Hello all... just wanted to update u on the wls.. surgery went fine last Thursday.. had my one week visit yesterday - got the drain out(thank goodness), down 31lbs, got a b12 shot, got the bandages removed... it was a big day. Finally I am on the the next stage of food - boy those grits tasted so good last night.. right now I'm having coffee w/flavored protein powder.. it's good too. So I am taking it one day at a time. I have had a nasty cough which hurts like crazy... hopefully it will be gone in a day or two.. Anyway, thats about the size of it!! Thanks for all of your comments and prayers.. Treece

WTG Treece. That is just awesome! I am down about 33 lbs but it took me all month I can't believe how much better I feel though. That first month for me was sheer torture but everything seems much better now. Maybe it is because the holidays are all past or maybe it is because I am 2 sizes smaller in my clothes. Don't know but life sure feels good this week. Congrats on your weightloss ! Barb

Thanks! Wow 2 sizes smaller already?? I haven't even checked my clothes yet, cause I've been so sick with the cough.. but I will try on something next week as soon as I feel better and maybe I'll have a few more pounds off... COOL!

Hello Treece - awesome first week you had - Congratulations! I can tell much of your success has to do with your positive, sunny attitude. I never thought of putting protein powder in coffee? What kind did you use - that sounds like a wonderful replacement for creamer. Are you drinking decaf? Keep up the good work - remember to start your walking, if you haven't! God Bless, Marilyn

Hi there... thanks! The protein powder in coffee is awesome, there is no need for cream or sugar.. I use decaf maxwell house and I use 'building blocks' protein powder in vanilla ice cream flavor... man its good..

Whew, isn't that the hardest week of your life???? Have you had any things that were cause for concern? Sounds like you are doing great with the loss. If they gave you one of those breathing spirometers, try to use that for the cough, if not, call Dr. You aren't drinking caffeinated coffee are you? Remember, for every caffeinated drink you have, you must drink twice the amount of water to compensate for the diuretic effect. I know, it's a pain!! Good luck!! ~Diana~
