an Xray of my chest. I also talked to the dietision (cant spell) but I think you get what I am saying. Then I talked to the physical theripist. I was there for so long. Also they couldnt find a vein so I am all bruised up. Both arms. The whole experience pretty much sucked. It was pretty funny because the really nice nurse that did all the paper work gave me a 5$ gift card for the gift shop at Bothwell. She said this is for torturing you all morning. So I went to the gift shop and got a water bottle. You cant get to much for 5 $ at the gift shop in a hospital. Anyway I am now feeling worried again. I wish I could just have the surgery and get it over with. This whole experience is so overwelming. I guess once it is over it wont be so bad. I just cant wait till that day comes. On a happier note I went to the mall with my two boys and had a great day yesterday. They both got some money from family back in California so they spent it and we had a blast together. Gretta I guess we were there about the same time, I was there and there was another came in they were working on both us at the same time, I wish I had knew it was you, I was in there from about 8:30 until 11...did they give you all your results...the nurse was Barb. she said I looked like I might be hard to get blood so she called the Lab and they sent someone and she was really good just stuck 1 time so I didnt get a 5.00 gift...lol I am so sorry for your bruises...well I am excited ...see ya soon...Now you just leave everything in Gods Hands you will do fine....love ya ...Vesta

Hi Vesta wow that was you. I was wondering. I saw you holding your folder so I was thinking it might have been you. Was your husband with you? The woman that was there the same time I was had a man with her. I was alone. Wasnt that nurse Barb the sweetest? I sure thought so. No I havnt gotten any test results back, have you? Well I hope everything comes out great for you and I will prob see you at the hospital. Gretta

I hate it when I have to get an iv or give blood. My veins like to roll and hide too. I have been stuck up to 17 times before giving up. On a good note, since I have lost 70 pounds, my veins stick up and they are much easier to get. I hope they will be for you also. Good choice on the $5 item. You will be needing it soon. ~Diana~

Gretta, Relax. take a nice warm bath the worse is over!!! Now you just have to relax and show up. I'll be there to pick on you as much as I can to keep your mind elsewhere That might be worse that you pre-op!!! You will do good girl. Julia
