WHATS HAPPENING-------THURSDAY
Wow was the massages ever good. The girl that did mine was so very good. My right shoulder has really been giving me a lot of trouble. I have rotator cup trouble is feels almost like it slips out of socket sometimes. Don't think it does but that is what it feels like. She worked on that and the muscles appear to be back in place for tonight. I'm almost afraid to use that arm since usually all it takes to mess it up is to reach with it and it will pop and then the pain. She really worked on the shoulder and it so far feels good. Joe was in heaven when he came out of there too. He had never had a massage before and said wow that really felt good. Lol We are going back next Wednesday afternoon because we both have some serious problems.
We stopped at wal-mart. I found some pretty good bargains. Found a big tool box for only 5 dollars. Don't know what I will do with it but someone will appreciate it im sure, especially at that price. Also bought several large bags for about half what they normally cost. I don't wrap presents I bag. Lol
Andrew: well did you get your new c-pap machine?
I hope it helps you.
Oh you bet on the seed catalogs deal. I can sit and look for hours. When someone gives me a gift card like that it is harder to buy stuff then than if it were your money. Lol
I don't want to waste it. I guess. Weird huh? But I have been sort of weird most of my life it seems. Lol
Kat: as long as you follow the rules and get in your exercise the weight will start coming off. It will I promise. Mine has been really slow it seems, when I get on the scales I have .10s of pounds lost never full pounds but they all add up.
If you didn't measure before or right after surgery I strongly recommend you do that now. It really gives you a more accurate take on what you are losing, than the scale.
Sorry about the UTI the catheter can and does cause infections but the decreased amount of water we can drink causes a lot of it too.
Rachael: sooooo glad about your mom's approval. That is fantastic. After all of this time. I'm glad that you and your kiddos had a great Christmas. It is a great time of the year to have little ones around isn't it?
Glenna: Happy about your time you have spent with your family and going out to eat with your mom and sister.
Sure wish I still had my mom to do that with.
We have such big plans this New Years eve!!!! If we make it long enough to see in the year, which doubt. Our plans are just like every other year. Bed.
Diana: Has your son in law found anything in the way of a job yet? I am keeping him on my prayer list until you say he has found something. What was it he was doing? Will he be looking in the same field?
And you aren't boring; you're too pretty to be boring. Lol.
Brenda: Yeah after Christmas is sometimes a let down isn't it? We plan and prepare and then it is over. Tell Dennis to no over do it in cutting all that wood. That is really hard work to do that.
So glad you heard from your son in Neb. How wonderful for you and them to be expecting another baby into the family.
Wow I think it is great that you all are going to start a support group over in that area. Most newspapers don't charge for support group ads, at least I don't think so.
There are enough on that side of the state down in that area that you should be able to get some of them to attend. Just don't be disheartened when you first start. It may take awhile to get it going. And you can always put the post on here every month too.
Well wish me luck you all, I am going to apply for this job that I want and is sort of out of my field but not really either. So we will see what happens. I bought me a new pair of slacks and a blazer yesterday to interview in. very professional looking I think? LOL
I see that we are starting to get some more new posters.
Michele M., Stacy Slinked , welcome to the board. We are here for you; we will try to help with any questions.
Tony: sorry about the infection. Yes, sad to say sometimes uti's do happen when you have had surgery. With wls surgery it is probably more so because of the little amount of fluid we are able to get in right away. Push the fluids as much as possible. Sorry for the pain it isn't fun. Keep up the good work on the weight loss. Sounds like you are doing really good in that respect.
Melissa::::::::Putting out a call to Melissa!!!! How are you, how was your trip to your families for Christmas. Did you do ok? Waiting for your post. Miss you.
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS

Good Morning Momma Jan & Co.
I have been packing, packing and more packing away Christmas decorations....NOW why did I put up sooooo much again? LOL
I've been reading, but not posting, haven't really done much since Christmas Eve, except spend time with family. Well, that and PACK AWAY XMAS stuff...lol....
Drinking some Eggnog flavored coffee....I know, Eggnog is one of those flavors you either LOVE or HATE...lol....
I've been buying this coffee for years, I just love it...but haven't really been able to drink coffee until the last few days since surgery. Then it's probably 1/2 cup...lol...
My dad calls that "Playing in the Coffee" if you don't even drink a whole cup.
Christmas Eve I had on a long sleeve shirt and SHORTS, and today it feels like I could freeze my freckles off...this is some weird weather we've been having.....
I hope everyone is okay....and know that we ALL are wishing we'd been massaged on yesterday like Momma J.
xoxo

Good morning Missouri.....
Well I am posting from home this morning because I overslept and called work and told them I wouldn't be in until noon, because my sister is coming to pack up all her stuff out of the basement....she and her two children are moving to Independence.....They will be here around 830am or 900am so I figured I would help them and then go in to work....We are slow anyway.....
Yes, it has been a long time coming for my mom, but I am truly excited....I asked her yesterday how she felt and she said she was scared.....I ask her why and she said of the pain.....so I will have to work with her to learn to deal with her pain.....Hopefully they told her yesterday at Dr Scott's office that they were beginning their schedule so she should hear from them soon....
Yes having children at this time of the year is great....I love to see their smiling faces as they open up all their gifts.....of course my daughter was not exactly old enough to truly enjoy opening but next year watch out, I will be in trouble.....She is a walking terrror right now.....she would rather be out and about then in her little playpen or being held.....she chases her big brother down the hallway every night when he is trying to go to his room or to the restroom....it is funny because he plays along with the game......
I am glad that Lana is doing ok.....To all of you that are getting ready for surgery I pray a sense of easiness over you....and I pray that God will bless the surgeons hands and you will have a speedy recovery.....
Well better get off here so I can at least get my uniform ironed before my sister and dad get here so then all I have to do is shower and get to work when we are done loading the truck......
God bless to everyone and their families....

