Well, got a bad bladder infection.Talk about pain.Went to the emergency and they told me i had a bad bladder infection and told me its because of the cathetor they had on me.I thought it was gaulstones and it wasnt. So just to let you all know its only like 5% percent of people who get this problem from surgery. So dont get too alarmed,Just thought i would share with my fellow friends,But other then that im ok and still loosing, I'd be suprised if i havn't lost another 25 pounds lol.

Toni, I, too, had the same problem. It was soooo painful. I went to the ER and they gave me liquid septra. I couldn't take it. I chose to live through the pain than take that. I know, shame shame, but I would take 1/4 teaspoon of it and I would throw it up. They wanted me to take 4 teaspoons twice a day. Luckily the infection cleared up in a few days. I also put in a complaint to the hospital where I went because the ER doctor argued with me about me not being able to take pills. I requested an IV with meds in it and he said no. He said that my surgery was the lazy way out and I was stupid for having it done. He also said that I was fat and should have went on a regular diet to "fix my problem". Needless to say I was highly upset and complained. A person with that attitude does not need to be practicing medicine. I am doing better now and the pain is gone. I have upped my water intake and that seems to have helped. Hope all is well!!!

Awww im soo sorry for that dumb Doctor remarks, Who needs an @#%*whoopin,If it were me i would of probably of punched his lights out and then complained lol. And for that medicine yuck its nasty but mine is much severe. I did noticed blood in my urin when i was in icu with the catheter in me and told them about it and they said not to worry that the catheter was comming off and that the blood was probaly caused by the catheter. So my infetion started then i believe. Well anyways glad your home and welcome to the looser side hun.Hope you have a safe and wonderful New Years.

Kat, I hope you keep compliaing to that hospital until you get results. That Dr. should not be working if he has an attitude like that. I had a Dr. like that at an Air Force base in Kansas and reported him. He was let go, thank the LORD!If you ever run into that situation again request to have someone else see you or ask for someone such as nursing supervisor or patient advocate at that time. You don't have to settle for less. You can file a complaint to the medical board also. Keep after it girl, you know if this was one of your children you wouldn't stop so don't settle for less for yourself. Julia