Well good morning again
Seems like this year is coming to an end so fast, before we know it 2007 will be here. Just 89 hours from now 2007 will be here LoL. Hope everyone has safe plans for the new year. Our church is having a watch night, gamez, snacks, lil bible study then at midnight a candlelight communion service to bring in the new year, we might go to it not sure yet. We went last year but hardly anyone lasted til midnight lol.
Jan so far my new C-PAP worked ok, my pressure on the old machine was set at 16 which is kind of high, this one starts out at 4 then regulates to the pressure it thinks you need so starting off it seemed to be kind of low and i felt like I was working to get air so hopefully that will work itself out, other then that I slept better I think after the pressure adjusted it self more. I cant wait to get enough weight off that I dont even need it anymore.
Brenda I'll be there on Jan 8th for sure. Just lemme know what time and exactly where ya church is at, you told me but I kinda forgot lol I cant remember if its close to fredericktown or out by Lodi LoL
Today I've decided to go and check into a newly opened gym here in town. They dont have a pool but have everything else I'm told, esp the cardio work out stuff so we'll see. I want really get some good workouts going, with this crazy weather walking everyday is sorta hard.
Kat have ya started your walking yet?? I found when I started walking it jump started things for me, plus Dr. H wants us to work up to walking 30mins a day, thats a pretty important part of the program. It took me awhile to work up to 30mins a day but now it comes pretty easy, I can tell when I miss a couple days. Just keep on keepin on, it'll come off. I was getting discouraged at first too but realized I was losing inches first for some reason, like Dr H. told me on my one month check up, Your just getting warmed up!!!
Well Im gonna save this cuz my internet connection has gone down LoL So I'll post it afterwhile. Hope everyone has a good day!!
Bless ya's
Andrew

Good Morning All....
Well, Christmas came and went pretty quick this year, that's a good thing, as least for me. Just never got into it this year.
My daughter, her bf and the kids came by for awhiile on Christmas Eve, we watched movies and chatted. On Christmas, the middle son came over for awhile. We didn't do anything for Christmas this year tho, no big meal or gifts. Well, we bought for the grandkids. The day after Christmas, we took the youngest son's car title down to him, in Springfield. The deal was legit and my hubby's name is off the title...Thank you, Lord and to all the people on here that were praying as well! We didn't stay long, talked for a bit, everyone hugged and said their goodbyes like families are suppose to do...lol Jason was very respectful, he had even gone garage saling and found an stereo/record player and bought it for me.
He sat on my first one years ago, not realizing that it wasn't a solid seat. He thought it would be like sitting on a box. After he got up, I showed him that it wasn't and that he not only cracked the lid but broke the turntable as well, then he felt bad. Funny thing was, he saw it at the garage sale, asked if it worked, bought it and didn't even know what it called...lol Our middle son called it a "album player" Geez, do I feel old?
As for our mother/son relationship with the youngest son, I think we're doing okay. Wendy wasn't there, Jason said she was working. We told him to tell her that we're sorry we missed her and hoped that we could get together soon.
We then headed off to El Dorado Springs to see the oldest son, his wife and the kids, it was a spare moment kinda thing but they weren't home so we left the gifts in their car and a message on their machine. We went out to dinner, then home. The oldest boy called a couple hours later to thank us for the gifts, Grandpa got to talk to his grandaughters and everyone was happy.
Movies, traveling and dropping off gifts to kids, that's what we did for Christmas...I guess you could say, we played Santa and the Mrs's....lol
I pray everyone is doing well...CONGRATS!! to Lana....way to go girl!
Well, I'm dealing with a headache so I think that's about it for me today. See ya all soon...Deb

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!
Hi there Jan,
Sounds like everyone had a wonderful Christmas with their families, it has been quite a buzz around here. I agree with Andrew, 2006 is getting out of here fast, I guess I got a ittle turned around and couldn't figure out what today is the 27th or 28th, finally got that together and man just think in 3 days a brand new year. I plan to do more than just sit around this year since I've been given another opportunity at having a better quality of life, been trying to figure out what I can give back for such a wonderful miracle
Well I really didn't have a lot to say, I'm trying to work on my book, I hope to have it finished in this life time
Well everyone be blessed and have a wonderful day!

Hi everyone. Sounds like everyone had a fantastic Christmas and I am very glad about that. Lana, I am so happy for you. I'm glad you are doing so well that you are posting already. Thank you to the ones who offered advice on my brother's situation. He has an appt. with a lawyer, has already filed for unemployment, has the paperwork for disability through social security, and is going to contact someone about the Disability Laws tomorrow (his doctor gave him the info on who to call). Hopefully he will get somewhere with all of his actions. Jan, no I haven't gone back to work yet but have begun looking on the local school district's website for openings. They are having a job fair in the spring and will definantly be there. Hope all is well with everyone and there families. Have a safe new year's.
